Faded Hope

     Meet Alexxia Axel, A robustly endowed 5'4" spitfire of a woman, with auburn hair and slate grey bedroom eyes with blue or green flecks, depending on her mood. Lexxi's story revolves mainly around a quiet rural area of town in Northern Pennsylvania. Where she grew up the house was the only one on the block. All the other homes are across town, they take about 5 to 10 minutes to walk to beings as her house was so set out of the way.     Danielle Night came up the driveway in her beat-up black and ocean blue truck slamming on the brakes, just before she hit Lexxi's car. Jumping out and bounding to the door in excitement she slams it open and yells "I'm here!" Then proceeds to run into the kitchen, "Come on, Let's go we're gonna be late."     "Where are we gonna be late to?" Lexxi asks, scrunching her nose up. Looking down at her dark blue nighty. "as far as I knew we didn't have plans for anything until later."      "It's a surprise for your birthday, and besides I have done this to you since we were 16 and old enough to drive. How is it that you don't expect it yet?" Dani asked in complete shock.      Laughing Lexxi ran up the stairs to her bedroom, to figure out what to wear. Going into the bathroom she showers and gets dressed in her black tank top and Blue jeans with a light blue mini jacket. Throwing on her Favorite pair of sneakers, yells, "Let's go!" and runs out to jump in Dani's truck.      Dani climbed in and they headed to the mall.  **************     "What do you think about this one?" Dani requested as she pulled a thigh level length Black lace sundress off the rack.      "Not really for a bonfire is it?" questioned Lexxi.     Dani says, "True, but I could always use it for the pool hall."     "That's true, but I thought we were supposed to be shopping for tonight, not Friday." Lexxi stated.      Dani countered, "We can do both, or we could just wear what we have at home for the bonfire tonight, and get ready for Friday. Then we can be comfortable and beautiful at the same time."     Lexxi replied, "OOOHHH I love that idea. I don't think getting dolled up for a fire and camping is a very good idea anyway. Heels in the dirt don't thrill me too much either." As she plucked, off the rack, a gorgeous dark ocean blue halter dress that stops just below her knees in her size to try on.      After trying on their dresses and paying for their purchases they headed to lunch. Just as the girls pulled into the restaurant parking lot, they saw Dani's brother Daemien coming out. Lexxi Hissed, "When did he get back home?" as she tried to hide in the truck, Daemien had used to be friends, turned boyfriend with her, but now it felt like he was going to endanger her, again. She wondered, would he always be the one person she was afraid of?     As Lexxi was trying not to be seen, Daemien yelled to his sister, "What are you doing here? Thought you were spending the day with Alexxia?"     Jumping out of the truck, knowing how he made her best friend feel, ignoring her question. Dani deadpanned back. "I don't owe you an explanation it's not your business what I am doing, or who I'm doing it with, Daemien, your not dad. . And anyway I thought you were helping Darius today." Now, just to let everyone know Danielle, Daemien, and Darius are triplets.      "I'm on my way there now, I had to do more than just help him, not that you would understand having a lot to do in one day." And with that statement, Daemien jumped into his car and headed out of the parking area.      "He's gone, come on I'm hungry," Dani lamented. as Lexxi climbed out of the truck hooking arms with her and walking into the restaurant. *******************************************  Daemien's POV     I stated, "On my way there now, I have to do more than just help him today though, not that you would understand any of that." He was so irritated that Dani blew him off instead of coming with, like he had asked this morning.      I turned and stalked to my car, folding myself into it, and headed out of the car park to go help our other sibling. I felt angry because neither of them has spent time with me since coming home, last Friday. Instead, spending all of their time with friends. Who used to be my friends too, But I did some stupid and dangerous stuff, so most of the town won't talk to me anymore. I didn't mind losing most, except I thought some might understand. Hell, I don't know who I can trust anymore. All I could think was wow, how things change.      The fact that they had abandoned me didn't hurt too bad, except when SHE crossed my mind. I had loved her so much, Still did if I was honest. I couldn't blame her if she wouldn't even look at me now. If I saw her on the street she might turn and go the other way. I knew it was my own fault. I had hurt her, I just wanted a chance to show her how sorry I am. I have a lot of work to do on my temper though before I can trust myself to control it. Hell, I had a hard time controlling it toward myself, let alone around anyone else.     Shaking my head to clear my thoughts as I pulled into the driveway of my family's two-story farmhouse, I climb from the car to see Darius sitting on the porch waiting for me, with Jeremy, a friend we knew from before the accident, as well as HER brother. I was immediately filled with angst to think how bad this could turn out. In spite of that, I was shocked, as both the boys jumped off the porch to run up to greet me with their familiar greetings. It's nice to know not everyone, besides family had turned against me.     "Hey bro, how you feeling today?" Darius asked.     "Surviving Dare, Not to sure how I feel though. It's weird, getting the looks I do around town." I replied dryly.      "It'll get better, just let folks figure out how to cope with what happened. They haven't had to look at the situation since you left, and now they have no choice but to remember it." Jeremy stated.      "I'm surprised you even talk to me, I figured you'd hate me like your sister does." I ground out.     "What happened between you and her, well that's your business. What I will say is accidents happen we all know that. I also know you would change the outcome if you could. And I don't think she hates you she was just as hurt emotionally, as she was physically, she needs time to trust you again, hopefully someday it will happen." Jeremy said with an uncomfortable smile.  With that said, Jeremy headed home.     Darius and I went to the barn to fix the bikes up in silence. They weren't in bad shape so I figured it was just an excuse to spend time together. 6:00 rolled around just as we were finishing our project. Darius told me, "Go get cleaned up and dressed we're going somewhere at eight, Be ready."     "What?" I shot back inquisitively.     "Just be ready by eight o'clock, I got somewhere for us to go." Darius replied.
