In the Beginning...
Alex was just not meant to be in this world.  Alex's Mother was Luna of the Frost Moon Clan. Though Luna is putting it lightly. To be the mate of an Alpha is a tremendous gift. The Moon Goddess chose you to be together. But what if YOU didn't want to be together? That's how it was for the Alpha and Luna of the Frost Moon Pack. They had NO love for each other. Only hatred, anger, abuse, neglect. They faught all the time. The Alpha, Caleb had even grabbed her by the throat, in front of the pack.  "Go ahead," she said. "Snap my neck so you can go be with your w***e beta! Set me free from this place!" He let her go and stormed off.  See, wolves mate for life, and werewolves are no exception to this rule. Once you have been fated to be together, that's it. Except Caleb was already with someone, who he would have chosen as his mate. And Rose, well she wasn't one for tradition. She never believed in fated love. She just believed in love. No matter where it took you. Even if it took you to another pack, and another wolf. Which it did, for Rose. Caleb may have believed he was the only one, messing around with another wolf. But at least she was in the same pack. Rose had Daniel. Daniel was Beta of the Hunter's Moon pack. He was strong, handsome. Gentle. The Hunter's moon pack rested in the hills of the Territory, while the Frost Moon resided closer to the city. Each pack never crossed the boundaries of their lands, in fear of a pack war. And no one would mess with the Frost Moon wolf pack. That was suicide. But Daniel had a love for Rose. And no matter how hard he tried to resist her, he just couldn't. He would have forsaken the Moon Goddess for not chosen her as his fated Mate. And because he loved her, he shut himself off for ever finding his true Mate. In secrecy, he met with rose every month, and they would have their way with each other. Until one day, they plotted an escape. Both would run away. Leave the Territory and find a place were they could be together. Fated or not, they were together.  Rose placed his hand across her belly and said, "Where we can all be free."  Daniel's green eyes beamed as he looked down at his hand. "Is it true," he said, barely holding his excitement. "Tell me it's true!" Rose nodded, with a smile so big. "We're going to have a baby!" To keep up appearances to the Frost Moon pack, every month she would sneak out and when she returned to her pack, she would spark an arguement with Caleb, usually ending with the 2 having heated s*x. He hated her sneaking out and always she would return, smelling like the forrest. And hate her as he might, her scent, plus the smell of the forrest would turn his wolf over. You can not deny your Fated Mate. Their smell, their touch would always do something to the beast inside you, even if the human part couldn't stand you. Then one night, Caleb smelled the air around his Mate, while she slept. Something stirred him. He knew she was with child. This made him overjoyed. Maybe, he thought, this is what they needed to find happiness with one another. But then he picked up another scent. One not of their pack. Had she been with another wolf while she was pregnant? His ice blue eyes flickered with something evil. How dare she? But he couldn't harm her at risking the unborn child's health. But he would find this other wolf.  A month had passed, and still they said nothing to each other about the child. Rose had believed she had her Alpha fooled. She would wear flowy dresses to hide her growing belly and shower often to remove the scent. But he knew. And he was angry. Again, she would slip away in the night, and he would wake, waiting. Another month passed and he decided to follow her this time. He would stay far enough away as to not have her pick up his scent. But this time it was different. This time she stopped by a hollowed tree to grab some belongings. She hidened some of her things? Why?  She continued into the woods and he followed. When they came to a small clearing, he ducked back, hiden by the lush of the forrest and watched. As she approached the center, another figure entered. The Alpha raised his head to see them embrace, he pulled her into his arms, lifting her gently. "Are you ready to go, my love?" He asked. "MY LOVE?!" Caleb boomed, approaching them. Anger seethed though his body. It was so loud it made Rose and Daniel jump. "That is the LUNA to the Frost Moon pack!" His voice echoed through the trees. "If she is anyone's love, she's mine!" Rose rolled her eyes. "Come on Caleb. Just let me go. You can be with whoever and be happy. Let me be happy." "Not with our child growing in your belly!" He hissed. "You want to go, fine. But the child stays with me." "And if it's not your baby?" She snapped back. The words we like a slap to him. So hard he took a step back.  Daniel lowered his head at the 2 Alphas, in worry and panic. If the child is his, the Alpha will kill it. If the child is the Alpha's it meant Rose betrayed him. How did this happen? Why would the Alpha believe it was his?  Without warning, the Alpha shifted and lunged at them. Rose could feel her shift, but Daniel protested. Shifting while pregnant can harm or even kill the baby. She took a breath as Caleb neared them, growling along the way. Beta's unlike the Alpha can't quick shift. Every bone in Daniel's body beings to pop and snap, but before he could complete his transformation, Cabel was on him and wripped out his throat. Rose stepped back in horror and Daniel's lifeless body lay before her. Caleb turned back, slowly walking towards her. She stepped back and with each step, whept soft, voiceless sobs.  "How could you do this to me, Rose?" His naked body dripping with sweat and Daniel's blood. "Never would I betray you like this!" He stood infront of her, his body trembling. "Why?" She covered one hand with her mouth, shaking her head as tears flowed from her eyes. Another hand over her belly, as if to protect her child. "Please..." was all that came from her mouth, as his claws came up, lacerating her jugular. She dropped to her knees, holding her throat, gasping for life. She reached out to him. "You did this Rose. You did this." She fell forward. Wriggling. As if every part of her was fighting to servive until her grey eyes held no more life in them. As her last breath left her body, Caleb turned her over, and with a single claw, sliced her from navel to pubic bone, removing the baby from inside her. Freeing the infant from its umbilical sack, he looked at her, so small and innocent. A premature life, and as it takes a breath, it cries. Caleb released soft wimpers as he hugged the child.  The moon, full in it's glory, shines on them. "Moon Goddess," he says, "protect my child..." but stopped mid sentence as he looked, bewildered at the baby. Who's brown eyes are now opened. Peering up at him. Caleb looked back to Daniel then to the child. This is the baby of an affair. A betrayal. He could NEVER take this child back to the house and raise it. Not another wolf's child. She let out another harsh cry for it is cold and she is hungry. He placed her in the arms of her dead mother and rose to his feet. Hopefully the child won't suffer too long before death takes her, he thought, turning his back to them and heading back to the house. The child's cries were all her heard. A rogue wolf, looking for something to eat came upon the couple. She sniffed the male's lifeless body and moved to the female's. As she did, she could hear the soft sound of the infant. Slowly changing back into her human form, she picked up the child. "Shhhh!" She said, "S'gonna be ok, Love. I got you, I got you."
