The Prince of Castile

There's blood all over the wall. My hands drenched. Disgusted by the sight. You're probably wondering what I did. No, I'm not a criminal. I didn't murder someone... it was something. You see, I'm a fisherman. I work at the docks; I just had to butcher my first catch. It's only been an hour and I'm already disgusted but there are no other jobs in town besides mining. And there is no way I'm getting black lung for the rest of my life. So fishing it was. Living on a cold little peninsula on the edge of nowhere is tough. Once you get outta town its forests and plains for miles. The next town is at least an hour's drive away. But anyway back to me. My name is Y/N and as you already know I'm a fisher...and I hate it. My dad was never around so it's just me, my mum, and my devilish little brother Jasper. I live in the middle of nowheresville as you heard. It's actually a little rustic town called Castile. There are about 100 people who honestly live here. Then we got porters and ship crews in and out of the place. I live in a little cottage as everyone does here. On the outskirts of town, there's Mount Nerthus, that's where prince Roman lives. I don't know much about him besides that he has 4 brothers and is really bitchy. I stumbled into my house wearing my giant rubber boots. Shortly falling on my face as I was startled by the phone ringing. I reached for the phone up on the nightstand and answered the call. "Hello deary it's mum. I wanted to share with you that I found a good-looking fellow today so I gave him your phone number. Have a lovely time! I expect a call later. Love you, dear. Mwah!" Without any chance to speak she ends the call. Mum, I love you but stay out of my love life. I will find the one when they come. I pick myself up and change out of my work clothes into a more casual outfit. After tossing the muddy jumpsuit into the wash I step back outside. I decided to check the mail as it usually comes by now. Inside the box, I find a singular red and gold embossed envelope. Opening it ever so carefully, I remove the paper inside. A ball. Of all people why was I invited? I'm like the least royal human being around. At least they gave me two weeks to think over the invite. In the middle of all my complaining, I barely hear the phone ring. "Y/N! Did you hear about Prince Roman's birthday ball? Don't worry I wasn't invited but Ms. Lily was. She's so excited! Just think of all the handsome fellows you'll meet! *gasp* I could help you pick out a dress! We can go into town and walk to all the shops! Oh, what fun! I'll see you then ta ta!" Mother when will you learn! Please stay out of my love life. Go find Jasper someone to love. I set the letter on the table and stare at it for a while. Do I want to go? I don't really like people much but mum has her opinion. What to do? What to do?
