Kinley is used to being different, not just because she's curvy in a werewolf pack but because instead of having a wolf she's an empath. She's able to sense and read people's thoughts and emotions by one single touch. As such every relationship she's had has ended in disaster and she no longer believes in true love, after all she's seen every kind of man out there and she's less than impressed.

She keeps to herself, hires herself out as a nanny and moves on when it becomes too much. Too many men have tried to take advantage of her position and she'll let hell freeze over before she lets them. Besides, her father is hell possessive and has taught her to fight and stand up for herself.

When she becomes a nanny to a man whose a recluse in a shifter pack, she wonders at the reason for his absence especially when it comes to his adorable son. She can't complain though. The pay's good, she doesn't have to fend off unwanted advances and she has the freedom to do whatever she wants on her time off. Could life be any more better or is there something behind closed doors that she should know about and will she ever find that elusive true love or is she destined to be alone forever?

Kinley
The music was loud, the thumping of the beat louder still as she danced, her long hair swaying over her shoulders as she boogied to the beat, content in being alone and thrilled to be in one of the hottest night clubs around. Kinley had no trepidation or concerns, drinking and having a good time. It might not seem like much but to her it was enough to be relaxing as she wound down after a long hard week of work. She sighed and made her way to the bar, weaving through the crowd and plonked herself on a stool, fanning a hand at her face and grimacing at the sweat that had gathered. The bartender was a lively girl with bright purple locks and heavy makeup to match, dressed in leather and looked smoking hot, Kinley loving the outfit she wore and the attitude she had to go with it. She loved women who had the guts to express themselves and stand out rather than blend in with what was the norm. "Another margherita" the lady whose name was Rihanna guessed and Kinley chuckled and nodded, flinging her money down on the table along with a tip. Rihanna just grinned and took it, making up her drink quickly and bringing it over. "So are you solo then" a man said as he slid into the seat next to her and Kinley wanted to groan out loud. She was having a good time and hadn't wanted to be disturbed. She began to sip at her drink, raising an eyebrow at the man. She had to admit he was very good looking. Slightly older, perhaps mid twenties with a business suit on. He had white teeth that fairly blinded when he smiled and he had a broad jaw with wide forehead, blue eyes and dark blonde and brown hair. She decided she would give him a chance and smiled back. After all she wasn't the type to judge a book by it's cover. "I am" she admitted "and what about you" she added not even trying to be coy, but instead being direct as he looked slightly taken aback by it. "I'm with some friends" he told her with a toss of his head, directing her gaze to a small group of businessmen huddled around a booth. "That's nice" Kinley said politely as she went to turn back to her drink but he wasn't dissuaded by her clear lack of interest. "My names Mark what's yours" he said almost shouting now to be heard over the music as it changed to a more noisy bass. "Kinley" she shouted back and watched him as he touched her on the hand, his eyes staring directly into hers. Damnit she'd hoped he wouldn't do that. For her it always happened instantaneously. She never even had to try, it just happened. She sighed. His thoughts were racing through his head and it was like a stereo turning on, his emotions overwhelming. She sensed excitement, joy and a slight tinge of cruelty inside of him as well. That wasn't so bad but she also had his thoughts to shift through and like always she found herself disappointed as she listened unabashedly to them, knowing he had no clue she was currently reading his mind. Kinley is a nice name. She's stunning, beautiful and my god those curves, I just want to reach out and touch her. Surely if I ask her back to mine she won't say no? After all, while I like her curves other men would think she's big. Besides I'm a catch, she'd be lucky to sleep with someone like me. She broke the contact off and stood up. Kinley had everything she already needed to know about the men and she sighed. What a shame someone that good looking was such a complete asshole. If he'd just been nice he would have had his world rocked tonight but he'd had to make that comment about her being lucky to sleep with him. She almost snorted. As if. If anything he would have been lucky to have her, especially as she showed him just how damn good she was in bed. Poor man had really missed out she mused as he looked at her surprised. "I must be going now" she said without explaining and he blinked, hastily getting up himself. "Where. I can walk you if it isn't far" he offered and she almost rolled her eyes at his blatant attempt to get in her pants. "I can walk on my own" she told him bluntly and turned, heading directly out of the club, her heels clacking along the ground. She didn't look backwards, didn't see the scowl on the man's face, completely confident in her strides, shivering slightly against the cold wind, her coat not quite protecting her from the chill. She sensed him behind her and paused, feeling his arm grip hers and the thoughts that flew back into her mind without pause. Bitch Who does she think she is I'll show her, no one turns me down and makes me look like a moron to my friends. She yanked her hand away and turned towards him, her eyes shining in the pitch black of night. "I think you should leave now" she told him, trying to reason with him and he shook his head, determination etched on his face. "Not until you agree to let me walk you home, give you my number." His voice was teasing but she wasn't having it. What gave men the right to think it was ok to hassle women until they gave in? Man she hated men like that, always had. She closed her eyes. This was going to get messy but she'd be damned if she let him treat her this way. Never again would she allow a man to think he had power over her. She turned and when he made a move, intending to grasp her arm again, she swivelled quickly, her hand clenched into a fist that hit him directly on the nose, kneeing him in the stomach and then to give insult to injury, kneed him in the privates, affectively disabling him as he doubled over and fell to the floor, clutching his knees to his chest and howling. "You b***h" he muttered and she knelt close, eyes staring directly into his as he gulped "you know I tried to warn you, told you no on numerous occasions" she murmured "you chose not to listen so if anyone's the b***h it's you" she continued, standing up and gingerly walking around his body with a shake of her own head. "I'd put some ice on that" she tossed over her shoulder, walking away with her shoulder's high and her chest thrust forward. Time to go home and rest up, ready to take on the weekend with some fun before looking for another job. She didn't even look back, not even once. Hopefully Mark had learnt his lesson even if it had been the hard way she thought smirking.
