Mia Rodriguez sat in Brenda Mitchum's office, regional chairman of the housekeeping agency, mentally calculating the small amount of money in her just acquired American bank account and sweating over her daily expenses. I hope to take this job as some sort of training to sharpen my house keeping abilities", when Brenda just starred at her, she quickly added "I hope to own a private house keeping agency of my own someday". She sincerely hoped that she aced the interview or would have to go back to scrapping pennies and working at rustic diners in order to feed, cloth and send her only sister, Maria to school. Speaking of Maria, she had accompanied Mia to the interview, where was she? Mia heard movements behind her and turned quickly into Maria's arms as she enveloped her in a big hug. "Hola big sis! Maria prodded Mia rolled her eyes, remembering Brenda Mitchum's cold, steely gray eyes, "From my lack of experience I would be surprised if I even broke a finger" Mia said under her breath. I was waiting for you so we could go to the ice cream shop down town and celebrate with some delicious ice cream." "mmm" Mia was already imagining the delicious, creamy goodness of a double layer ice cream in strawberry and vanilla flavours with that cute little cherry on top. Then she realised, screw the interview, life was after all made of small moments like this, when she was not constantly looking over her shoulder.
