Elizabeth found out that Jeorne wasn’t the real evil, who seeks to wipe out the bloodline of Mortals and everyone who has it. He was just a vessel for Athalia’s desire to fulfill her evil plan right after she used Queen Rhaella’s body to give birth for her son, the Great Spear that the Seers had prophesied would kill the Savior of the mortal race.

Elizabeth is left with two choices, it’s either to save the man she loves or kill him for the sake of everyone’s safety.

Which will it be?

Chapter 1
20 years ago.... King Rhaul of Galapornea was seated alone on the Infernal Throne. The roaring screams of the dragons filled his ears and the screams of his people underneath the castle. He never thought that his friend could do this. It was just a matter of time when the two enormous doors burst open, and Jeorne entered with his mighty sword called Light. His grey eyes were hooded as it stared right into his emerald pair of eyes. “I knew you were up to something, but I never thought that you would desperately use dark magic to defeat me. You know what it does and you know how it can destroy not just you but the people around you.” He began, “I asked you before, I have told you that we can always take it out like men. None of our people had to suffer from this folly, just you and I.” “It is too late for that, Rhaul. And, It’s too late for me to back out after all the things I have sacrificed to get me where I am today.” Jeorne says. Rhaul shifted his gaze from Jeorne’s eyes to his other hand that was holding a long spear. His eyes widened in horror when the spear turned out to be the Infernal Scepter.  “You fool! Where did you find it?” “Never estimate a desperate man, for he can always find a way to do it,” Jeorne said.  “You must have been more desperate than I thought you were. You’re a fool for summoning Athalia. Summoning her is bringing the Fallens back.” Rhaul said, “You might be able to rule this land but it will not take long until The Fallen King will take your soul and rule the seven kingdoms.” Jeorne clenches his jaw. He was breathing really hard, eyes narrowed at him. “You think I don’t know that?” “You think I don’t have a backup plan if they ever return again? I found the girl in the prophecy.” He says. A smirk was crossing his lips. “And, she’s one of your daughters.” “The girl who has fire in her veins will defend the people against the Fallens and the Great Spear who will bring chaos upon this dimension.” “How dare you put that kind of responsibility for my children!” He yelled and it echoed the Throne Room. “You gave me no choice, Rhaul! You betrayed me and humiliated me. Now I’m going to show you and the seven Kingdoms what power really means.” Then he raised the Infernal Scepter. The ruby that was studded flared up that made Rhaul close his eyes. Then he tried to move, but his strength was up to no good against the power of Infernal Scepter. No one could resist its power to compel. It’s like trying to break free from the grasp of iron. “You’re a coward and a weak,” Rhaul said under his heavy and weak breath. Jeorne grabbed him by the collar and pushed him on the ground. The sword that was in his hand sunken deeper against the ground. He was on his knees, his eyes on Jeorne’s. “Any last words, King Rhaul?” “In my end is the beginning.”  Jeorne wields his sword and thrust it on his back through his heart. Watching his friend drown with his own blood. He suddenly felt a pang in his heart and reminded himself that it had to be done. He pulled out his sword and turned his back on Rhaul’s lifeless body. He turned around before he walked past the door. With one last glance, a tear left his eyes. * * * This is the first cabinet meeting Elaena has without Jehaerys and her Right Hand by her side. Only her sister and the councils who are pressuring her to sign the death sentence of Jeorne.  “Your Grace, that usurper must die. We can have our justice if you want to. Jehaerys is gone, Seven knows where he went. I’ve always thought that he was different from his father. After all, the seed always takes after its tree.” Lord Knightfell began, “You swore the day you took your father’s throne that we shall never bow to anyone ever again and you promised justice.” He reminded her. Elaena understands his anger, for he has every reason to be furious. He did not just lose a father but a brother too in this war against Vendetta. “I did, my lord. And, I promise you that Jeorne Cartopia will die as soon as we defeated the real enemy.” “You can’t possibly believe what that mad man has told you. He is the real enemy. The Fallens are gone for a thousand of years, for the love of seven!” Daniel was staring at her. He knows the truth about the existence of the Fallens for he has fought them outside the academy before. He knows the threat it brings to people and what it can do. “There’s something you don’t know about what happened in Kentoshi.” Elaena began. She’s thinking about how she would start without going pale just by the thought of the charcoal eyes of the fallens.  “Fallens have returned and we have fought them. And, I’m telling you Lord Knightfell, they are vicious and worse than greater demons. They kill without remorse.” Lord Daniel’s voice shivers. He swallowed the bile in his throat while his left hand trembled.  Lord Larva slammed his hand against the wooden table and glared at him. “Don’t be ridiculous.” He snapped and turned towards Lord Knightfell. “This is the reason why I do not approve of giving a child a seat in the council. They do not know what they are saying.” “It is true,” The Queen said, “I myself was bitten by one. The Archmaster almost had me killed because I had the Fallen’s mark and I would be doomed inside the academy. Good thing Sister Lysa was able to get rid of the Fallen’s venom on my system before the full moon showed up.” “Then, why has no one told us about this?” Lord Knightfell said. He leaned against the table. “The masters didn’t want the seven kingdoms to get panicked, because for the 20 years of its return no one knows why it only stayed in Kentoshi.” She explained. Her voice was quite exhausted. She gets easily exhausted, perhaps it’s because of her pregnancy. “During my days living with the free folks, I heard one of those savages talking about the Fallens. They said that they are biding their time until their King will rise again.” Rhaena said, turning her eyes on Lord Knightfell with a sarcastic glance. “You can ask your brother Trystane. I still remember the night he ran off while a Fallen was on its way to chase him until Lady Zelda beheaded it with the courage of a man.” Tony knows his brother and he has great prowess. He takes her statement as a way to insult his House. Little did he know that even the bravest warrior would have done the same as Trystane did. Watching his own friend slain by a Fallen, and rose from his own grave as one.
