The beginning
When I say "people don't know me" I mean it. My friends probably think I am just joking, but I've only said it once, so maybe they don't remember. I always keep a notebook on hand just in case I have to write down someones debt. I know it sounds crazy, but I don't let any debts I have go. By debts I mean, any money borrowed, or even rude comments made towards me. But moving on, my name is Lilith, it means "storm goddess" or "night monster" in Hebrew. My parents thought it was a cool name, but didn't have the gut's to keep me. I've been living with a foster family for a few years now. There great and all, but too happy for me. Don't get me wrong I love them, but they would never be my first choice of housemates. Luckily for me, I'm the only kid living in the house. I have a foster brother named, Luke, but he moved out to attend college in some far out land. I miss him, sometimes he was the only person who really understood me. But hes gone so need to b***h and complain. On the topic of school, i'm currently going to Libreville High school. It's a pretty small school, since I live in a small coastal town. It's nice and all, but again not my first choice. I keep my distance from friends since all they do is back stab you in the end. I use to have a close friend named Lola, but like all things she left this old rotting town to start new somewhere else. So i'm just stuck in the middle of no where. Enough about me, let's start the story. I wake up to the sound of my god awful alarm clock, I always say it "sounds like a dying goat" and for the most part I think it's true. Getting out of bed is always the most hardest part of my day, but lucky for me it's a Friday, so after today I don't have to worry about it till Monday. As I touch my small feet on the cold hardwood floor, I hear Chuck scramble up the stairs. Chuck is my family's Golden retriever. And he has a weird fetish of walking me to the kitchen in the mornings, but it's sweet, it makes me feel special in some strange way. Once I rise to my feet I walk downstairs to greet Sierra, my foster mom. Immediately I get a magical smell of bacon and pancakes, one of my favorite foods. I sit down with such speed I almost knock the chair down with me in it. Somehow I managed to stay upright. Sierra set's down a lushes plate of two thick pancakes and three pieces of crispy bacon. I dart for the butter and syrup and begin to pour and spread. The sweet taste of pancakes and the meatiness give me a boost I never thought I could achieve by food. Once I finish I thank Sierra and run upstairs. I notice the time and start to freak, it's 8:20 and school starts at 8:45. I rush to the bathroom in a hurry and put on old sweat pants and some track shirt from middle school. I quickly put my soft strawberry blonde hair into a sloppy bun, brush my newly straightened teeth and bolt for the front door. Sierra is there waiting in the hall as I grab my bag and leave for school.
