Evermoon 2: Fate's Toy

----New Life---- ***Lanie's POV*** " Ugh, why did they leave me here to take care of all the hired help for the wedding as they did some 'Tour de France' around to all those neighboring packs?" I seethed as my sister, Sophia and her fiancé, Arsen were out trying to make peace with the neighboring packs. A lot had happened since Alpha Philip had fallen to his own son. Arsen had made it his mission to make amends with all of the packs that his father had wronged. My sister, Sophia, followed her mate on the trip for extra protection. We had found out that Sophia's wolf, Aureline, is a very rare and special wolf that manifests itself every thousand years. Aureline has the ability to freeze time and also go back in time up to a year. Sophia keeps all of the memories, but no one else does. I suppose that asshole Kieran got lucky in picking her for his messed up fake prophecy. Sophia seemed rather giddy about visiting the Newmoon pack today and I couldn't help but wonder why. Well, she seemed giddy in between her morning sickness spells. Oh yeah, I'll be an aunt to two adorable pups! Sophia and Arsen didn't waste any time! Clearing my thoughts, I went to go bark orders to the pack members for the ceremony. Arsen's Beta, Will, originally tried to intervene but I suppose a witch with a hot temper and magic crackling at her fingertips was enough to make the Beta bow down. I wasn't going to let anyone ruin my baby sister's big day. I do admit, it took a bit of time to learn to let go of my overprotective sister role and trust Arsen to take care of Sophia. I suppose my overprotectiveness is coming out as "Maid of Honor"-zilla as I made sure everything was perfect. Sophia had been through so much. She had told me that she had seen not only me, but Arsen die in the future. It shattered her and she held onto me crying her eyes out after she had told me. After that, I made it my mission to give her the best wedding ever. "Hey, hey, hey! Where do you think you're putting that white tulle?! DRAPE it from one pole to another! Ugh! That purple tulle is supposed to blow freely from the top of the pole! It isn't a maypole!" I growled as my blue eyes flashed in anger and annoyance. " Y-yes miss! I'm sorry, miss!" The pack members scrambled, practically running each other over to complete their tasks. I pursed my lips as I watched, an unamused look on my face. " I'm either going to have to do this all myself or I'm hiring help and Arsen can pay for it if you all don't get this right!" I snapped. One of the wolves tripped, grabbing the already hanging tulle to try to cushion their fall. A gasp escaped as I quickly summoned vines to catch the wolf and not have them rip the tulle right off. " I'm surrounded by idiots…" I thought after lowering the wolf gently, rolling my sleeves up and doing it myself. After a few hours, it was finally completed. Sophia had wanted an outdoor wedding, using the gazebo that Arsen proposed to her at. Pure white circular poles were put in the ground with white tulle draped across each of them, creating a 'dip' of tulle. Purple tulle draped from the tops of the poles downwards to blow gently in the wind to give the whole aisle ambience. The aisle had a royal purple carpet with pink and blue flowers lining it. The chairs were pure white with purple ribbons as they lined up in rows, facing the gazebo. The whole outer area had honeysuckles growing which filled the whole area with the sweet scent. The gazebo itself was decorated in white tulle to make an arch for them to get married under. It looked perfect. " Miss Lanie! This looks perfect for Luna Sophia and Alpha Arsen!" Beta Will came up with a cup of coffee. The next minutes felt like they were in slow motion. I saw him trip on the carpet and the coffee spray out of the cup like something out of a horror movie. I felt my blood boiling as the coffee splattered all over the rug, some of the tulle, some of the ribbons, and some of the chairs. " Oh… s**t… Lanie! I-" Will tried to frantically apologize but was cut off as I quickly created a prison of vines for him to stay in until they came back. " YOU! YOU'RE IN TIME OUT!" I screamed furiously as I started to clean everything up. I clenched my fists as a few wolves came over to help. I assume Will mind linked them. " If you value your lives, you will let me clean this up in peace and not bother me. Oh, and don't even think of releasing Will. I will have my sister deal with him shortly." My voice was strained, as if I wanted to scream more but I grit my teeth and started to clean up. The wolves shot Will an apologetic look and ran off with their tails between their legs. " Lanie, I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to!" Will begged as he tried to shake his vine prison. " I'll have Sophia deal with you later." I snarled. " No, no! Please no! She's going to freeze me in time and make me do something embarrassing… like wear a dress or makeup or something!" He pleaded. " Oh, thanks for the BRILLIANT idea!" I smirked. "I'll make sure to tell Sophia to do that." Getting up, I took the destroyed items inside as the pleas of Will echoed behind me. All I could do was giggle and think of his punishment later. Getting out some makeup kits and some gaudy dresses, I couldn't wait for Sophia to get home. It would be like when we dressed up dollies when we were young, except now it was a dumb wolf that ruined all my hard work. It was going to be fun.
