“Lana said I wasn’t pregnant earlier.” I was turned away from Conner as we got redressed. “She basically just smelled me. Would she really be able to tell that by smell this soon?” I faced him then, waiting to hear his response. He tugged the zipper on his pants up before looking at me, then held out his hand.

“Yeah. Our sense of smell is pretty good. And our bodies are different to humans, remember? We put out quite a different amount of hormones, because of the whole Rut and Dart issue. If you’d gotten pregnant, the Dart would have stopped putting out signals to you to copulate. Also, your scent would have changed as the Dart broke down to help provide you with the rush of hormones you would have needed for the pregnancy.”  Conner explained.

“That whole thing sounds way more complicate
