Infinite Life Span

   Gabriel sits in his store, a regretful look crossing his bright eyes. A storm rages on outside, as he informs his 30-year-old costumer of her 31 year life span. Shock echoes through her eyes, before tears replaces it. Gabriel gives a sorrowful look to the woman across from him, offering her his sadness. She rushes out, to do gods knows what, not giving him a backwards glance. A deep sigh releases from his mouth and a familiar dismay for opening the shop returns to him. Taking another glance at the calendar, revealing that he has one last appointment for the night. Finally.     The ding shows though the shop, causing Gabriel to stand and look at the costumer standing there. A man stands in the doorway, a bright smile slapped onto his face. A tensed smile appears on Gabriel's as he wordlessly gestures to the seat across from him. The man, just as wordless, sits, leaning the table towards Gabriel. Another sigh sounds, before the first words were spoken, "You need to pay before I tell you." The man chuckles, before plainly saying, "Just look. I'll pay you no matter what." Gabriel sigh, again, finally raising his eyes to look at the man across from him, "I can't unti-" There. Above his head in gold. Is an infinity symbol. Gabriel's jaw drops, as he stares. The man chuckles, reaching in his pocket the payment due. Finally, Gabriel stammers out, "W-what? How is that possible!?" The man just chuckles again, placing the money on the table, before standing, "Have you seen your life span?" Gabriel shakes his head, finally tearing his eyes away to meet the man's eyes, "N-no. The magic, or whatever, doesn't work in a mirror." The man shrugs and just easily says, "Well, you're like me. I'm been sent to bring you back home with all of the other immortals." Never. In Gabriel's life. Would he ever think that he'd be on this side of the transaction. It's not any better. "W-what?" The man shrugs, "Yep. Come on, time to go." Gabriel stumbles up, shaking his head, "N-no! I have a f-family here and-" The man snort, shaking his head slowly, "They're not your real family. We are. For hundreds of thousands of years." He paused, fixing his eyes onto Gabriel's, "Come back to your family." Gabriel pauses, before snorting, "Who do you think I am? I'm not that gullible." The man sighs, before saying, "Fine. In 50 years. When you look the same and everyone else around you have died, I'll come back and I then I can take you home." As the 50 years pass, Gabriel never ages. His friends and family slowly get sick and die, but never Gabriel. Gabriel sits in his store, like he has for the past 80 years. The night is clear and the moon is bright, as he informs his 30-year-old costumer of her 80 year life span. Glee and cheerfulness dawns her faces, as she gives him a tip, before leaving the store. Before he could feel, any times of way about what happen, a ding echoes through the store. Not bothering to stand up, Gabriel just sighs, "You need to make an appointment." Then, a familiar voice echoes back, "You were much more polite 50 years ago." Gabriel jumps up and stares at the man who never ages. Then he said, as monotone as he feels, "Let me close up the shop." Gabriel paces around, turns lights off, locking the door, turning the sign, before returning to the man. Finally, Gabriel will leave. "Let's go." Because.                                                                              "It's time to come home."
