The Intergalactic Market, Virgo Supercluster Division has just included Earth into the Civilizations Catalogue and with it, made it possible for people on the planet to access both the space and body realocation networks. The condition? People desiring to use the system have to form relationship contracts with some very willing but vastly different alien races.

From the deepest darkness
The Intergalactic Market: Virgo Supercluster Division. As per Earth denominations, Universal year 11835 billion. When the Intergalactic Market discovered Earth for the first time, life in the planet was barely recovering from a cataclismic cosmic impact and deemed too fragile to even explore. Their research teams trained their vision on the planet development for about 60 million years and seeing no significant changes in the evolutionary chain of the species in the planet, its council determined it should be declared a Protected Cosmic Zone, with a special 100 light year boundary where no civilization was allowed to travel, do business or exploration much less settle or exploit. Thus, when the first images and transmissions coming from Earth began, which was then in the middle of World War 2, to be perceived by the neighboring planets outside of the boundary, it came as a shock to the Intergalactic Market and not a good one. You see, the Intergalactic Market ruled over the inmense expanse of what the Earth astronomers called the Virgo Supercluster and in that inmensity lived, prospered, warred and traded about 3 billion civilizations deemed as Sentient and Advanced. The only thing those civilizations had in common was their access to the travel and communication network and their need to trade with each other. That there was suddenly a new civilization so clearly capable of comunication but also so bent into violence posed a serious ethical and strategic question of how to make contact without exposing the entire network to a potential tyranical threat. The council deliberated again, this time at full speed for about 90 years before an agreement was reached on how to best tackle the first contact and adding Earth into the Market network. A very fast timeframe of only 20 universal years was agreed as the best possible window to let Earth know they were not alone in the vastness of space, that from the deepest darkness among the stars, there was change coming.
