Alpha and the Half-Breed Luna

The rain was coming down with such force it made me jump. I thought to myself, my parents died on a night like this. It made my heart break all over again. I had been so lost since that night. She stares off as she goes back to that bloody night. The rain was coming down so hard but I loved to run in it. The way the ground squished under my feet made me feel wild and free. The smell of the wet forest called to me. I could feel the change coming. I welcomed it. As I relaxed and closed my eyes my body changed. My fingers grew longer and my skin was replaced with white fur. My mom said it reminded her of snow because it was so white. She would say I was the rarest wolf of the whole pack. That was before we left. When she ran with me. I smiled and let my human side go. Once the change was over I heard a scream in the distance. I know that voice. Its mom! I ran as fast as my legs could carry me. My heart was racing scared of what I would find. As I got closer the smell of blood was strong and heavy in the air. I burst through the trees to see blood on the ground outside the house. ''Mom? Where are you?'' I was so scared. I couldn't hear anything. The quiet made my ears ring. A sound of whimpering broke through the silence. I ran into the house to see my mom laying on the floor in a pool of blood. ''Mom!'' I say as I run to her side. ''What happened? Who did this?'' My mom looked at me with tears in her eyes. ''Run Cassie. You need to run before he gets back.'' She coughed up blood and took a deep breath. ''The hunters are here. They know you're here but they don't know where.'' I automatically went on the defence, listening to everything. I could hear her heart slowing. Tears rolled down my cheeks because I knew what was about to come. Suddenly I heard someone coming. I turned ready to defend my mother. Just before I was about to lunge my dad ran through the door. I felt so relieved. The look on his face made me back away. He didn't look upset or sad. He looked happy. ''I found you.'' he said. ''I figured you went for run. That's when I attacked her'' as he looked at my mom my eyes widened in shock. ''You're the hunter?'' He nodded in response. ''I never knew what your mom was untill you was born. The birthmark on your shoulder told me everything I needed to know.'' He looked so disgusted. ''I heard stories of the monsters in the woods my family helped kill. She must have escaped before they could kill her.'' His face got red as he talked. ''I can't believe I was so stupid but I'll finish what my family started. Now to deal with you.'' As walked towards me he smiled. I bared my teeth at my dad as he walked towards me. He just laughed. ''I knew you'd hear your mother and come home. I was counting on it. Now I can wipe out your blood line and complete my family's legacy.'' He lunged at me but I was faster. He fell and hit his head on the floor knocking him out. I walked towards him to see if he was still alive. I was almost close enough to touch him with muzzle when he grab me. I yelped and tried to break free. ''Now I have you you little bitch.'' He reached behind him and pulled out a silver knife. As he raised the knife my mom used her last bit of strength to bite him. He stabbed her again and she fell to floor. I heard her heart stop. I cried out knowing I just watched her die and could nothing about it. My father took advantage of the distraction and plunged the knife into my shoulder. I screamed in pain and shifted back to my human form. Once the transformation was done my father kicked me in the ribs. ''Dumb b***h. You had a better chance to stop me as a wolf. Now you made my job a lot easier.'' He picked my limp body up and threw me across the room. I hit my head hard on the table. I reached up to touch my head and found blood. As my vision started to blur as he approached. I was starting to black out and then I heard a low growl. I knew it wasn't my mom but at this point I welcomed death As I came back to the present I shivered. That's all I could remember of the last 3 years. My next memory was waking up in an empty house that I didn't know. I ate the food on the counter and took off. I'd been running ever since until now. At a club I'd heard a group talking about monsters in the woods. I wondered if there was more of my kind near by. I was scared to stay in one place too long but I had to know. Were they family? Were they enemies? I needed to know. Being alone was taking its tole on me. Later that night I went to the woods to investigate. I stopped just at the edge but I didn't hear anything out of place. I walked deeper into the forest and let myself change. It felt so good when I changed. I felt so much joy and freedom after. I walked into a clearing in the middle of forest and stopped. I smelled something. Was that blood? I tracked the smell to a dead deer. Something had ripped its throat open. Now I was on to something. A stick broke somewhere next to me and I went on the defence. Something big was coming. Just then a big gray wolf came into the clearing. Something about its eyes told me it wasn't a normal wolf. It walked towards me and growled. The growl made my hair stand up but I knew that sound I just couldn't remember from where. Then it hit me. It was the growl I heard when my parents died.
