Erudite High

I wake to "Popular" By Ariana Grande.  What a coincidence.  I quickly run to the bathroom and brush my hair and teeth; I don't have time for a shower and  besides: 1. I took one last night, and 2. I hate showers.  Except after a game. Man do I smell! I run to my closet and try to find something to wear. Think, think. Oh ya! I have a basketball game. I grab my jersey and some jean shorts. I put it on and put on a little eye liner and lip gloss (I really hate makeup but a little doesn't hurt). I run downstairs and grab a muffin. I quickly run to my car avoiding my brother who is getting into his car. Oh it's on! I race out of the driveway and down the street before he can even start his car. I arrive at  Erudite High a few minutes early.  Caleb drives in not long after. I stick my tongue out at him and run into school. I run to my locker and get my stuff. When I'm done I turn around but run into someone. Oh great, Four. "Watch it Granny" he says. He calls me Granny because he thinks Beatrice is an old lady name, even though everyone  calls me Tris. "Number boy." I growl. "See you at the game tonight" He says still glaring at me. Tonight the basketball game is girls against boys to start out the season. Every year the boys win because they persuade their girlfriends to go easy on them. And because the girls get scared that the boys will hurt them. Well not this year. We're gonna win. No one is dating anyone on the team, plus the girls this year are pretty tough. The years before, weak girls would just join to look tough for their boyfriends, but now that it's  senior year, most of those girls quit. Phew! "Ya, see ya." I respond and quickly walk away. I see my friends Lynn and Shauna, so I walk up to them. "Hey!" I say. "Wassup?" Lynn asks. "Just bumped into Toddler over there." I say pointing to Four. I call him toddler because obviously Four is the age of a baby. "It makes me want to win twice as much!" I say. "Ya! That's the spirit!" Shauna yells. "I can't wait to beat their sorry asses" Lynn says. We all laugh. The bell rings indicating we need to head to 1st period. "See ya!" I say and start walking towards Science. The rest of the day is slow and boring. Until Lunch.
