Breaking The Promises

I’m Veronica Steward, a seventeen-year-old in the senior secondary  with good looks and flirts too, I have a few rules which I chalked out  for myself that is  1. Not to give a damn about boys as all of them will initially give you butterflies then migraines. 2 . looks are deceptive so don’t get lured by good things that are again boys. 3. Getting a chance to play in the school basketball team is your only goal not to get a boyfriend. 4 . You are only supposed to flirt as it releases tension. Today is my school’s inter-school basketball tournament, again a boring day as I will be given only one job that is of taking care of players who get injured in the game. Please don’t ask me why me as I am also tired of asking the same question from my basketball coach, he has been using me for the past two years by luring me that he’ll give me a chance to play in the school team. My friends are excited for the tournament as boys from different schools will be coming and yeah as schools from all over Seattle are participating so our school has organized for their stay too, don’t ask me what else I have been asked to do, okay fine I’m telling you, I am also asked to make sure that whosoever finds difficulty in finding washrooms I am supposed to show them their way and yeah if someone has a problem with rooms, blankets f*****g all the stay stuffs then I have to solve their problem but I’ll do it for getting a chance to play. While changing the dress code we were given in the school I overheard girls talking about Caleb Lockhart, he is renowned for being one of the best players of  ST. Joseph. He was making me curious as to who he is that every girl in our school was talking about him. I checked myself and yeah I  was looking pretty good, doesn’t matter what work I’m given, I have no problem with it as long I get a chance to play in the next tournament, other girls were looking down at me as according to them I was given work of more or less of a nurse but it doesn’t bother me as this shows their cheap mentality. I was wearing a white T-shirt tucked in a short white skirt with shoes and a cap. I tied a high pony so that my long hair don’t bother me. Only one thing I was hoping for was that after this f*****g tournament my coach sees my dedication to play and let me in the team.  The team I was supposed to cater for the first half was Team Alex so I am going to escort them first and hope so they don’t make me toil for petty things but one second why I am given a team of boys to escort when my other friends are given girls team, leave Veronica that coach is just a bastard as he wants to take his revenge for you not obeying him in the last tournament, calm down babes things will be easy then.
