Theirs to protect

18 years ago..  Lucifer POV.  "My love it is time" I said holding onto my wife and daughter. I know this is hard on her. s**t it's hard on me to. But we have to do what is best for our daughter even though it's the hardest decision we could possibly make.  "Are you sure my beloved. Are you sure we are making the right choice." I can see it in her eyes that she is pleading with me to change my mind. To let her stay here with us. So we can Protect and love her with her by our side.  "I am sure. This is what is best for her. We will keep her safe at all times from afar. But no one must know of her or she will be in even more danger." I tell her kissing her temple. Looking out the window I can see they are almost at the gate. So I called in my best friend James who happens to be in charge of my army.  "Is everything ready?" I asked.  "Yes Lucy. Willow should be here any minute with Jason." Right when he said that his wife walked through the door with a pained look on her face. But what unsettled me was the unexpected visitor right behind her.  "What is the meaning of this." I turned to willow "I'm sorry my lord. She threatened Jason I had no choice." She said with her head hung low. I understand her situation. For I would do it myself if I was in her position.  "Well well well. Look what we have here so this is the famous secret everyone is trying to get a hold of." The new comer said looking at my daughter. If word got out that it's my daughter who knows what would happen. With a lift of my hand I called upon the hells fire and shot it in his direction. Hearing the screams that coming out of his mouth brings excitement to my beast. Yes burn bastard burn.  "We got to do it now." I snapped. Placing both children in the same basket I opened the portal and called my trusted advisor.  "You called my lord."  "Wrath I need to to go with the children. You are responsible for them until further notice. Do I make myself clear."  "Yes my lord." It bowed its head and went to stand by the children. As a group we discussed who would be a right fit out of the seven sins to watch over the children. We've decided that wrath would be best fit in the human world.  Wrath often reveals itself in the wish to seek vengeance. In its purest form. It's not only dealing with humans but all the supernaturals that live there. So why not have the one with the anger and vengeance to protect them.  When there was a bang at the gates that was our que to get the Kids going.  "I love you my dearest daughter. Until we meet again." I whisper to her kissing her forehead.  After everyone had said good by to them. They were gone through the portal.  "Are you sure we made the right decision." My wife asked.  "You heard the prophecy just as I. She needs this journey to find her balance. But don’t worry my love We will watch over her."
