The Alpha, The Fairy, and The Vampire

Daphnes POV A knock at the door woke me from my peaceful slumber. I begrudgingly sat up and rubbed the sleep from my eyes as my personal guard, Jefferson, stepped through the door. "Oh good you're decent" He said with a playful smirk. I returned it and rolled my eyes as I swung my legs over the bed to stand. "Morning Jefferson" I said as I let my wing flutter open. "A busy morning" He said opening the curtains in my room allowing streams of sunlight to enter. I couldn't help the smile on my face as they hit the crystals hanging in my room causing rainbows to decorate my walls. "Earth to Daphne!" Jefferson spoke up snapping his fingers in my face. I snapped my head back to him with a soft glare. "What?" I asked walking over to my closet and pulling out a lovely white sundress. "The King and Queen have the meeting tonight with the Vampire King and Prince to discuss a peace treaty and they want you to attend" Jefferson advised. "I suppose it is time I join I'll have to be Queen one day" I said pulling out my under garments for the day. "That you will my Princess" Jefferson said before making his exit. I pulled on my underwear and dress before sitting in front of my mirror to fix my hair. It was long platinum blonde white made my baby blue eyes pop. I placed my tiara on my head and put on my sandals before heading to breakfast. I made it to the dining room to see my parents have a quiet and yet heated discussion between themselves. "Good morning Mother," I said as I skipped over to her giving her a kiss on the cheek. She immediately smiled returning the gesture "Good morning my little love" She replied. "Good morning father" I said giving him a kiss as well. "Good morning princess, did you sleep well?" He asked me as I took my seat to his left. "Yes actually I keep having a dream where I'm running through a forest. It's always so peaceful" I said. "So are you excited for the meeting tonight?" My father asked out of no where. My mother shot my father a glare but quickly fixed herself, whatever they had been arguing about must have had to do with it. "Yes I am father, thank you for including me" I said with a brief bow of my head. I knew why we were having this meeting. Vampires have been kidnapping and murdering our kind for centuries. When they drink enough of our blood it allows them to walk in the daylight without any harm. "I know you understand the importance of this meeting, but I need to know what you would be willing to do to help your people" My father began to say. "Desmond that is enough!" My mother hissed out with tears in her eyes. I was so confused at where her anger was coming from. "I would do anything to save my people" I replied looking between my parents. "Excellent Daphne" He replied with a sad smile. "Excuse me" my mother said standing up quickly and walking out of the dining room. "What's wrong with mother?" I asked my dad. "She's doesn't like this meeting tonight" He replied vaguely. I didn't press the issue but doubt was creeping into my mind about what was going to happen tonight. After I finished my meal I walked with Jefferson out of the palace to walk among my people. Our population wasn't very large due to the vampires. Whenever I would pass people would bow or curtsy then go about their day. "Do you know what's going on with my mother?" I asked Jefferson as we stopped at a stall with fresh fruit. "No I don't unfortunately" He replied. He gave a smile and sharp nod to the vendor before looking over the selection. "These look wonderful you've done a marvelous job" I told the woman and she smiled wide. "Thank you your majesty" She replied. I looked behind her to see a child touching a potted plant with his eyes closed. "Come on you stupid plant! Just grow already!" He said in frustration. "Sweetie you need to calm down and focus" The woman said. "May I?" I asked motioning to the child and plant. "Of course!" She said. I walked over to the child and he looked up at me in awe. "Wow you look just like the Princess" He said in his tiny voice. "Really? What a coincidence" I said with a giggle. "Now close your eyes and touch the soil" I instructed. The little boy followed the directions, "Now take a deep breath in through your nose and out through your mouth." I said. He did before I added "Now imagine the plant growing in your mind. Imagine how full it will look, how vibrant the green leaves will be" I said softly as to not break his concentration. When he opened his eyes his wings fluttered quickly as he lifted off the ground in excitement. "Look mommy I did it!" He said pointing to the now fully grown plant. "Great job sweetie!" The vendor replied before mouthing her thanks to me. I simply nodded my head before walking away. "You'll be an excellent Queen and mother one day" Jefferson said next to me. I had almost forgotten that he was there. "Thank you Jefferson, that truly means a lot" I said. We continued walking about for the rest of the afternoon, playing with some kids and talking with adults. Soon it was time to head back to the castle. We flew back since it was quicker and I went to my room to get ready for the meeting. I took a nice relaxing bath with honey and lavender bath salts. Once I was completely clean one of the servants came in and french braided my hair as I put on a little bit of eye liner and my red lipstick. I slipped on my long silver chiffon gown. Once my formal tiara was on my head Jefferson was knocking on my door. I opened it and he had to do a double take. "Wow Daphne you clean up well" He said with a light chuckle. "Thank you, shall we?" I asked him. He and I walked side by side until we reached the dining room. I stepped up to the door and took a deep breath. Once I was ready I entered the dining to see my parents and our guests already there. "May I present my daughter and our princess Daphne" my father said as I came to my seat. I gave the Vampire King and his son a curtsy before taking my seat. Once I was settled and Looked between the two men before me. Now fairies have always been on the shorter side. The tallest fairy being my father stood at five feet nine inches tall. I, myself stood at five feet even. So these vampires seemed like giants to me. "Daphne this is the Vampire King Michael" My mother said gesturing to the man sitting across from my father. He had long blonde hair and red eyes with a very lean build. He looked me over once before turning back to my father. "And this is the Vampire Prince Gabriel" My mother said motioning to the man next to the king. I couldn't take my eyes off of him, he was beautiful. He had the same long blonde hair as his father but the lightest blue eyes I had ever seen. Just like his father he looked me over as well but he smirked before looking to his father with a nod of his head. "We'll agree to the arranged marriage" The King said and my neutral expression fell. "What marriage?" I asked starting to panic a little. My mother's gaze feel to her lap while my father couldn't meet my eyes. "Father, what marriage?" I asked. "You and I are to be married" Gabriel answered, saying what my father couldn't bring himself to say. Gabriel got up from his seat suddenly and our guards took defensive stances. He slowly made his way to stand next to me and I looked up at him. He gently wiped away a tear that had escaped my eye before taking my hand and raising it to his lips. "What a lovely fiance you make" He said before kissing my knuckles.
