The Girl Who Ran With Vampires (Book 1)

I’m Rachel Hale, and this is my story. I was told that my biological mother gave me up, but I don´t believe that. When I was in her stomach, I heard her, she said she loved me. If that was so, why would she give me up if she loved me? So I need to find out some information. All I have of my mother is a picture. I wanna find my parents, but I don´t even know what my father looks like. I have no memories of him. In school I have many friends. I basically only have Renesmee and my boyfriend, Tyler. Of course, I had more than that, but they are my best-friends. I didn't really need a lot of people in my life. I wasn't the most popular kid in school. I never really fit in at school. Every school I went to, I had someone make fun of me, because I didn't know my real parents. But that´s going to change. The next morning was another day at high school. I really didn't wanna get out of bed. But if I didn't, my dad would make me go to school. I have a stupid test today in Advice Math. I hate Math. Sure, yeah, I´m good at it, but still, it's boring. I got out of bed, got some school clothes, and headed to my bathroom. I warmed up some shower water. I had to go fast because Renesmee always walked with me to school, and sometimes Tyler. I stripped off my clothes and hopped in the shower. When I got out of the shower, I headed downstairs to see Renesmee and her mom was already there. I guessed my dad was with Uncle Edward out hunting. "Hey Renesmee, Aunt Bella. You ready?" I already knew the answer. "Yeah." I grabbed my bag, waved goodbye, and headed out. Walking to school took us 5-7 minutes. It really depends on how fast we walk. We usually walked at an okay speed. "Did you study for the quiz today in Math?" I asked Renesmee. "We don´t have a quiz today." I gave her a confused look. What did she mean we didn't have a quiz today? "Mr.Wilson sent out an email telling us that the quiz has been moved to next weekend. Didn't you get the email?" Renesmee said. "Not one." We continued to walk in silence. As we arrived, I headed to Mr.Wilson's room, to ask why he cancelled the quiz. "Uh hey Mr. Wilson. I was just wondering why you canceled the quiz today. I was all prepared." "Sorry Rachel, we have two new students today who haven't studied. We need to catch them up." New students? I couldn't wait to meet these new students. I would like to help them catch up. I am good at math. Is this new student going to be advanced or regular math? "Are these students advanced or regular?" I kind of needed to know, like now. "Both. The girl is advanced, the boy regular." Mr. Wilson said Well, I now know. I would be so happy to help them. "Well, if you need someone to help them catch up, am your girl." I headed out of the classroom, to get all my items for my first period of the day. I hated and loved my schedule. Me and Tyler had basically had the same schedule, and Renesmee and I had half of the day together. I just only had one class all by myself. 1. Advance Math, with Tyler 2. P.E, with Tyler and Renesmee 3. Advanced History, by myself 4. Science , with Tyler 5. Advance French, with Renesmee 6. Advance Music, With Tyler and Renesmee "Hey Rachel." Tyler said "Hey Tyler, did you know that Mr. Wilson canceled the quiz today?" I said. Tyler grabbed his phone from his back pocket and opened up his sss. "Now I do, but it doesn't matter, today we're skipping school and hanging out." He suggested. "Can't. There are new students and I want to meet them today, not tomorrow, not next week, today. Plus, why do you wanna skip school today? You have a test today in your history class." Instead of him answering my question, he took my bag and my hand and started walking to class. I wondered why he ignored the question. 1. He knows his parents would ground him for who knows how long, 2. Why would he want to skip school? Yeah, I heard that he wants to hang out but we hang out every day after school?, 3. He has a test to do in History? When we got to class, my eye went straight to the girl talking to Mr. Wilson at his desk. "Rachel, come on, what are you looking at? Is that the new girl?" "Yeah I think so." I walked over to my desk and pulled out everything I needed and headed over to the girl. "Hi. Are you the new student?" I asked. "I hope she is not supposed to be in Advanced, she's supposed to be in regular math. Can you take her to...uh to Mrs. Thompson room." I nodded Walking all the way to the second floor of the school, it was in silence the whole way. I was sorta upset that we weren't getting a new student, if I knew I wouldn't have turned down Tyler for skipping school. "So where are you from?" I asked to make small conversations "Uh, Tribeca New York." I nodded , then it flew to my mind. "Tribeca, isn't Tribeca the richest part of New York?" I asked. I waited for an answer but she didn't answer. She just kept walking like she knew where to go. We went back to walking in silence. When we got to Mrs. Thompson, I headed to her desk. "Mrs. Thompson, this uh girl is supposed to be in your class." "Your right she is." I looked over at the boy that said that. The boy was dreamy. He had nice blue eyes, just the girl, good style, like the girl, good skin, like the girl. OMG there twins. "Emma Flores, you are in this class. Evan Flores your advance to Mr. Wilson. Rachel, can you take Evan to Mr. Wilson class please. "Yep, just on my way back. Come Evan." As we headed back, my mind was clear. Clear as a glass cup. "So Evan, you from Tribeca like your sister?" "Yeah, Why?" I tried to come up with a "why". "Well, I asked your sister Emma. I asked but she didn't answer." "I don't follow, so you asked Emma if she from Tribeca?" My heart started beating really fast. I don't know why, it just did. It was like I was nervous. As we arrived back at Mr. Wilson's, the class had already started on last week's lesson again. "No, she told me, she ignored me when I said "Isn't Tribeca the richest part of New York?" "and this is Advice Math. Mr. Wilson this Evan. He is the new student that is supposed to be in this class. He is Emma sister." After I introduced him to Mr. Wilson, I went over to my seat next to Tyler. I got all the things I needed for last week's assignment today. I opened my textbook on 'Environmental Factors'. It was my topic last week. Today we were supposed to take a quiz on it. The class was very silent, even Tyler didn't ask me for help once. I know that this advance and his is advanced, but I thought he didn't learn this at his old school?.......... " Does Tyler need any help with anything?" "Exactly, no. This is surprisingly easy." I was going to snap. Environmental factors are not easy. Well, now that I know how to do them there easily, but when I didn't, god they didn't make any sense. Environmental Factors is like something like Science or Health, but you don't learn it in Math. I know right weird. Here let me explain. Environmental Factors include temperature, food, pollutants, population density, sound, light, and even parasites. The diversity of environmental stresses that have been shown to cause an increase in asymmetry is probably not exclusive; many other kinds of stress might provide similar effects. Understand? At class, I packed up all my math work and headed out. My next class was PE. I headed to my locker and got my gym clothes. I got to the girls' locker and hurried and changed my clothes and headed out to the middle of the gym with Tyler and Renesmee. "So Rachel, did she get to the new kids today?" Renesmee "Yeah there twins. Their names are Emma Flores and Evan Flores. They were from Tribeca, New York." Renesmee nodded Tyler and Renesmee seemed to be in a mad mood. Why? Before I could ask Mr. Mendes, came to the gym class. "Class, listen, stop you're bickering. Today we have 2 new students, Emma and Evan Flores. They come all the way from Tribeca, New York." "See and why are you guys so in a grumpy mood? Light-en up. Jeez" I walked over to Evan and Emma to get to know them more and just to hang out with them, since my other friends were in a bad mood. After a little of talking, the coach came back into the gym. "Alright guys, what I need you to do is go outside and do 3 laps around the track" said Coach Mendes. After running 3 laps around, it was time to go and clean up. We didn't get a lot of time in P.E. So we always just kept the activities short. After PE, I changed into my regular clothes and decided that I was going to keep History. I’ll guess I’ll take up with Tyler offer. He looked pretty upset when I turned him down earlier today. “Hey. Let’s go. I Wanna skip.” I said “Can’t” Tyler says walking off I roll eyes. This day has gone completely terrible. I go to the school parking lot and sit in my car for a complete 5 minutes. That was until I seen the new kids, Evan and Emma. “Hey how was you guys first day?” I asked coming out of my car “Fine, I guess” Evan responded “WOW. And I get a response” I laughed I ended up laughing alone,,,awkward “We need to get going. We have plans” They got into their car and drove off. Once I got home I took a smooth bath and changed into some decent home clothes. After the bath, went to the kitchen to get a nice small snack. Then I fell asleep. Hours later “ Rachel, wake up” Tyler said “What” I said with my eyes still closed One thing I hate most in this world is being waken up while I’m sleeping. It’s so irritating. “I need to ask u something” Tyler said “And you couldn’t text me it” I said sounding irritated “No I couldn’t ask you through text cause you can easily lie through text” Tyler said frustrated “Fine. Just go down stairs. You know how my dad gets when you’re in my room.” I watched him leave my room. I hate to see him frustrated. Specially everything that is going on at home. And specifically knowing that I’m lying about who I actually is and my family. It’s not right. So whatever he needs to ask me I tell the truth....maybe. “Okay so what do you need to ask me” “Do you like that new kid? I seen how you was looking at him today and I seem you talking with him and his sister today” I flashed a crazy look at him. Is he really jealous? “Tyler no. You know I like you and only you” I reached into him and kissed him I throw my leg over him and sat on his lap kissing him. “God, I love you Rachel” Tyler said I froze. I wasn’t really expecting that. I took myself off his lap and sat next to him. We’ve never told each other that before. “What? Do you not love me or something?” “No it’s not that, it’s just I wasn’t expecting you to say that” “Say you love me then” My face turned numb. I wasn’t ready to tell him that. “Do you want something to eat?” I tried to change the subject I could see that Tyler was getting upset with me. “Tyler I can’t” “Why not? We’ve been together for almost over a year.” I wasn’t about to fight with him today. "I shouldn't have to say it when you want me to say. I'll say it when I'm ready but until your going to have wait" I walked back up to my room.
