‘Before you kill me, could you please tell me why?’ Katherine Swan asks the figure hovering above her with a dagger in their hand. Katherine isn’t scared of her attacker though, they have been through so much together in the last two months that she would do anything and everything she could to make them happy and if dying was the way to do that then she will fulfil their wish. ‘Trust me, I don’t want too. But I have too.’ The voice she hears is the voice of a man, the only man she has ever loved Doctor William Beckett. ‘That’s not the question I asked. I have done everything you have ever asked of me. I have never yelled, scoffed, nor have I been rude to you. I love you.’ Katherine tries to make William see what he is doing. ‘I know and I love you too, that’s why I have to kill you. Loving someone distracts me from my work, and my work is more important.’ He says as he places the dagger above her heart and lifts his arms up. ‘More important than me?’ Katherine asks as tears start to fall from her eyes. Her blue eyes filled with sadness but not fear. ‘I don’t want it to be. But it is. I am so sorry.’ William says as tears escape from his eyes, his deep brown eyes once held so much love for Katherine but now he just sees her as another one of his victims, but he doesn’t look at her with the hatred like he does with the others, he only looks at her with deep sorrow and so much love that it begins to hurt him. ‘It’s okay. I know you have too. I forgive you.’ Katherine takes a large breath as she settles onto the metal table and waits for her fate. William raises his arms again all ready to stab Katherine until he looks down at her stomach and notices a slight bump that hadn’t been there before. ‘Are you- are you pregnant?’ He asks her. His heart leapt into his throat, he was about to kill her. but seeing that bump brought out something in him he never knew existed. What if she is pregnant? Wouldn’t she have told him if she was pregnant? ‘Yes, I went to the doctor yesterday and they confirmed it, I was going to tell you before you strapped me to this table.’ Katherine says as tears return to her eyes. ‘How far along?’ ‘A month and a half.’ Katherine says. ‘We’re going to have a baby?’ ‘We will if you let me live.’ Katherine says to liven up the mood. ‘I can’t, if a baby is going to come into this world, that’s just another obstacle in my way. But I can’t kill an innocent child.’ William is at war with his own emotions. ‘Look, I really want this baby. If you don’t want me and the baby I’ll go live with my last remaining family in Manchester. You will never have to see me or the baby if it’s going to interfere with your work.’ ‘No, I want you and the baby. I can’t live without either of you.’ ‘Says the man who was just about to kill me.’ William unties Katherine from the table and helps her up off. ‘I am so happy.’ William says as he hugs Katherine tightly. ‘Me too.’ Katherine says lightly. ‘But are you sure this is what you want?’ ‘Yes, I couldn’t be happier.’ ‘You know if you want to kill someone, there was a man on the street today who was being rude to me.’ Katherine says taking William’s tie within her hands and wrapping it around her hand several times, she pulls him closer. ‘Oh there was, was there?’ Katherine smiles when she sees the blood lust in his eyes, that look is what made her fall in love with him. He walks out of the house in search of the man who was rude and mean to his love. Katherine loves that William would do anything to protect her and now their unborn child. This is the time that things start to unravel, the police decide that this was the time to burst through the door. "William Beckett and Katherine Swan you are under arrest for the murder of over fifty innocent civilians." Inspector Jack Beckett, William"s older brother who has been waiting for two months to catch them. "Pfft, it"s a lot more than fifty." Katherine says with a smirk. "There you go, she just admitted it." "Jacky boy, do you honestly have nothing better to do than throw your only brother in jail? I"m sure Eleanor is very proud." "Being a smart ass isn"t helping your case." "You know I can"t help it. Oh and guess what you are going to be an uncle." Jack turns to Katherine who is smiling. "You"re pregnant?" Jack asks. "Yes, and if you let us go you will see that little boy or girl grow up in a happy family not one filled with anger." "I can"t." "Sure you can. Just let us kill your friends here and escape to the countryside were Katie and I can live happily." "I"m sorry, Will I can"t." Jack pulls out his gun and points it at William. Katherine gasps at Jack"s brazen act. That"s when she decides to do something so stupid that it made even Jack weep. Katherine elbows the officer who was holding her in the ribcage and takes the gun of one of the other officers standing near her and points it at Jack"s head. Before she could pull the trigger another bullet rang out of a chamber.
