At seventeen, Meredith thought she had her life figured out until she found herself caught up in a wrangle between two brothers. It doesn't help that one is a dragon shifter and the other is a vampire. Suddenly all she thought she knew about herself and the town she grew up, turns foreign. A red dragon mate, an unforgiving vampire hell bent on making everyone's life miserable, a witch on a quest to get power for herself, a warlock with a sweet side, a pack of leopard shifters tormenting the small town and not forgetting the undeniable truth of her being made up magic.

The innocent small town is not so innocent after all. As a matter of fact, it is the realm of both pure and dark magic. One wrong move and Meredith could put the entire town in jeopardy.

“Really? I doubt you’ll make it half as miserable as you make Meredith’s life. You pretend not to care about her and then you don’t want to see her happy with someone else. Just what the f**k is your problem Brian?” Reid spit.

“My problem is you being near her,” Brian spat back.

“And why is that Brian? Why does it bother you that I’m near her?”

“Because she is mine. Meredith is mine,”

PROLOGUESarah lazed in the hot tub, eyes half closed, arms spread on the edge of the tub as she enjoyed the cozy feeling of the warm water lapping against the tenderness of her naturally tanned skin. That was the best way to waste away her Sunday afternoon. That was until she felt the warm water trickling down her head. Her eyes snapped open, angling her head towards the twins, Ryan and James. Their mischievous smirks dropped on seeing Sarah’s furious expression.   “I told you it wasn’t a good idea to wet her hair, “James whispered to his twin brother.   “Do you think we should run?”   “Why are you asking when you should be running?” James whispered back.   The twins stepped out of the water, their swimming trunks dripping with water. They raced inside the house with Sarah hot on their heels, marking the marble floor with water. The moment they got inside the first room in the left wing, they closed the door, shutting Sarah out. Huffing in annoyance she went back downstairs, tapping Brian’s shoulder.   “Wake up douchebag,” Sarah’s voice filtered through Brian’s fuddled brain as he groaned, the slight headache, a clear sign of a fading hangover.   “What happened to your hair?” he asked noticing it was not in its usual sleek, straight form. Instead it was a wisp mess sticking to her face.   “The twins obviously. I mean is it so hard to get them to understand a single thing? There was a reason I had it up in the first place. Someone needs to slap sense into their heads, especially that Ryan. He could be so annoying sometimes,” she complained trying to push the wet strands of hair out of her face.   “Good luck with that,” Brian attempted chuckling, wincing a little.   “Ugh! Why does he have to be so annoying? Well bad news to you, they are in your bedroom with their wet swimming trunks,”   “Yeah. Now that is definitely bad. What time is it anyway?” he asked as he attempted to seat up from where he was lying with his feet dangling over the couch.   “It’s five in the evening,” Sarah replied.   “Why did you let me sleep till five?”   “You seemed pretty out of it. Partying till dawn is not really a good idea you know,” Sarah said handing him a cup of steaming black coffee with just two spoonfuls of sugar.   “Come on Sarah. We should enjoy life any opportunity we get. You never know when disaster is going to strike,” she shrugged lightly.   “I know. To be honesty, I can’t believe that we are finally living our lives without having to worry about your brother, Ace,” Her lips parted slightly while lifting up to form a sweet smile.   “Don’t you think you spoke that too soon Sarah?” Both Brian and Sarah turned to the door where Ace stood with a smirk on his face. His six feet tall frame towered at the door, his hands pushed into depth of his dark jeans pockets.   “Hello brother. Did you miss me while I was gone?” Ace asked, smiling mischievously.
