Are you afraid yet?

    When it comes to love, Layla has never had the best luck. She is a 17 year old who is trying to do her best and keep it together. Her mother and father were always like fire and gasoline as she was growing up. One day, her mother just left in the middle of the night when she was 8 years old. Layla could never understand why her mother would ever leave her with her father. He was not a good man at all. He made her into his personal maid and punching bag. If it were not for Layla, then they would not have somewhere to live. She has a job at a local club. The owner of the club felt bad for her and he has it just to where she is a waitress and that is all. The clients are not allow to touch her and the men there keep her safe. Right now Layla woke up late and she is trying to get passed her dad so she can get to work.     Layla pleaded, "Please let me go. I need to get to work."     Her father smacked her, "I wish your mother would have just taken you with her. I never wanted a waste of space like you ever. She should have just aborted you."     She dodged his next hit and quickly left the house. She grabbed her bicycle and rode to work. She ran into the building and quickly clocked in. She then felt something hard hit her. She looked and she saw it was Michael, the owner. He looked at her with pity, "Layla, you are late."     She apologized, "I am so sorry. I promise it will never happen ever again."     He went to reach out to her, but she flinched away from him, "Did he hit you?"     She lied, "No, I tripped and fell." She was use to lying about her dad. She was sure everyone knew it, but she never wanted to admit that she was being hit all the time.     He sighed and said, "We are having a big business meeting here today. Just make sure to keep up with orders and if there are any problems then you need to let James or me know. We will take care of anyone."     Layla walked out to the bar and she noticed that there were a ton of men in suits. She has never seen so many people with suits before. She seen two men standing and talking together. She walked over to them, "Hi, may I get you some drinks?"     One of the men looked surprised, "I do not mean any kind of disrespect, but you look a little young to be working here."     She smiled, "I am working here while I am not in school. I am trying to get out of a bad situation."     He smiled at her, "I am Logan and this is my brother Ben."     She said, "I am Layla. May I get you some drinks?"     Ben smiled at her and said, "We will just have two waters please."     Layla turned and went to get them some drinks. She could not help but to notice that they were both very good looking and they had some amazing dark brown eyes. She felt a connection to them and she could not figure out why. She grabbed their waters and went to take it back to them, but a man grabbed her.     He smiled at her, "Well where have you been all of my life."     Layla said calmly, "Please let me go now."     He smelled of alcohol, "No, I think I am going to have some fun with you."     She yelled, "Let me go now!" She tried fighting him, but he smacked her and she could taste blood.     Suddenly she felt a weight being lifted off of her. She felt someone help her up. She started fighting, "Let me go. Get off of me."     A voice suddenly calmed her, "Layla it is okay now."     She looked at the voice and it was Logan. He held her arms and made her look at him, "Are you hurt?"     She started stuttering, "N-N-no I am okay." She looked around and noticed the Ben had the guy who had attacked her in his arms.     Michael and James came running over. Michael looked at Layla, "Are you okay?"     She looked at Michael, "I am okay. Thankfully, Ben and Logan saved me from him."     Michael yelled for the bouncer, "Kyle, get this asshole out of here now!" They watched as Kyle took the guy out of the club and Michael looked at James, "Get Layla a glass of water please." He then looked at Ben and Logan, "Thank you for helping her."     Ben said, "There is no need for thank you. We are happy to help."     Logan said, "We just wanted her safe." When Layla heard them talk, she just felt safe and for some reason she did not want to be without them.     Layla spoke up, "I am going to go to the back to go sit down for a minute." They watched her as she went to the back. She sat down and just stared down at the floor. She hated being treated badly. She did not even know why she was even still alive. Her own father hated her, her mother left her. Nobody was ever going to love her anyways. She shook her head, she could not start thinking this way. She needs to be strong. She was shaken out of her thoughts when there was a knock at the door.     Logan came in and asked, "Layla, are you really okay?"     She tried to nod her head and she felt tears fall out of her eyes. Logan pulled her to him, "Hey, it is going to be okay. Please do not cry."     Layla pushed him away, "I am sorry, I need to go." She got up and started running out of the club. Logan and Ben felt their hearts being pulled as they watched her run away.     Logan looked at Ben, "We need to save her."
