Prologue
The blonde woman looks over at the four babies currently on the table. They were all luckily asleep, so this wouldn't hurt them one bit. She looks at the computer screen before looking over at her companion. “How sure are you that this will work?” he asks her.  “We've tried this on all babies and somehow only these four show results,” she tells him. He looks at the four babies. Two girls, two boys. All from different ethnicities.   “Yes but what if this will fails just like the others?”  “It won't,” she tells him. “How are you so sure? Six babies were sacrificed for this. Those babies may not have had a home but these four does. Their parents are in the waiting room waiting for them. If even one of them die, we'll get sued.”   “We won't. I'm one hundred percent sure because of science. Look here.” She picks her tablet up and shows him the files. “These babies were each born few weeks apart from each other. And each time their parents bring them in for their monthly check up, it shows that they're brains metabolism has grown. The two boys, Kyle and Matthew, are already crawling and they're only five months. The two girls, Amelia and Blake are already sitting up on their own and eating with no problem. How do explain that? It's the D-37 we gave them. I know, Chris. Trust me.” She walks to the other side of the counter.  “I just need to give them more of the D-37 to see if it's really working. I'll go grab it. I'll be back.”   The man nods and grabs the tablet from the table. It showed the babies’ scan. Their small brains had definitely evolved. He frowns when he looks at one of the scans. There were glowing blue lines between the tissue of the brain. He looks at the other one, there were purple lines. He swipes to the other one to see yellow lines and then the other one to see red lines. What did that mean? The man looks over at the petite asian woman who's looking through files in the corner.  “Put the scanner above them. I need to check something,” he tells her. She nods and moves to the controller. Chris walks towards the woman and watch as she moves the scanner above the four babies. They were still asleep which was a miracle. He looks at the screen as it scans. He frowns when he sees the lines on all for babies has somehow thicken.  “Do you see that?”   “Yes. What is it?”   “I don't know. But send that to my—” A spark goes off causing the two to jump back. Chris looks at the scanner who gives off another spark. The lights suddenly shuts off with everything else. “What's happening?” Chris runs towards the switch and lifts it up but it doesn't turn back on. He pushes his hands into pockets and takes his phone out. He puts his flashlight on and walks to the babies.   “They're okay,” he mumbles when he sees them all now awake. He smiles looking over at the woman who now has a horrified look.  “Dr Greyson. . .” He turns his head and his eyes widen when his gaze falls one of the babies eyes. “Amelia. . .her eyes are glowing,” the woman whispers. The baby's eyes were now glowing blue. How is it possible? He moves his flashlight to the the baby girl, Blake. She was already looking up at him, with her eyes glowing red. He looks over at the woman with wide eyes.  “Go get Dr Geyer. Now!” She nods and runs off out of the dark room. Chris moves to the two boys. He shines the flashlight onto Matthew. His eyes were now purple. He then shines to Kyle to see his eyes are now yellow. Different colors. A laugh escapes his lips. They just made a huge discovery. He moves over to pick up Amelia but he flinches back groaning at the electric shock he got from her.   “Dammit!” He looks down at his now red hand. Static electricity. He grabs the small towel and wrap it ariynd his hand. He'll have to have it checked out later. The door opens and Dr Geyer runs in with the samples in her hand. “What's wrong?” she asks him when she walks into the dark room. The light outside was now shining in. “It's a success!”   “What? What is a success?” she asks him. He points to the babies. “We have just made the biggest discovery in history.”  “What discovery?”  “We may have found the cure for cancer.”
