In the town of Pisces, it's a tradition where every year, one brave young man or woman will be sent into a Journey that seems endless. Nobody knows what lies within the Journey as it's not part of the town or the city. Pisces is the only existing town in the world, or so everybody thinks. But Dylan Maxon Allen is determined to know what the end of the Journey looks like. After all, he's been following his grandfather and father's footsteps who had been sent into the Journey. They had promised they would come back, but every people in the town of Pisces knows that whoever has been sent into the journey, never comes back.

But Dylan has a goal in mind. He would sign up to be sent into the Journey despite his mother's pleads and cries. He promised to himself that he would come back to the town of Pisces and tell them what he saw at the end. But he knows it'll be tough.

Another thing, Pisces are known to be a good water manipulator, but why does Dylan possesses a different power? Sure he can manipulate water and turn them into ice, but he has a greater power; much stronger than manipulating the water. He doesn't know where he got it, or why he got a different power. But like his father used to say to him when he was little: all odd questions, the answers are at the end of the Journey.

Chapter 1
Chapter 1 My name is Dylan Maxon Allen, a 17 year old guy who lives in the city of Pisces, where the great water manipulators are located. Probably, we are the only ones living in this planet as our ancestors, according to the Book of Pisces Volume I, wrote that we may be the planet's strongest species. But somehow, I get this feeling that it's not the truth. As I stare into the distance, where the endless road is located, I get this excitement as my brain tells me that there's more at the end of the road; that at the end of the road, a new world awaits for us. We have been living into this place ages ago, but I'm determined to know what looks like there. Every year, one young man or woman will be sent into the Journey. This person will take the endless road and from there, he or she will follow the path until the person reaches the end. It's a tradition our ancestors told us to do every year. And so far, as I check my watch, that is made of high technology, a hologram appears in front of me, there's millions of participant that had taken the Journey. And I will be one of them I stop the scanning, and an image of my father displays by the hologram. He looks exactly just like me; brown eyes, sligthly think brows, chiseled jawline, a little bit tanned and a jet black hair, mine is slightly curly. According to my Mom, my Dad and Grandfather were two of the best warriors that Pisces have ever had. And I want to be like them. Someone calls me from the bottom of the rooftop I am on. I take a look from above and find that's it Penelope Fisher, my childhood best friend. It looks like she just got out of the Academy, since she's wearing a blue uniform and a blue skirt. Penelope is really beautiful. Anyone can tell that. She has this long black hair and her legs are to die for. She's so sexy in many ways. We get a lot of tease from our friends, saying that we're together when we're not. In fact, we consider it as 'i****t' since we're basically brother and sister. "Get down here, Dylan!" Penelope shouts and I can tell from her voice that she's already stressed out. Must be Daniel Coal, I think. Nodding at her, I grip the rope hard and jump onto the window without thinking. People know me as the Great Climber because I can basically climb everywhere. But nobody knows that it's one of my best warrior traits. Yes, I can manipulate water and turn them into an ice, but that's weak. The last thing I want to happen is for them to see that I possess a different power. Plus, the different power that I have, is much stronger and powerful than water manipulation. So I just use combat skills and a little bit of water manipulation so they would think I'm normal like them. When I reach the bottom, I stretch my body and massage my neck. "What's up?" I ask her as I head over in front of her. She flips her long black hair at me and huffs. "You're absent," she says dramatically, pouting. "Now, Daniel Coal was all over me. Again. It's like, he's like, ugh. He's basically sexually harassing me." I knew it. I laugh hard at her, and she hits me, raising her hand and making the water around us float. I raise a brow at her, telling her to go on. She smirks. She waves her hand in a girly manner, making the water splits into twos and then she closes her hand, turning the water into an ice. I brace myself, bending my knees a little, and that's when Penelope Fisher clasps her hands and the ice becomes pointy, like daggers, and then she raises her hand and directs it at me. The pointy ices are pointing at me. I begin to sprint. I jump when a deadly ice nearly hit me on my foot and then I make a cross motion on my hand and the water raises, then becomes an ice. A shield. Then I use my foot to kick the large shield I have formed and the large shield comes barreling to her. I sprint behind the ice shield and manipulate the water and turn them into a dagger and when Penelope breaks the ice, I come prepared and point the dagger near her neck. Her eyes widen and the water that is floating around us falls back. I give her a smirk. She pouts at me and I let go of the dagger made of ice and turn them back into water and let it fall back. "You're really good," she says, twirling a strand of hair. She doesn't look at me because she doesn't want to see the smug look on my face. It irritates her when I'm being cocky and asshole. "And I hate you for it. I wish you could have been so weak that you hadn't had a balls to sign up for the Journey." Oh. That's what it's all about. "Penelope," I whine, hugging her. "You know me. You know what's bugging me. The Journey, I want to follow my grandpa and father's footsteps. I want to know and see for myself what's the end of the Journey. Why my father and grandfather didn't come back to us at all." Smiling, she tucks a strand of her underneath her hair and purses her lips. "I guess I'm just scared to lose my best friend. Every people in town knows that whoever has been sent into the journey, never comes back. And if - " "When," I correct her. Gripping her shoulders and giving it a squeeze, I give her a faint smile. "Look, I know it's hard. And I know that. But I promise you, I'll come back, and I'll tell you what lies at the end of the Journey. You'll be the first one I'll tell you when I get home. Just promise me one thing, Penelope. Promise me that you'll take care of my mother for me?" She nods and gives me a hug. "I will, I promise." "Thank you," I whisper to her, hugging her back. "And promise me, you'll go out with Daniel Coal." She pushes me away and punches my shoulder. I laugh lightly at her and shake my head. Daniel Coal is basically obsessed with Penelope Fisher ever since we were kids. Daniel has this bad boy look; slicked back hair with light blue eyes. His height is around 6'1" but I'm an inch taller. Daniel Coal is the always the one who always wears a black leather jacket, always showing off for Penelope. I mean, I don't get why Penelope Fisher would reject a Daniel Coal. Any girl is definitely into Daniel. I hate to admit it, but I'm only second when it comes to sexiness. But the point is, I'm not competing. I'm contented on what I have. "Let's go back to the town," I say to her, slinging my arm over her shoulders and together, we head back to the town just a mile away from the rooftops. When we reach the town, people are milling around. Pisces people are also known - not just a great water manipulator - as generous and emotional people. We feel a lot of things, like the water. Just by a single blow of wind to the huge blow of a hurricane. We're kind, compassionate, intuitive, sensitive, and selfless. But those traits, sometimes it doesn't apply to me. Sometimes, I have a different traits rather than the Pisces traits. When I was a kid, I thought if I was adopted or not, but then since I was a smart kid, I couldn't be adopted. We were the only ones living in the planet for God's sake. I'm just different. A different power that I possess is something related to mind manipulation. Sometimes, I can send signals to people's mind without them noticing or having a clue that it's me. I can make them do what I want them to do. I asked the Academy's professors about a mind manipulation or something, but they said that we don't have that kind of power. Penelope and I see a commotion going around the Plaza and we get there, trying to look what's the commotion about. We try to squeeze our body into a group of people and when we reach the front, we see Megan Sharkfin, the leader of the Pisces. "Three days from now, citizens of Pisces," Megan begins, her bleach hair is tied, and she's wearing a blue shirt with a Pisces logo on it; a two fish swimming around. She matches it with a light blue skirt and a light blue heels. "A fine one young man or woman will be sent into the Journey, and so far, we have a lot of participants. Not much, but still a lot. Most of them are guys, as always. And in three days, we will know who will be sent into the Journey." I can feel my blood rushing with anticipation as Megan discusses the Journey and who will be sent. I will be the Chosen One. I will be sent into the Journey and I'll make sure that I will know what lies at the end of the Journey. If I want answers to the odd questions I have, I must go there and search for myself. I must travel.
