Chapter 1 Theodore Heids Grabbing a drink, I down it with a big gulp. Tonight, I'm celebrating my sister's birthday. My sister Althea eyes me, then shakes her head. I give her a grin. Today is her 24th birthday, and she's celebrating it in one of the best clubs in town. She just looks like me. Dark hair, brown eyes, same features but still, I look younger than her. Considering I'm only 26 years old, it won't change the obvious that I'm still looking younger, like a teenager. I give her an 'I'm so hot, take that' position, which is a Nike logo made of finger sign underneath my chin, one eye closed. Althea just rolls her eyes at me then goes back to partying with her smoking hot friends. I make my way to the center, ready to pop and lock when someone grabs my arm. I quickly turn around and in front of me, Shaina is standing shyly. Shaina has this long hair, dyed blonde on top fading to slimy green on down, which really suits her perfectly. I give her a smile and she blushes. I tug her arm and lead her to the center, then I begin to move. She does, too. And all her shyness seems to fade away as she continues to dance. Shaina puts her arms around my neck, and I put mine on her waist. She gives me a shy smile but moves fiercely nonetheless, which I follow. I swear this girl is turning me on. On the corner of my eyes, I see Althea watching us suspiciously. But I ignore her anyway. As I move, matching her moves, I grab her arm and twirl, and then she laughs. Wiping the sweat that is trickling on my forehead, I tell Shaina that we will continue this later and I get back to the stool where I was sitting before. I order a beer and chug it down with one big gulp again. I'm not alcoholic, but times like this, I can't help. "Don't you dare sleep with her, Theo." My sister Althea says sternly at me, giving me a cold stare. "I mean it. You know you're a player and you dawn well know that Shaina has been liking you since forever. Don't take advantage of that, Theo." "Woah, woah, woah. Young lady, hold on," I say, putting my hands in the air in surrender. "Who said I'm going to sleep with her, to take advantage of her? No one. I'm not going to sleep with her, little sister. She's like my sister or something. Don't worry." She rolls her eyes at me but then punches me playfully. Giving her a goofy grin, I greet her a happy birthday, and she says thanks. "But I mean it. Theo." She says, turning serious again. I make a face at her, and she makes face in return. We both laugh and she goes to her friends. I turn to the bartender, and he gives me a sympathetic smile and mouths 'sisters' and I laugh. Deciding to go out, I stand up and head outside to take some fresh air. When I get there, I just stare at the moon beaming brightly at the whole town, stars scattered across the entire galaxy. I walk, not bothering where I go, when all of a sudden, I feel a presence behind me, so I turn around. It's Shaina. Smiling at her, she walks, until she reaches me and looks away. We stroll around the place for what seems like hours, not talking to each other, but the silence is comfortable. She, suddenly, takes my hand and I look at her, confusion drawn all over my face. Then she tiptoes and kisses me on the lips. I don't move though. Instead, I kiss her back. Snaking an arm around her waist, I bite her lower lip, and she moans. Getting hard all of a sudden, I take her other hand and lead it to my crotch. I lead her to the dark forest. I know this place too well. I look at her and she seems nervous. I ask her if she wants help, but she just shakes her head to me. "So I guess I'll see you soon or later?" She asks hopefully. I nod at her. "Sure thing," I reply, flashing her a smile. "We definitely should do it again." f**k, stop it Theodore Heids! Your sister will kill you brutally if she finds about this. She gives me a grin and runs like a limp. I listen intently, hiding in a bush just in case. I hear my sister asks, "Where have you been? I've been looking for you 30 minutes ago." "Just took a walk, is all." Shaina mumbles. "Wanted to smell some fresh air." "Okay. Let's go back inside and go crazy!" "Sure!" Then they both go back to the club. Sighing in relief, I stroll towards the dark forest. I can still see the moon through the big branches, trees after trees, shining brightly than before. I shouldn't have done that. Now she'd be clingy. Plus, she's always at my house. What would I do now? Snapping at my thoughts, someone bumps into me and I fall on the ground, my butt immediately hurts as it makes contact on the ground. I groan painfully and look at the culprit. Then my face softens. A man is going to stand, clearly he fell to, and there are tears running on his cheeks. He's looking at me, mumbling sorry after sorry. From this darkness, I can clearly see the color of his eyes; brown, and it's speaking a thousand of words that I somehow feel. Pain. His dark hair is tousled, messy, that looks great on him, astonishing. It even makes his eyes stand out even more; his eyes are puffy and red, so I guess he has been crying. From this moment, I feel something stir inside me but I brush it away, thinking it's only a sympathy. But it's different. Obviously, I haven't searched yet, so I don't know what this thing stirring inside me means. I just want to reach for the guy and comfort him but that would be creepy as hell. His height is around Althea's height, so I'm taller than him. I stand up and brush the dust away from my clothes and jeans. He mumbles a sorry again and I look at him straight in the eye. Then the tears begin to flow again on his cheeks, mutters a sorry, then runs. I just want to follow him, to comfort him, but then he's out of my sight.
