Chapter 1
Elle's Point of View "Wow! This story is very catchy!" I almost tear my shirt while reading an action book. The story was so good, and I really love it! The protagonist is doing her sweet revenge, to the people who made her life miserable. I smile like crazy, while looking at my reflection in the mirror. If I have grown up, I will surely be a writer too. "Miss Elle, your Mom is coming!" Nanny called me. My door opens, and Mom enters my room. She hugged me so tight, and I hugged her back, and kissed her on her cheeks. "Baby Elle, do you want to play with other kids?" Mom asked me while fixing my hair. She's really my Mom, and some say I am a young version of her. I smiled at her and shook my head. "I just want to stay here Mom," I replied. "Are you sure?" she asked. "You don't get bored staying in your room?" I immediately shook my head again. "No, Mommy!" I said. "Honestly, I don't want to see other people. I hate people, Mommy!" Mommy seems shocked at what she heard from me. I am just saying the truth, and I can't fake what I feel. I don't even want to go outside, I only want to lock myself in my room. I hate people, because traitors are just everywhere. Just like the books that I finished reading, they were betrayed by their own family, best friends and even their loved ones. "What if we go to the Mall?" Mommy asked again. I hesitate to nod, but I don't want to disappoint my Mom. I agreed with her suggestion. "Yes, sure, Mom!" I smiled. "That would be great!" We roam around the Mall, and visit all the play zones that can be seen at Fairy Mall. I can say that, I enjoy the tour with my Mom, but I am not comfortable in the atmosphere all the time. A boy smiled, and sat beside me. "Hi!" he said. I just turned my gaze away, pretending that I did not hear anything. The boy laughs at me, and I madly face him. "Oops! Sorry!" he raised his hand, making a peace sign. "What is your name?" "I don't talk to strangers." I stood up, and walked away. "Hey, where are you going?" he asked, while chasing me. "Stop chasing me!" I yelled at him, but his mouth curved into a smile. Okay, he is really pissing me off. I'm gonna leave this place, but I will find Mom first. I started to walk again when he grabbed my wrist. "Just tell me your name," he said. I looked at him, and frowned. "Shantelle, 13 years old. Okay, bye!" I said and left him. I find my Mom talking to a lady. She's also beautiful, and her hair is curl but shiny. She has a perfect body, her nose is pointed, and her lips are red. She turns her gaze to me and smiles, but I turn my back from her. I put my headset to my ears and sit at the other bench alone. I observe the whole place. There are many kids playing at the playground, and their parents are cheering for them. On the other side, teenagers are making fun with their friends. Laughing, running, and smiles are on their faces. I found out that I am the only one who was alone. I stared at my Mom, who was busy talking with her friend. Do people really need to be with others? Is it possible to live alone forever? I sighed and opened my phone. I opened my dreame reading account and searched for some books. One book easily got my attention. It was about a zombie apocalypse, where the protagonist is a girl. A gamer, who wishes to make zombies, came to reality. I opened the first chapter, and I can't stop reading the whole book. I love the way the author made this story. A question comes out of my mind. Is a zombie apocalypse possible to happen in reality? How about if, yes. How could people deal with it? It's maybe the time where everyone will be a traitor and killers. I softly laugh. "It is only a story. Zombies are just made by the writer's playful imagination," I whispered. "Baby, let's go!" Mom called me. I immediately stood up and approached them. The girl smiled again at me, and this time I smiled back. She's really pretty, but I felt something strange with her. "She is Mira, my best friend," Mom introduced her friend to me. "Hi," I said. She patted my shoulder and pinch my checks. "Be a good girl!" she whispered, and that made me annoyed. "She's a nice lady, Baby," Mom said while driving. I shook my head mentally. For me, she's not really a nice lady. I could sense that she's hiding something behind her angelic appearance. I smiled. "Thank you, Mom!" "Always welcome my Baby!" she replied and kissed me on my forehead when we got home. I saw Dad, standing against the gate. I run and jump into his back while laughing. "Daddy, run!" Mom laughed at us, while she was helping Nanny in carrying our things. Dad stopped and carried me to our sofa bed. Mom also went to our kitchen, and prepared our dinner with Nanny. "Baby, did you enjoy your tour with Mommy?" he asked. I nod. "Yes, Dad, and I met a boy," I answered. "Really?" he asked. "Who is he?" "I don't know," I said, making him laugh. "You ignore him?" Dad asks while lifting one eyebrow. "I tried to ignore him, but he chased me all the way. So, I gave him my name, but I left him immediately." I rolled my eyes, and pouted. "If you met him again next time, ask his name," Dad said. "Huh? Why Dad?" "Maybe he is your soulmate, " he said and laughed. "Soulmate?" I asked. "Yes, because he is the first boy that you introduced yourself." He smiled and pinched my nose. "Just like what happened to me and your Mom."
