Chapter I
Jaelyn POV The warm sunlight hit my face, causing my heavy eyelids to be peeled open. I glanced over the wall clock to see it was already 2:00 pm. Typical me. I stretched up my body, as I crawled out of bed, heading straight to the bathroom. I grabbed my toothbrush, staring at my own reflection in the mirror. I noticed the rat's nest resting above my head, an absurd idea popped into my head right away, that I'd regretted a second after. I brushed my hair with the toothbrush... I shouldn't have done that. *** "Wash my teeth?" Being the weird female that I am. I asked myself out loud in my bathroom where the ghosts that resided there could've easily heard. 'Nah; that's going to take too long.' My inner-self replied. I shrugged and dragged myself into the tile shower tub, and did my usual routine. I walked out of the bathroom, butt naked with water dripping from body. Oh, right! I went back inside and dried myself up quickly before I came out again. "Today I am going to pick Vicky from the airport, I have no clue what to do, but I know well that I've to look fine, specially when her prick of boyfriend is going to be there, to prevent his harassment." I told my timeworn teddy bear. I'd had it since I was a little child. My Mum bought it for me, on my fourth birthday. Tedd and I became close friends ever since. I'd been telling him all my dark little secrets. You're probably thinking by now that I'm a miserable, lone wolf. It's true. I hate this life. I've been all alone since my parents died in a train crash accidents many years ago. My family kicked me out. They thought I was bothersome and too much to handle. They didn't want to pay money to feed me, but I don't blame them. I eat too much it's concerning. *** I arrived at the airport after hours of struggling to find it. Vi had probably arrived by then and was surely looking for me. However some things didn't really go as planned. I– Suddenly my phone rang, snapping my undivided attention to it. I picked up and proceeded to speak, "Hello" "Vicky, is that you!" I exclaimed happily into the phone. "Yes, where are you?" "I was kind of kicked out, because um ... never mind." "What did you do?" "Well, don't blame me. It wasn't my fault. I was just trying to explore around." "Whatever, where are you at the moment?" "Right in front of you!" She gasped right as she saw me, and grinned widely. I stretched my arms out to embrace her, a tight bear hug, but I was confused, when I didn't feel her presence. She wasn't there. Has she just disappeared? Holy Crap! Angry ghosts are real! Oh wait, she is right there, kissing a guy- WAIT, WHAT! I cleared my throat catching their attention. "Um ... Do you guys mind kissing each other later?" I complained, looking between them. "What's wrong with you, Weirdo? Can't you see that my girlfriend and I are trying to enjoy ourselves right now?" He spoke in a rude way to me. I am offended. "Hey, don't you dare call me names." I pointed my index finger at him, as a some sort of warning. "I can do whatever the hell I want." He snarled. "WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE-" Vicky cut me off. "Stop fighting! It's not nice seeing my boyfriend and bestfriend exchanging blows out at the airport instead of spending time with me before I go on to my next fight." "Oh. So you know that frea- I mean girl." I narrowed my eyes at him. As if! "I am her childhood best friend, right Vi?" She nodded, and I smiled. "Well then, sorry for what I've said earlier." "Yes, of course you are." I muttered. We got in his car, of course me being the third wheel that I am. I sat on the backseat of the car, not that I'm complaining- No, I'm actually complaining. The whole time, I was sending death glares to 'Vicky's boyfriend' through the rear-view mirror, not feeling that my trip was going to end well. It was just a bad feeling! Maybe! I looked out of the window and noticed that we were in the middle of the woods, only trees and bushes could be seen. I frowned just as it hit me. "Um ... Guys, I am having difficulties." "What's wrong?" They chorus. "I need to pee, really bad." I whispered, as my cheeks flushed red from embarrassment, but hey. Hasn't everyone been put in a situation like this before? "Don't worry, Jaelyn, we're about to reach my home." "Such a baby." Vicky's boyfriend muttered, under his breath. "Hey, I heard you. I am NOT a baby." "Oh, really. Well prove then." "I am ... " I trailed off. What do I say? Oh, yeah! "I do not wear diapers." He scoffed. "Maybe you should." "Babe!" Vicky said, I could feel she was trying to hold back her laughter. "What? You heard me?" "Stop." She told him. "Whatever." We sat in silence, but suddenly the car made an abrupt stop, causing my head to hit the seat up-front of me. "What the hell?" "What happened?" Vicky asked her boyfriend worriedly. "I don't know." He opened the door and slammed it shut as he got out. *** I huffed, braiding a strand of my hair out of boredom. Vickey shifted uncomfortably in her seat, awkward silent was the only thing felt throughout the entire car. Her boyfriend had been gone for over ten minutes. "I'm going to check on him." She broke the silence, getting out the car, and leaving me on my own. I don't like this! Minutes later... The oxygen was running out of the car and my head started spinning. I tried opening the door, but it was locked. How?! I kept pushing the door open and tapping the window hoping that someone would hear me, but no there was no use. "HELP?!" I screamed, pretty sure that no one would hear me. "ANYBODY HELP! I'M CHOKING." I kept screaming and screaming, in return all I earned was dead silence. That was when my vision spun and my lungs wizened, begging for fresh air. I couldn't do nothing about so I surrendered and let my eyelids drop slowly until it was all pitch black.
