The Kings and Queens

It was raining heavily. Everyone in the neighborhood were trying to sleep or cuddle up with their loved ones. But a particular reoccurring noise kept disturbing them. KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK "Cassie open up it's Bella" Bella rubbed her knuckles that were red from all the knocking. She was shivering and felt cold to the point of death but she didn't relent and kept knocking and pleading for the person at the other side of the door to open it. The neighbors got tempted to open their windows and scream at the intruder and noise maker. Some were already even calling the police. -AT THE OTHER SIDE OF THE DOOR- "Where will you hide now?" Cassie half yelled at a naked Alan. "I told you not to come" "Hmph. Just ignore her babe, I want to continue what we were—" The words he was going to say next got muffled by the thick duvet Cassie threw at him. "Shut up and enter that closet" she pointed to a door behind him. "And take your clothes with you" Alan stomped on the floor like a grumpy child but he still picked his clothes that were sprawled all over the floor and entered the closet. Cassie quickly tidied up the bed and arranged her room. She shrugged into the first denim overalls she could lay her hands on. She rushed to the mirror and wiped every makeup on her face. She applied her handy eye drop and blinked a few times. When she was sure that she looked sleepy she sauntered to the door, taking her time. She would let Bella suffer a little in the cold before opening the door for her. She started counting to twenty in the slowest way possible before putting her hand on the door knowing and twisting it. Bella who had just sniffed for the thousandth time raised her bruised knuckles to the door again when it suddenly swung open. "Bella? Bella!! come in" Cassie donned her world class acting as the considerate best friend. Bella took ginger steps inside. She was dripping wet. All her clothes were drenched from the rain. And she didn't even need to bother about her phone she had thrown it in the first trash can she had seen on her way here. "Why are you wet?" Cassie asked removing the layers of clothes on Bella. "Did you walk all the way here?" she continued probing. "What's the matter? You know you can confide in me" she said handing Bella a pull over. "I'm pregnant" Bella said in a quiet voice. Cassie who was busying herself looking for a towel to dry Bella's hair paused for a brief minute. Bella who was trying not to wet the floor stood at the door, not noticing the change in Cassie. "What did you say?" Cassie asked walking to Bella with the towel in hand. "I said...I'm pregnant...for Lexus" Bella said in an even lower voice. "Now how did that happen?" "He-he forced me to months ago....and-and I'm late" Bella explained in an aggrieved voice. "Two months ago?" the wheels were turning in Cassie's head. "Wasn't that when you gave him the drug?" "Yes it was" Bella was focused on drying her hair and didn't see the angry expression that painted Cassie's face. "That bastard how dare he? Bella don't take this the wrong way but I have an abortion medicine in my drawer if you want" Cassie said with a glance towards the cupboard at the end of the room. "Th-that is if you want...if you don't want it I won't force you. It's just that I'm worried about your parents image. That cheap rascal had the mind to do such a nasty thing" she took Bella's hands in hers. "Bella you must understand the repercussions of this baby. Do you want to have a child with a person who doesn't even respect you?" "Of course not. Give it to me Cassie" Bella said with determination in her eyes. "Are you sure? You can think about it very well" "No!! I don't want to think about anything. Give me right now" Bella said. Cassie smirked then brought the 'abortion medicine' to Bella. "The prescription says to take more pills for it to be effective but it can have side effects" she pretended to read the dosage. "I think you should take one or two just in case" "What nonsense" Bella reached for the bottle and gulped down the bitter pills. "Urgh...if this is the price for that bastard to pay them so be it" After twenty minutes her body started to feel funny. "Um...Cassie where did you buy this drug? My body feels funny" "From the death store" a familiar male voice answered from Cassie's closet. It opened to reveal her heart's throb. Alan Queen. "A-alan what are you doing her?" her eyes drooped to see his naked body. "And naked at that?" "I told you to stay inside" Cassie said in a reprimanding tone. "I couldn't wait any longer babe plus she'll be gone soon so I just thought I might as well come out" Alan answered casually and hopped on the bed causing his member to shake. Inadvertently defiling the pure heart of Bella. Her cheeks were tinted pink. But her body grew weak. Soon she slipped from the chair struggling to stay conscious. "Cassie...wh-what did you do?" she managed to ask. "Oh that I simply sent you to death's door in the quickest manner" Cassie replied as if she was asked about the weather. "You're...m-my b-b-best friend how could you do this? You were supposed to have my back" "I DID have your back. That's why I made you provoke Lexus at every opportunity I could get. If your marriage" she chuckled maniacly "I mean WHEN your marriage with Lexus doesn't work out, he'll divorce you...marry me then I'll kill him and marry Alan. It's the perfect plan don't you think? And you only made it easier for all of us" Bella was on the brink of death now. Her skin had turned pale and tears were brimming out of her eyes. Cassie tipped her chin up with one finger and whispered "goodbye Bella" before letting her head fall to the ground. ----- Bella suddenly found herself in a dark place. It was like a tunnel she saw nothing and no one. All of a sudden she saw light and a figure in a distance. After living with him for two years she could clearly distinguish him. She instantly knew. it was Lexus and she started running to him. She was screaming his name, begging him to forgive her. She was sorry that she never gave him a chance and judged him too quickly like Cassie wanted. She was sorry that she hurt him. And even more importantly she was sorry that she broke their future.
