Mischievous Games

In the past, there had only been one true rebellion. The rebellion that lord Lucifer led against man, and thus his father God. For how could he have ever loved that flawed creature above God himself? That day his brothers and sisters were cast out of heaven with gods own curse to his children. What curse? To be unable to reach the gates of heaven without fully embracing God's will....to love man above anything else, including God himself.Lucifer could never accept this, thus turning his back on his father and accepting instead his own path instead. The day he turned his back on fulfilling his father's desires, he completely and utterly determined to show his father how wrong he had been. Instead, illuminating mankind to their own darkness...thus, the creatures of the night were born. Humans mated with demons causing for hybrids of sorts to be born, later to be known as warlocks. Others deciding to channel types of magic, to throughout the years be recognized as witches. And lastly we had those that would beg the demons to change them into beings of another nature completely (vampires and demons). -Eons after...after Lucifer's heart break.....and sudden change to gods creation.- Maia felt the weight of the world on her shoulders today. Her alarm lay silent but the flashing numbers indicating her alarm had long ago went off. "s**t!!!" she yelped as she jumped off her bed and slammed into her wall. "Im so late!"She raced into the restroom rapidly turning the knobs for hot and then cold water and hastily grabbing her toothbrush from the sink.I'll have to brush my teeth and shower at the same time to make up time, she thought as she accidentally poked her cheek from the hard brushing.Thankfully, she had been so nervous last night that she couldn't sleep and fixed her clothes for the next morning in anticipation. One didn't walk her sister down the isle at her wedding everyday! She had to look stunning! What would her Lilian think if she arrived late to their makeup and hair appointment!Lilian! Oh god, she was gonna murder her! Maia's heart jumped at the thought of worrying her sister on the day that she should be on her best behavior.The reminder of her sisters anger caused Maia to move with ungodly speed, setting a new record for fastest and yet thorough shower in human history!She ran out the restroom with a towel wrapping itself tightly only to remember her wetness by slipping and falling on the floor. Fate was inclined to make her jump through any and every hoop today!While jumping and mumbling Ouch constantly, she waddled over to the foot of the bed to where her clothes lay.In speedy but dramatic fashion, Maia made sure that her clothes were on correctly before shuffling her feet into some flip flops and running out the door with only her cell and keys in her hand.She looked at the time as she started her car and to her surprise she would be only 5 minutes late!"Thank you mom and dad!" she said with relief as she drove to her sisters apartment. "I knew you'd be here" she smiled.
