Our Secret Romance

~Nora Valentine~ Summer break starts around next week, and like always I planned on watching 300gb worth of anime or just sleeping it off. I mean-it's hot and humid outside, why bother going out when you know you'll be drenched in gross sweat. Why not just sleep it off with your air conditioners on? My best friends on the other hand--had their plans made up for a long ass vacation, and I was determined to not go along with their ridiculous plans. "Come on, Nora. You have to! Pretty please!" whined Ruth with her puppy dog eyes on. Ruth's a brunette with big black eyes, and a figure to kill for. We've been best friends ever since I moved in this town last summer. "It wouldn't be as bad as you think, I promise. Look, Val's tagging along too." Valerie grunted in protest, "Only cause someone sugar-coated my parents with bullshit, and took away my passport visa before I could even have a say in it." "Oh, hush-you big baby. I know you're secretly excited." says Ruth in a sing-song like voice. "Otherwise, you wouldn't be here with me--coaxing Nora into our little plan of getaway." "I'm here cause, I want to keep my sanity." Val says and then looks at me with pleading eyes. "You understand don't you? Without you by my side on our month long vacation, I don't think my sanity could survive-" she added and pointed her finger accusingly at Ruth, "her." Ruth gasped at her dramatically while I just sat there watching both of them bicker at very furious pace. I sighed tiredly and without them noticing, I left. ~ It's our last day of school before the summer break, I've successfully avoided Valerie and Ruth for the past week. I know a good friend would support them, but hell--I don't like travelling much. Skipping through the corridors, I was about to make a dash for home when suddenly I was pounced on by two crazy weirdos to the floor. We all groaned in pain, as we hit the hard floor and rolled over on our backs laughing. Passer by students looked at us in amusement, or gave us the 'are you crazy' look as they made their way outside. "Seriously, stop avoiding us." Ruth huffed out. "Yeah, remember our pact?" Val asks knowingly, "We made a pact, that if one of us sails in a sinking ship--we'll all be there, and protect each other no matter what." "You guys are evil," I groaned out. "That's an emotional blackmail, you little devil reincarnations." "Well? Did it work, anyway?" asks Ruth slyly. I chuckled softly at her antics. "It would--if you just pay for my expenses, I'll be there." "Is that a deal?" Val confirmed. "Yeah, why not." "Cool, cause I already bought the tickets for tomorrow's morning flight," giggled Ruth. A sly smirk played around the corner of her lips. "Los Angeles, here we come." The f**k? I don't get a single day all to myself for my anime marathon?
