Blue and I accidentally spent a night together after a wild night in a club. But after being forced to get engage with an obsessive daughter of a businessman, Blue only knows one person who could help him, and that's me.

"Just 100 meals with me then we're done" Blue stared at my emerald eyes expectantly.

"I am not getting dragged into your stupid family problem." I deadpanned.

"Just 100!" Blue insisted, now following me around my room. This is getting ridiculous.

"Why don't you put that number in a lottery draw instead. Perhaps that could bring you more chances of winning" I smiled without my eyes before reaching for my cabinet. I grabbed a box containing my scrunchies and picked my most favorite pink colored one.

I noticed that he finally stopped walking around. I breathed out a sigh of relief. I cant believe the stress this guy is giving me.

"100 dollars per meal, all expenses mine"

"DEAL"

100 meals with him, with no strings attached. I could even earn while I'm at it. see, it's not even that hard, is it?

or so I thought...

Chapter 1: The CEO is missing
"I need you to work on these before 5 pm today, understood?" My mouth fell open when Mr. Parker handed me the box filled with documents needed for tomorrow's presentation. Is he mental? It's 9 AM and he wants me to finish these by 5 PM? not tomorrow but TODAY?! what the flying cucumber. "Excuse me, Mr. Parker, I don't think I would be able to finish these by today, can I ask for a little extension perhaps?" I tried as I speed-walked to catch up with his ridiculously long strides. Finally, when he was about to reach the exit, he turned around abruptly. almost making me bump to his almost overflowing belly. Being alcoholic made him ugly, like really ugly. "5 PM" he deadpanned before slamming the door shut in my face. Fucking asshole. Feeling defeated, I went back to my table and began checking the documents one by one. How the f**k am I going to finish these?! I can't even finish a single essay within 2 hours! As I began to drown myself with all these work responsibilities, I heard Jeff, my colleague come up to me carrying two cups of coffee. "Here" he offered. "You are so perfect. Can I marry you?" I joke as I received the coffee from his left hand. "Well, I don't really mind" He jokingly retaliated. "Damn if someone heard you, they might think you were actually serious" I said now sipping his coffee. "Ash I ha-" "HEY ASHLEY!" a voice cut Jeff off before he was about to finish his sentence. Felling irked by the sudden unwelcome interruption since shouting isn't really allowed in the office, I looked in the direction from where the voice came from. Julie, great. Just who I needed to see. "Hey Julie, nice seeing you here, I wonder how you were able to get inside the building, especially since dogs shouldn't come inside" "f**k you and your stupid sarcastic greetings. You know damn well why I'm here" She spouted, salivas splattering as she did so. I cant believe how quickly she arrived at my table. Anger can really give people superpowers. "I literally have no idea what you're talking about" I feigned ignorance. Honestly, her problem is none of my business, yet I wonder why she kept on barging on my door as if her breakup with her ex was my fault. Typical right? Typical. "You talked to Lucas and you told him that secret that I told you about!" "Secret? okay, first of all, we're not friends. I don't know your birthday and I don't like your demeanor. Second, I don't give a flying f**k about your dude so why would I go out and tell him about god knows what" Okay, I know that was harsh. But someone had to fix her delusions about us being friends. We never talked, we never shared anything, and we were not able to spend at least 5 seconds alone in the women's bathroom. One of us usually leaves first. "You made him hate me!, you told him I sleep with only my dora panties on!" she wailed like a brat. Oh, so that was what she was bitching about. "Now he thinks I'm some weird piece of s**t who couldn't grow up from her childhood" now she's screaming while ugly crying. Jeff placed down his cup and approached Julie, as if trying to console her. The picture almost made me fume, but since we're responsible adults here with paychecks, I calmed myself down and let Jeff do what he does best. "Excuse me ma'am, I think your personal matters should be discussed privately. As you can see, many eyes have seen your actions, so if you're not going to comply with our rules, I will have you escorted out of the building." Oh, I forgot. Jeff is the twin brother of this company's CEO. He's supposed to be the one next in line, but for some reason, he gave it up and decided to work as an ordinary employee. Nobody has seen this company's CEO yet so nobody knows Jeff's real identity. How did I know this? Well, he told me. We're basically office BFFs. "How dare you!" Julie shouted. Then she suddenly looked at me, her eyes red with tears. Her mascara is now a mess and her lipstick made her look like she ate a whole red velvet cake. She looked like a clown. "What?" I asked nonchalantly. I just wanted this to be over. I hate being accused of things I know nothing about. But look where we are. "Wait for my revenge you b***h" She sneered before walking off, her heels clicking loudly on the ceramic floor. "I didn't do anything!" I shouted back before giving her the finger. Once the exit finally slammed shut, I sat back down on my chair and breathed out a heavy sigh. I can't believe that just happened. "I thought those things only happen in movies" Jeff commented. "Are you okay?" He asked, his piercing blue eyes searching my face as if trying to see if I'm hiding something. Not having the energy to talk, I stood up and clapped my hands three times. "Alright folks, the action is over, get your ass back to what you were doing" Soon, everyone began scurrying back to their stations and proceeded with their jobs. It's now 4:30 PM and I am almost done with the documents when all of a sudden, there's a commotion in the corridor. Whatever that was, it wouldn't help with my task therefore I decided to ignore it. But Jeff's voice caught my attention and finally made me look. I can't really hear what he was saying but I can tell that he's agitated. He's talking to a group of bodyguards with his arms waving around as if he's explaining something. But then, his face turned to me and stared for 1 second before ushering the guards to a different location. Alright keep your secrets big guy. Well, I could always ask him about that after I'm done. I might just treat him something on the way home after work. "Your brother is missing?" I coughed when Jeff finally told me the news. We're now at a restaurant after I left the garbage (my task) in the hands of our manager. I don't care whether I did a good job at it or not, the only thing that's important was it's done, and I'm getting paid for it tomorrow. Now back to the topic, turns out Jeff's twin left for work yesterday and didn't come back today. No text messages, no bodyguards, no driver, nothing. Maybe he committed suicide? "Yes, he's missing and everyone is going crazy because of it" He stated while slicing a piece of chicken before dropping it on his mouth. "Well, you seemed to be pretty calm while your relative is nowhere to be found" I may have been wrong but I think I saw him pause for a moment before he continued eating. "If I were you, I'd probably comb the whole city myself just to find that asshole and make him pay for the troubles he caused" I said before taking a huge sip from my apple juice. "They're forcing me to take his place" this time it's my turn to stop dead in my tracks. I know how Jeff hates that position, but things are different now. "But only when Blue is still missing. Nobody knows about this now, so before things get out of hand, I need to take his place temporarily." Blue? What a funny yet cute name. "I guess I'll miss you for a couple of weeks then" I joked half-heartedly. Jeff just smiled before we both fell in silence.
