The Betrayal
Several centuries ago,  a deal with the moon god and goddess was made. For power, strength, speed, and immortality. The creatures born were half-animal and half-human. The first man to become this horrific creature was a man named Mikhail. His lineage was royal and what everyone referred to as the ancient ones. Mikhail was the first beast. He would be able to transform into a creature that stood on two legs and was covered in fur. It had large sharp canine teeth. His eyes and anyone from his pack had unique colored eyes. They were this very deep, dark and rich blue. Many years later these creatures evolved and became what the world knows now as a wolf. The ancient ones are nothing more than legends and said to all be dead now. With time another type of beast was created but not by any god. It was also immortal and possessed a great deal of strength. After a few wars between the two species, a truce was formed. Territories were claimed and hunting grounds were respected. No one made any uproar and everyone kept the peace. Well, that was until now. Christian was the alpha of his pack ever since his father died three years ago. He took this role with ease and became a respected leader just as his father was before him. He met his mate, Jessica. Jessica came from a long line of omegas. Her family never coveted power or strength. Her parents were kind hardworking people but she was the opposite. She was very pretty. Not a natural beauty but very easy on the eyes. She always wanted to have beauty, power, and status. She was becoming more rude and power-hungry. Most members of the pack began to see the change and how it affected their alpha. Christian, however, let it continue and kept trusting his mate's judgment, for better or worse.   It started with small things at first. She would demand every female in the pack to compliment her every time they greeted her. If anyone disrespected her they would be punished and sent to a cell for some time. Her parents tried to keep her at bay and change her back to the sweet girl they once knew. Jessica was mated to an alpha and had money, power, status and she would only get more consumed by that with time. She began to get jealous of other packs and hated the gossip that they were getting larger and more powerful than her own. She demanded her mate do something quickly. She planned out attacks on smaller packs in the area and take the most capable men/warriors and have them pledge their allegiance to them or die. Soon their pack grew larger and larger. They were the most feared pack in north America. The White Fang Pack was always deemed too powerful to overthrow and was left to continue their reign for years. Christian and Jessica lived well for some of those years but it became tough when Jessica was only becoming more ruthless and mad. One night during another pack raid, she led the charge and was badly injured. A fellow Luna was protecting her mate and slashed her face while they fought mercilessly. Jessica's face was scarred and she demanded the head of the culprit. Christian was eager to oblige and brought not only hers but that of her mates as well. Jessica did everything in her power to get rid of the scar left by her enemy. To no avail. She became erratic and angry. She began to kill other packs for sport and not just to build up her own anymore. She was spending more time away from Christian and would wander off the pack's territory. Christian tried to remain calm and pretend none of this affected him or his pack. His pack still followed him loyally. One fateful night while Christian slept he felt his heartbreak. It felt like a thousand knives had penetrated his heart and plunged themselves straight to the core. He woke up from his slumber and began to cough blood. He felt like he couldn't breathe. Then the sharp pains in his stomach caused him to drop to his knees. He let out a loud roar and cry. His entire pack could feel this in their bones. Christian's beta Liam came running into his bedroom. He tried to help his alpha but it was no use. Christian felt his mates betrayal running through his veins. Suddenly Christian shifted into his wolf and ran out his bedroom window. His beta called for three more men and they soon followed suit. Christian had made it close to the source of his pain when he then went numb. He whimpered for a few seconds and then stopped. He let out a fierce growl and stood dead in his tracks. Christian shifted back into his human self and one of the men ran to get him some new clothes to put on. He walked over the area where he last caught a hint of his mate's scent. There was no trace of her. The scent stopped in this dreary alley. It took 4 hours to convince the alpha to go home and get some rest. When he finally did he had no comfort and was not able to fall asleep. 4 weeks had passed and no news of his mate or what happened to her. He went out almost every night to look for any signs of her. He felt the connection dissipate that fateful night but he tried all he could to reassemble it. He didn't want to admit to himself she was gone. 4 more days passed and he had grown weary. It was exactly 4 am and he heard a few of his men scream in pain. He and his beta ran towards the noise. Four of his men had been killed and forty had been severely wounded. He looked around but there was no enemy in sight. His beta shifted and went to look for intruders on the other side of the clearing. Soon an enemy approached Christian. It was a tall pale man with red eyes. He was wearing a long black coat and black jeans and a black t-shirt. He looked to be in his late thirties. He had slick black hair that reached the middle of his back. His face looked so structured. He had a chiseled jawline and a dark expression. Christian was about to shift when suddenly another figure came into view. He was left motionless. It was his mate Jessica standing now hand to hand with this demonic creature. She was just as pale and had the same dark red eyes. Her dark raven hair a bit shorter than before. It reached her shoulder now. The scar she once had on her face now gone. She was perfect as a statue. She had the same dark expression in her eyes. At that moment all Christian knew was if they wanted a fight they would get it. He called all the men in his pack and fought what seemed like an endless battle. 14 of his men died but he was the victor. The couple retreated but not before some words were exchanged. Jessica vowed to get revenge on what she called her weak mate and equally weak pack. Christian declared his vengeance and said he would never let himself become weak especially for a she-wolf again.   Within 4 days, Christian demanded all mated wolves to leave his pack or die. He killed over a dozen mated couples to prove he was serious. Soon many of the mated couples left in fear of their lives. He also declared that no man in his pack would ever mate, EVER. The males who stayed were okay with this since they hadn't met anyone yet and had too much fear to disobey their alpha. He became a bit crazed and sought new members like before. He went back to slaughtering smaller packs and taking in strong warriors from them. He regained his numbers and almost doubled them within a few months. They trained endlessly day in and day out. He was going to be ready for and if Jessica ever returned. He also wanted everyone in the world to know his name and his reputation. Four years passed, Christian hadn't heard or seen Jessica since. He was living a pretty normal life. At least what he called normal. He was still ruthless and dangerous but soon someone would spin his world upside down. ~ Somewhere in Europe, "Henry," Sapphire said. "Henry hurry up" "I'll be there in a minute," he said. "I swear Henry you take forever," Sapphire retorted.  I never understood why Henry took forever. It's not like he could look bad. He was a blonde beauty. His long blonde hair he would pull back with a hair tie leaving one strand free. He had a full bread that took more time to groom then his golden locks. He was my best friend and confidante. He knew me better than anyone. I was excited to go visit Henry's old home. He traveled a lot. He had a new art gallery to open and I wanted to help him in any way I could. Henry suddenly appeared with his white button-up shirt and black jeans. He grabbed his long trench coat and picked up our bags placing them in his car. The airport was much farther away then I thought it would be. I was bringing my long red ginger hair above my head and letting it fall on my face. It was smooth, full and wavy. "Tired?" Henry asked. "Kind of," I responded. He grabbed my hand and placed it on his lap. I turned my face to smile at him and he just gave me a quick smile back. We finally reached the airport. As Henry got our bags out of the car someone bumped into me and I almost fell to the ground while the man ran towards the entrance with my handbag. Before I could hit the ground everything froze. Henry was quickly at my side and helped me stand up straight. "What was that," I said. "Asshole," Henry said angrily.  He walked over to the man pushed him to the ground where he slid a few inches from where he was. He grabbed my purse and handed it back to me. "Thanks," I said. Henry then unfroze the crowd and we continued to grab our things and headed inside. After that everything went well. We went on our private jet and flew for about 11hrs. "So are you excited about the new art gallery?" I asked. "Yeah, it will be cool," Henry replied. "I hope you don't get bored." "Oh come on. I'm looking forward to helping you out and seeing the art you chose," I said. "Plus there has to be something I can go hunt and kill while I am there."
