Louise is the seer for the Oak Grove Coven. Something which they wish to keep hidden from the rest of the supernatural world. She spends her days working as the assistant to her coven elder portraying the seer. At night her dreams are dominated by a presence that promises a different life from the rules of the seer and from her coven.

Typical Thursday
The appointments started as they usually did. Clients looking for answers that were right in their faces or lost mates. “Louise was that the last client” shouts Gwen, the elder posing as the seer currently. “Yes, Elder Gwen” I reply quickly, she isn’t a woman known for her patience. A tall lean woman with eagle features to match the tight blonde bun on the top of her head“ Good, have my tea and my afternoon snack ready after my well earned rest” she demanded walking past my desk. “Yes, Elder” once again replying quickly to avoid her scorn. The back of my hand can still feel the last time I wasn’t fast enough. For someone who is actually the seer you would think I would of seen that cane coming. This is how the Oak Grove Coven has always portrayed their seer to the world, an older woman with an assistant to help in her mystic ways. This helps the coven protect the seer from anyone who would want the power for themselves. I move from my desk to my adjoining apartment to prepare Gwen’s tea and snack. I toss my auburn clock on the coat rack silly to wear it really but our coven is one for tradition. I placed the teapot onto the stove and look around my small but cosy room, my bed unmade from where I had to spring from it this morning to the few pictures I am allowed keep as strict as Gwen is I have heard other junior witches and warlocks having a harder time with their Elders. When we turn 16 our powers present themselves some for healing, others for spell creation, mine came full blown with a vision of the elders hand I was holding with his paired partner cheating on him , to say the telling of my vision was not a pretty one is an understatement.Tying up my long brown hair in my favourite top knot and throwing on my comfortable sweat pants and hoodie, I stare into the mirror my large ice blue eyes framed by my long lashes reflecting the dream that has chased me since the night I turned 14. It had been the best birthday I could wish for all my friends had come to my birthday party, which thanks to my parents we had been allowed to leave the coven grounds and go to the cinema, the human movies are so strange the witches and wizards running around with sticks to perform spells. We had laughed the whole way home about it. As I drifted off to sleep that night I found myself in the most beautiful meadow with blooming flowers surrounded by the tallest trees I had ever seen, there was a heavenly smell of the woods after the rain and fresh cut grass. Strange smell for a forest but it was my dream and I didn't question it. That’s where I first heard the growl, it didn’t frighten me it sounded lost and alone. Something told me I had to find the source and comfort it somehow. The whistling teapot drew me back into this world, I raced to take it off the heat as the noise could wake Gwen easily. I made her peppermint tea and placed a red current scone with butter, jam and clotted cream on a plate and headed down the softly lit hall to her master room. Knocking gently on the oak door, I awaited her command to enter. “Enter, Louise. My tea better not be cold like yesterday” she proclaims from her perched position among her many pillows. “ No Elder Gwen I made sure it was sufficiently warm this time” I try to say without a tone. With no response I breath a hurried breath and deposit her food onto her side table and swiftly move to exit the room before she can think of a task for me to do. Just as I close the door I hear her little ahem break the silence “ Forgetting something Louise” she grins. I rack my brains with what I could of forgotten, even being the seer my powers has limits I need skin contact to see what people are looking for. “ Tomorrow schedule have you completed it, what time is my first appointment and with who, how could you have forgotten silly child?” She turns expectedly in her bed to face me, waiting for my response to her comment. Usually being called a silly child as a woman of 22 she would get a sharp response but seeing as I set our friday to put her in a good mood I thought against it. So she will be more amenable to my request of attending the weekends bonfire, I haven't behaved lately and her punishments have left my social life in the non existent category. “ Yes Elder Gwen, first appointment is Alpha Derek from the Howling Moon pack his daughter has gone missing and he is concerned, the appointment is set for 11 o clock” I rush out before she can interrupt me. “ 11, perfect. I like a later start on a Friday, you may leave the evening is your own” she dismisses me with a wave of her hand. Closing the door with as little noise as I can, I rush down the hall and back to my room, only leaving out the breath I had been holding since i closed the door. Perfect an evening to myself I can shower and prepare for the next day, I sometimes need to get creative in how I touch the clients without raising suspicion most shake my hand when offered some prefer not to touch a witch old habits die hard among some of the older generations. The process is simple really most are thinking of their issues when they enter the seers office or domain as Gwen likes to call it, a simple touch and I have everything I need to relay to Gwen before the person enters her chambers. A simple I will prepare the seer for your entrance and I give her the answers that they are looking for. After relaxing and finishing my well worn copy of my favourite Brontë book. I change into my shorts and t-shirt for bed and slide under my welcoming duvet.
