"Tessa!" Sandra called her daughter trying to hide excitement in her voice. "I'm coming, mom!" "Quickly, turn the lights off." Sandra commanded whispering to her husband and son. Three of them took their positions waiting for Tessa. Few moments later when she turned the lights on they jumped in front of her screaming and singing 'Happy birthday song'. Tessa pretended she is surprised because every year for her birthday they do the same, but she loved that tradition. As usually her mother made her a wonderful cake, fruity one, her favorite. Her father Harold wore the festive hat and her brother Jake handed over her the gift. Tessa gave them a hug before she opened small red box and she almost cried seeing what's inside. Gold necklace with pendant in the shape of a heart. On the front side was her name written and when she turned it to see the back it said 'With love, mom, dad and Jake'. "Oh my god, this is so beautiful. Mom, can you please help me to put it on?" "Sure, love." Sandra helped her daughter to put her new favorite piece of jewelry on."Let's go to dining room. I have prepared dinner, I know that you are going out later." Tessa hugged her mum placing a kiss on her cheek."Thank you mom." Sandra prepared her daughter's favorite dishes as she did every year so far and she tried every one of them celebrating her mother's cooking skills. "Mom you keep getting better every year." Tessa said taking another bite of lasagna. "She's just like wine." Harold commented more for himself when they all burst out laughing. When the dinner was over Tessa felt like she would explode. "How am I supposed to fit into anything now." Sandra laughed while washing the dishes. "Lots of women would kill for your body, honey and leave those plates to me. I'll take care of that. Go get ready and take the house keys with, I suppose you are going to be late tonight." Tessa approached to her mother and hugged her tightly. " I love you, mum." "I love you too, honey." She kissed her mother and went to say goodbye to Harold and Jake. When she entered her room she felt some kind of sadness and pressure in her chest. She even considered staying home with her family but her friends arranged everything already. All that Tessa knew is that they will be in some fancy night club, she was okay with that, though it's her birthday after all. She took out the dress she bought for tonight. It was short, tight fitting, long sleeve dress revealing her back but hiding her cleavage. Tessa liked it a lot, she felt sexy in it, that is why she bought it. It was almost eight o'clock in the evening when her friend Jenna came to pick her up. Sandra and Harold were waiting for her at the stairs. Tessa hugged them both again and when she got out from the house she waved back to Jake who was sending her kisses through opened window in the kitchen. The night club they went in had long line of people waiting to get in but somehow Jenna got them immediately in. Tessa knew her best friend have many acquaintances so she wan't surprised. She also managed to reserve them VIP box. "Jenna!" Tessa shouted to her friend's ear when they sat down."Thank you, I really appreciate all of this." Jenna gave her a hug. "You are my best friend, of course I would do this for you, but I want you to do something for me too tonight." Tessa was curious. "Okay, and that is?" "I want you to do something special for yourself too. It is such a shame for you to be alone all the time. At least find yourself one night stand tonight." Tessa looked at her friend shocked and little bit offended with her words but she had right. Her life has became boring, single all the time. It's not that she didn't have chances but she didn't want. After her last relationship that ended three years ago she was hurt and fed up with men. Regardless, she was eager for a man's touch. When the waiter came Tessa tried to order herself water but he didn't hear her so she headed to the bar and that was the moment when she saw him. He was standing next to the bar with the drink in his hand swirling the golden liquor in it causing the ice smash to the walls of the glass when his eyes caught her. She was coming out from the VIP box. He quickly caught sight of her appearance and than his gaze went from her beige sandals, traveling across her seductive legs, to her wide hips, tiny waist and over firm breasts. But he lost his breath when he saw her face. Full lips, small nose, almond shaped eyes and all of that framed with long black hair. She was beyond beautiful, but there was something special about her face. It was angelic and devilish at the same time which turned him instantly on. He always knew what he wants and right now he wanted that woman. Tessa tried her best not to stumble and fall as she took a seat when she came to the bar. Her legs became weak and her heart was racing. The bartender gave her the water she asked for, even though she intended to come back to her friends immediately she stayed there to calm herself a bit first. She knew he was looking at her but she didn't have courage to look back at him so she hurried and drank her water and took another she ordered but when she stood up and tried to move she felt someone's hand on her bare back sending shivers through her entire body. She took a deep breath before looking over her shoulder meeting the most handsome face she has ever seen in her life.
