Alexandra Shaw always vowed to return to her hometown of Silverport, Al. She had been forced to leave at sixteen following the deaths of her parents. Six years later, Alexandra finally got the opportunity to return. She knew there was a possibility of running into her old boyfriend Rowen, but she never expected to feel so strongly attached to him. She had heard about his playboy ways, but from their first reunion at The Jaded Anchor, it was as if there was a magnetic pull between the two of them. No matter how hard she tried she couldn’t resist him.

Rowen Blakesley was next in line to become Alpha of the WestBeach wolf pack, but Rowan didn’t care if he became alpha. He wasn’t on great terms with his father. In fact, he had never really forgiven his father for ordering the attack on his ex-girlfriend Alexandra’s pack, killing her parents. He spent most of his time getting drunk at his bar and sleeping with different women. When Alexandra walked into his bar his entire world changed. It was as if he had been thrown back in time. The moment he held her he knew he would never be the same.

Unexpected surprises tossed at the two of them will have them fighting for their love and each other. Will their relationship survive?

Prologue
“Come on, little siren, keep up.” Rowen Blakesley called out to the petite teenager with the auburn curls who was following him across the burning white sand of Silverport’s most secluded beach. No one knew about this part of the beach, well no one who mattered. This was the private beach of Rowen Blakesley and Alexandra Shaw. That’s what sixteen-year-old Alexandra thought at least. “No fair Rowen, you jerk, you have longer legs than me!” Alexandra pretended to pout while pumping her legs faster despite how her feet sank into the sand with every step. Alexandra was at least a foot shorter than her companion, despite her being three months older. He had the advantage, but that fact didn't slow her down. One day she would beat him, but she knew it wouldn’t be today. Alexandra slowed down when she caught sight of her almost sixteen-year-old boyfriend. He had beaten her to the water's edge again. She stuck her tongue out at him when she reached his side. “You might run faster than me, but we both know I’m the fastest swimmer.” It was true, she could beat Rowen at any swimming race. That’s the reason he called her little siren. He said she reminded him of a mermaid because of how fast she swam and because of her red hair. “Yeah yeah, siren.” Rowen looked down at his girlfriend and kissed her teasingly before racing into the ocean leaving her behind on the shore still distracted by his kiss. “Beat ya to the rock!” He called knowing he would need the head start. “Boys!” Alexandra huffed before she dove into the waves like she really was a mythical sea creature. She easily beat him to the rock even with his cheating. He had thought that by distracting her with that kiss so he could get a good head start, but it hasn’t worked. “Ha! I’m the best. Say it. Say it, Rowen. Tell me how amazing I am.” Alexandra teased him. Her auburn hair gleamed in the sunlight which was shining down brighter than before. So bright that the girl had to use her hand to block the blinding rays. “You’re the best. You’re so amazing. Blah blah. Now come home. I need my mate.” Rowen whispered looking down at her from his new position on the rock. His voice had changed, it no longer held the innocence of teenage arrogance. It was deep, the voice of a man. Alexandra looked up at a face she didn’t immediately recognize. It was familiar, but different at the same time. She knew it was Rowen, but he wasn’t a teenager anymore, he was grown. Alexandra looked down at her own body, she no longer seen the body of a sixteen-year-old. Instead, she saw the curves of her twenty two year old body. The curves of her hips and the fullness of her breast hadn’t been there a second ago. Strange. “Rowen?” Alexandra heard the confusion and shock in her voice as she spoke. Slowly she rose to her feet and placed her hands on his burning chest. His abs seemed to ripple beneath her touch. His hands moved to her waist and he pulled her body forward, so she was flush against him. Alexandra opened her lips to ask him what he meant about the whole mate thing then she shut them again. She had misheard him, surely. ‘Mate’ was a word the two of them had never spoken out loud. “Come home, Alexandra. Come back to Silverport. You belong by my side.” Adult Rowen whispered next to her ear; he brushed his lips along her neck causing a whimper to slip from her lips. “Yes. I need to come home.” Alexandra agreed although she wasn’t quite sure why she needed to come back home to him, she was there with him already. “Rowen Adonis… did you just call me your mate?” Alexandra lifted her eyes to meet his half expecting one of his typical smart-ass remarks. “Lex baby wake up. You’re going to be late.” Alexandra heard another familiar voice. A voice that sounded like it was a million miles away. Carter… wait, Carter! Her boyfriend Carter! Shit.. “Lexie…”
