I'm sitting in my history teacher's class when I feel one of my friends nudges my shoulder. "What do you want Taylor?" "You are sooo checking her out right now," Taylor whispers in my ear. I just shake my head at her words. "Was not," I mumble. "You definitely were," Taylor argues. "Why don't you just talk to her", my other friend Hector suggests. "Because Look at her! She is perfect! What would I even say?!?!" "Hello, my name is y/n, I think your hot and we should get married and have babies, Taylor says before she burst out laughing, causing the entire class to look our way. I blush and sink down into my chair. "Anything you three want to share with us," Mr. Matthews asks. "Sorry sir," I say mentally cursing my friends. I hesitantly turn to see Maya smirking at me and I blush before her best friend Riley whispers something in her ear. I turn back to face the board when I hear may say, "I know, but I don't mind", to Riley. Mr. Mathews begins teaching again and I feel someone nudge my shoulder again. "What is it", I ask slightly annoyed "You have been crushing on her for a year! A year Y/n! And you still haven't talked to her", Hector says. "Were you not listening when I said I don't know how to talk to her?" "Actually I was listening, and you sounded stupid! She doesn't have a perfect life and you know that! You just want an excuse not to talk to her." I sigh knowing he is right. "Okay, for today's assignment you will need a partner", Mr.Mathews says. I look over to see Taylor and Hector smirking at each other. "He will you be my partner", Taylor asks him. "Of course beautiful", Hector replies. "Oh would you look at that all of Maya's friends are partnered up except for her," Hector points out. "Do it y/n, she won't kill you!" Taylor tells me. I sigh before getting up and walking over to her. She smiles at me and I do the same nervously. "D-do you need a partner," I stutter. She giggles, aww shes cute. "Yeah, actually I do," she replies. "Well, do you wanna be an mm-my partner?" "I would like that," she giggles again. I blush but to hide it I quickly sit down in the desk next to her. "I'm Y/n by the way." "I know", she smiles. Does she know who I am? Nobody knows who I am! "Your the quite and pretty girl who is always writing in her notebook at lunch." "Y-you think I'm pretty?" "W-well um yeah, I do," she blushes. My heart accelerates knowing I made her blush. "What are you always writing anyway", she quickly changes the subject. "Oh uh um, just some poems", I reply letting my shyness get the best of me. "Really? What about?" You "Just things that I admire..." "That's different, I like different. Most people don't care enough to express their feelings like that, but I think its cool that you do." Maya is facing me and my friends are sitting behind her. I see Taylor and Hector smiling stupidly and giving me a thumbs up. "Okay, so I want you and a partner to create a presentation on a love story that went wrong." I furrow my eyebrows in confusion. "Mathews, what does this have to do with history," Maya asks. "Cause and effect play an important role in history, and in whichever story you choose, you will learn that every decision has consequences. You will present this to the class in three days." I nod as Maya does the same. "A love story huh?" I giggle, "yeah." "I would say Romeo and Juliet but everyone is probably already doing that," Maya says. "You read Romeo and Juliet", I ask in unbelief. She laughs. "Are you kidding no I haven't read it but I know what happens, boy meets girl, girl loves the boy, boy loves the girl, then they die." "Yeah that's literally all that happens", I Joke. Maya laughs and shakes her head. We start writing some ideas for the project down before we hear the bell ring. {Maya's Point Of Veiw} Y/n is a really interesting girl. She is quiet but she has a lot to say. She intrigues me. She is really pretty, and even though I told her accidentally, I'm glad I did, because I want her to know she is. The bell rings I decide to make a bold move. "Hey Y/n do you think I can get your number? Y-know so we can talk about the project and stuff." "Of course". She gives me her number. I smile and kiss her cheek, letting my lips linger for a second or two. I pull away and see her blushing like crazy. I know she likes me, I have known since the middle of last year when I caught her making love eyes at me. But what she doesn't know is I like her too... "See you later Y/n," I say walking out of the classroom and into the cafeteria. "B-bye", she giggles. ~~~~ at lunch~~~~ I'm sitting at my usual table at lunch with Riley, Lucas, Farkle, Smackle, and Zay. I look over at Y/n and she looks different. She looks happier. She smiling really big while writing today. I wonder does she ever write about me... "So how was it", Zay asks. "How was what"? I ask genuinely confused. "Working with your girlfriend in class today," he responds. I get up and sit on the other side of the table beside say. I smile at him. "Why are you smiling at me," he asks nervously. "Because if you ever say that again, I will kill you, and I want you to have a pretty image of me in your head the next time you think about it. That way you won't forget." I lean closer to him and he leans back. "LUCAS", he cries out. "Sorry can't help you, buddy". I get up and walk back to my seat. "Maya we all know you like her, so why don't you ask her out," Riley asks. "Because Riles, I want to get to know her better before I do." "Awww", Farkle and Smackle coo. I chuckle and throw a grape at them.
