Werewolf Apocalypse

I still laugh at the thought! People believe that werewolves are just another faze of fairy tales that is traced back to thousands of years ago in probably Greece or Rome as does almost everything today, but no, we study with them, eat with them, play with them, run with them; we do almost everything with them, all except sharing a home. We are protective over our territory that we can't share it with normal people, who above all believed we don't exist. We spend our childhood and almost all our teenage years anticipating what will happen to us once we turn eighteen. A rumour has been circulating for years now, that when we turn eighteen we're taken to a place they name as Garza. That is because everyone here is younger than eighteen except the staff and Alpha Damien and Luna Amelia. We never celebrated anyone's eighteenth birthday. Everyone disappeared the night before they turned eighteen. Alpha and Luna did everything in their power to ensure that we finish highschool before turning eighteen but my case was a special one. My eighteenth birthday is tomorrow, I just don't want to disappear as does everyone I still got two more days till I finish my highschool and I want to hold the diploma I've been sweating all these years for. I decided to stay awake for the whole night and fight the kidnapper at any cost, my best friend being the next alpha, is way better than me in fighting so he volunteered staying by my side for the night. It's been really cool so far but until I see the morning sunlight I won't close my eyes even for  two second. Lucas and I have been best friends since the moon goddess knows when, and once I turned twelve we started practicing for this day, to protect myself from being kidnapped the night before I turn eighteen. The day being today, has the anticipation killing me to the extent that I don't even know the name of the movie we've been watching for an hour now nor the main actor, believe me I know every main actor of every movie to the extent that I predict who will be the main actor of the next movie. All I can do is sit as near as possible to lucas and stare at the clock that is reading five minutes before midnight and I'm officially eighteen. "Hey it's almost midnight" I had to remind lucas who I doubt was checking the clock like I did. "Oh" he said before tearing his eyes from the screen and straight to my scared face. "Oh come on I didn't have to teach you for six years and stay up the whole night to see your scared face" "That's nothing Luc I'm still scared" I said not pausing to think about how he will feel about it. I don't care anyways. They say respect your mate, respect your parents, respect you teachers and superiors but your  best friend is meant for all the bad you can ever give. We sat there staring at the clock as if it was the most interesting thing in the night sky Pack's house and as normal as always the clock struck midnight. "Maybe this was a waste of time" Lucas said as soon as I officially turned eighteen. And before I knew what was happening my head started aching to the extent that I thought I was going to faint. I could see Lucas moving his mouth but no matter what I did I couldn't hear him. I shook my head for a couple of seconds but all in vain the pain persisted. "Hi" I heard a voice say.  I thought I finally could hear again and the pain seemed to subdue as the time went on, it took a little time to see that Lucas was still talking with a concerned look on his face and that means he wasn't the one who said 'hi'. "Hello" the voice said again and since the headache has ceased I heard it loud and clear from my head. Great now I'm imagining voices. Then I thought of myself answering the voice with a 'hi' and just like that I talked to the voice. "Oh, my name is Aliyah and I'm your other side, it's good being able to talk to you after all these years" Now I was going crazy. As pups we were told that we have a wolf side of us but we were never told that we could speak to that part, they always told us that, that is a lesson for another day. "Ava are you alright?" I had lucas say. Oh thanks moon goddess I was going insane. "Nope" I answered as if stating the obvious. "What's wrong?" He asked. "Aliyah, I can speak to her" I said. "Who is Aliyah, is she the kidnapper?" He asked and within the smallest time I can ever describe he was in position ready to attack. "No, my other side" I simply said and saw him drop his guard along with his jaws. "You mean you can speak to your wolf side? How can you, how..." He started but before he could finish his sentence his father entered the theater, I was a bit scared to be honest hearing the sound the theater door opening when we were all alone in this  big room, but in fractions of a second I was in attack position. "How did you do that" lucas asked, and to be honest I have no idea. "Lucas out, miss Ava follow me" Alpha Damien said before exiting the theater as quick as he came in. I followed him all the way to his office and took a sit on the other side of the table staring straight into his scary golden eyes. Since when was gold scary? "Congratulations Miss Ava" he started and I'm starting to hate the title he is using on me. We're supposed to obey the alpha not the other way round. "I'm going to give you a short summary you'll know more after your graduation day, and for your information you won't like everything I will tell you" he said his golden eyes staring straight into my brown orbs. This is a nightmare!
