Excerpt:

Just when Cole's temper was about to flare dangerously his eyes landed on her beautiful form. She moved beautifully alone, her long raven hair cascading down her back. When she looked up and her hazel eyes locked on him, Cole gulped down his drink.

Amaya huffed in irritation and turned towards the exit.

Cole slinked behind her and grabbed her arm. "Ugh! What do you want?"

Cole pushed the little witch back against the wall. "You've been avoiding me." Amaya's jaw tightened, "No I haven't. It's called a one and done. I've done it plenty don't think you're special." Cole punched the wall by Amaya's head and then slowly leaned into her. "I can tell you're lying. I know the only men that have touched your skin were no more than food to you."

Sliding his fingers on the sliver of her stomach peeking out from her halter top, Cole chuckled as she shivered, "I wrecked your body and put it back together again. Something about you makes me hard as granite darling. I don't want to stop."

Attacking her mouth in vicious kisses, Cole growled, "I want more."

The Beginning
Love is not power.  It is a weakness.  A plague.  Something to be exploited and used against the weaker for leverage.  Some didn't know this.  Some ignored this.   But they paid dearly for this slide in judgment.  In the late 1970s a coven lived peacefully in the woods outside of a town in Idaho. Their power moderate but enough to satisfy their selfish desires.  Their coven leader, Cory Black, was a well-known warlock. Infamous in the paranormal realm for his power and greed for more led with an iron fist. He wanted for nothing because with a snap of his fingers he could have it or more.  Cory was selfish, he was evil, but he was considered to be the highest power in their practice. And then he met a woman, a young witch with the same aspirations. Brienne Kol wanted to be powerful, she wanted to be unstoppable.  And with hopes he'd chose her as his wife, Brienne spread her legs for the warlock. The two f****d and did intense dark magic every day until the summer solstice and then Cory left her. Of course, nothing hurts a woman like a heartbreak.  But a powerful woman?  It was a devastating, crushing experience. To be used, abused, and tossed out like yesterday's scraps sent Brienne into a dark spiral.  The vengeful nature that brewed the moment Brienne heard she'd been replaced by what she considered a lesser witch pushed her over the edge. On the night of their wedding, when they were to consummate their union, Brienne stood in the woods in all black. Her pale skin glowed under the falling sun, her auburn air burning like her rage.  She threw her hand towards the prepped bonfire and watched the fire rise higher in power. Picking up a black mamba, Brienne slit the snake's belly and let the blood run into the fire as the snake hissed in pain, "Hanc accipere sacrificium probationem mei."  *accept this sacrifice, proof of my heart. White candles of all shapes and sizes levitated as Brienne called on the dark spirits. The flame of the fire rose higher and Brienne breathed in the strength of her ancestors. "I have been used, I have been hurt. I wish vengeance on those who have done me wrong." Bowing to the fire Brienne's dark heart poured out into her spell as her book of shadows rose in front of her.  Rising Brienne looked at the spell and picked up two vials of blood. "I do not wish for him back." she confessed. She realized in her blind loyalty to the beautiful snake now in bed with her friend, she had lost herself.  And some of her power in aiding him in his dark wishes.  The book of shadows turned itself as she threw salt around her circle of fire. The candle flames jumped higher as Brienne's power increased in eagerness for the spell in front of her.  A nasty sinister smile spread on the beautiful woman's face. Brienne held up a black skull and threw it in the flames as her power and anger fueled her.  "Contritum promissa," Brienne chanted, *Promises broken "In utero aego assiadeat," *Lie dormant in her womb "Ceesit Unionem in." *The union so favored.  "Omne genus mortis eius." *Will birth the death of all.  "Sit Daemonium ortum!" *Let the demon rise! Lightning struck the fire and Brienne went crashing to the ground. Her face horribly scarred as the curse she yielded took root in Tatia Black.
