Hey, my name is Thea, and I'm a 3rd year at Yperfysikós Academy. It is home to all the mythic children until they turn of age. The night of my 18th birthday everything began to change in a way I wasn't prepared for.

My parents always spoke to me about the 18th year of a mythics life. As a creature cast away by humans, forcing us into a separate realm thousands of moons in the past, we were forced to live in shadows. So much so that we now refer to our own people as a false truth.

They were scared of our power.

But on the 18th year of our solemn lives, we get to experience the birth of our powers and of our mythical forms. A beautiful ritual that shows us our destiny.

Come find out what happens to me

Chapter 15
Calebs statement caught me off guard. Honestly it was like a punch to the gut. How could I forget the heightened sense of smell. I mentally kicked myself, and then realized I was taking too long to reply. "Hello? Earth to Thea?" He playfully poked me in the forehead with a smile. My cheeks and the tip of my ears felt like they would burst into flames in any second. My embarrassment only deepened Calebs goofy smile. "I could smell it on you at the dinner." The words came out with the intention of reassuring me, but they held something more. "I just wish you would've told me yourself." He shrugged. I turned to look at him, my heart pounding at octaves so high, I'm sure the downstairs neighbor could hear it.  Caleb shook his head, a sly smile creeping onto his face as he walked into my room and plopped onto my mattress. I awkwardly followed behind him, making my way to the closet.  "Yeah, you'll pick up on it soon. Wolves can smell emotions and hormones."  "Hmm, that's pretty neat." I bent at the waist, grabbing a couple of shoes from the floor of the closet. I tried to push away the very very awkward moment we just had as Caleb let a soft growl. I peeked behind myself at him, half laying on my bed with his eye glued to my ass. That electricity awoke in my lower belly, Caleb growling again. "We can smell heat too." He adjusted himself as he grew harder. "Come on, hurry so we can get out of here." His voice had gotten low and husky. It made my head feel like I'd taken a few shots of pure agave tequila (my favorite). I bit my lip as I grabbed fistfuls of random clothes. My mind was too focused on the tingling in my core to know what I was grabbing. I was 90% sure I had grabbed thermal underwear and old swim trunks. "Let's get out of here." I half-whispered, unable to get a grip on my emotions. I slung the duffel bag over my shoulder, my eyes glued to Calebs, entranced by the heat and promise of pleasure. He moved towards me quickly, his fingers wrapping around my waist before pulling me against his solid core. I moaned as his lips met mine. They moved with sweet familiarity.  "Ehem?"  Both our heads whipped towards the sound of someone obviously clearing their throat, Caleb letting out another growl. This one of transparent annoyance. I sighed before looking in the same direction. I bit my lip to keep from growling but it didn't help. The sound left my throat in a menacing manner. He raised a brow, and I knew it would be a matter of seconds before he was reminding me that he was the Alpha. I preemptively rolled my eyes. "What can I help you with, Mateo?" I put a hand on my hip, waiting for the excuse for his intrusion. "First of all, chill with the 'tude. I am your alpha. And second, you need to start calling me Mr. Alpha if you're going to join the back." I rolled my eyes again. "Okay, Mr. Alpha, what do you want."  "Oh, I liked how that sounded. Say it again." He teased me. "Mateo," Caleb growled. Mateo frowned at his Beta, "We've received intel. We need to get back to the base and gather the mythics again." "And you couldn't have called my phone? How did you even know where I was?" Caleb shook his head. "A hunch I guess?" He responded flatly, his eyes slightly sad. "Whatever, we were just heading there." Caleb slid his hand into mine and pushed past Mateo. I hear Mateo hurry to catch up. "So are you two like a thing now?" He asked, forcing himself between us and undoing our hands. I shot a glance at Caleb before focusing my gaze on the floor ahead of me. "Enough, Mateo." "What? First, the dinner and then I find you here. Must be getting serious." He shrugged innocently. "Are you jealous or something?" I blurted the words without thinking. Mateo stopped dead in his tracks, laughing hard and loud. "Good joke, Thea." He patted my back and continued in front of us. Caleb smiled down at me, interlacing our fingers again. He rubbed small circles on the back of my hand as we reached his car, Mateo jumping into his own next to us. "I'll see you at the base. I expect you to report to the conference hall immediately." Caleb nodded as Mateo pulled out and took off, leaving skid marks in his path. "Jesus F-ing Christ, that was awkward as hell." Caleb opened the passenger door, shutting it softly once he made sure I was fully in. I watched him smoothly walk to the driver's side and get comfortable. He turned the car on before following Mateos direction, in a much less dramatic manner. "Uh yeah. Don't know what that was about." I shrugged. He scoffed, "How many times do I have to tell you not to lie to me?"  "What do you mean?" I crossed my arms across my chest. "Remember the smell you forgot to hide?" I groaned and let my head fall back against the headrest. "Yeah, sorry about that. I know you know but still, how is that any explanation for him being a t**t?" Caleb chuckled, "He imprinted on you, I think.." "Imprinted on me? Like... that Twilight bullshit the humans came up with?!" I always thought that was a made-up term that the humans came up with to make that movie a little more exciting. Granted it was f*****g weird to have him imprint on a literal newborn baby, but hey, humans be weird sometimes. "Yepp, haha. Except it happens after sex." "That's just my luck. My first hook up after my first frenzy, and the guy imprints on me." "It may be funny now, Thea but it might pose a problem later." "How is that any of my problem? Isn't he like engaged to Galene anyway?" I couldn't believe Caleb could actually get mad at me for something I have no control over. "I'm not upset Thea. It's just... It's hard to explain." He reached over to hold my hand, his palms slightly clammy. "What about you?" I asked softly. "What about me?" He glanced at me from the corner of his eye before going back to the road. "Have you imprinted before?"
