Prologue
Our history has been the same for over a billion years; when time began there was The Sun, no one knows where it comes from, we only know that it holds the power to create planets, worlds and of course... us. The Sun fills them with life, which is how our race was born. There was a time we once all lived in peace and harmony. But like all great power, some wanted it for good, others, for evil, to takeover the Empire, our planet. And so began the war, the war that raged, ravaged and shook our planet until it was consumed by death, and The Sun... was lost to the far reaches of space. We scattered across the multitudes of galaxies, hoping to find it, and rebuild our home. Searching every planet, every world, every star. And just when all hope seemed lost, an unknown message of a new discovery drew us to an unknown planet called… Earth. But we were 3 thousand years too late. We’ve taken refuge on Earth and on our planet, we’re trying to build what we can, but we can’t complete our home without The Sun, so it’s complicated. The Sun is what kept our planet in tack, connected with other planets and galaxies like our own. But, now without The Sun, we’ve lost all connections. Cybord, my great Uncle was the cause of our war, millions of us died, we lost families, friends and mostly our existence to the guardians. He went deep into our planet in search for The Sun. We’ve lived through time and space and have witnessed galaxies and planets being born. The Sun, a circle object that protects even the strongest rays from Our Sun. Our ancestors believe that an unknown forced called… Hylectra placed the ray of light in this object and hid it for itself. No one knows the full story but, I think my parents do. “Chief Konami, I think we’ve found the destination of The Sun,” Angolu, a servant warrior of my parents, said. He was the one who tracked down The Sun and noticed that our home was dying slowly but quickly from an unknown cause. My father, looked up from his platform and stood up from his white chair. My father’s blonde hair gleaming from the light in the room, although his hair gleams when there is no light for it to take.  “Where Angolu?” my father asked him. Angolu laser beamed a light towards dad and he eyed the hologram for a moment before dismissing it. He sighed before turning to me. I gulped. I was hoping he’d change his mind and call my twin sister Montell instead. The second his eyes came in contact with mines, I wanted to run out of the throne room, but that would make my parents look bad and to make things worse, my feet refused to move. I wanted to look over at my mom but my eyes were stuck to my dad like he had a trancing hold on me, something he only did to my older brothers Connor and Gallo. Dad turned to Angolu. “How did you find it?” “Sir, I only located its power not the object itself. It’s with a mortal, a human.” “Trend, I’m sending you, your brothers and sisters to Earth. You are to find a human by this name..” dad held the hologram to face me. The boy looked to be about my age if I was human, with dark hair and dark eyes with a tent of hazel, maybe Indo-Irish descent. “Wilhelm Samuels.” “He has The Sun that he received as a birthday gift 12-months ago. And he’s deactivated it. Gallo’s already down there, as a transfer student to Willow Grove High School. He goes by this angel name and human last name Hallows.” “I had a feeling that’s where he’s been,” I muttered to myself. “Okay, when do I leave, father?” I spoke up clearly. “The human has The Sun, but we need the code to find the High Tide. When you find the High Tide, you’re to destroy The Sun. I will give you instructions when you find The Sun and the human,” dad spoke. “How do I destroy The Sun? Is the code alone the destroyer?” I asked, taking a step towards my father. “Does the human kill The Sun?” Dad stepped off his stand, and out reached his white wings wide and glidded towards me. He stood three inches taller than me and placed a hand on my shoulder. “When you find the human, you will find the encrypted code. The code is a riddle that must be broken. Hylectra is known for hiding things in plain sight, and this is a mission that I chose to put you on because of your multiple talents.” “Does that include my strategies?” Dad nodded. “You leave as soon in fifteen minutes. You do remember your training, yes?” “Of course,” I spoke. “But dad you do realize it’ll take us almost three and a half days worth to get to Earth’s galaxy and plus nine hours to get to Earth itself?” “I do realize that, Trend, and that’s why you’re the leader of your siblings and soon our home’s last hope, your talents are what we need to heal our planet,” dad said. “Your mother and I know your true nature, it’s strong, just like my mother’s and her mother before her. You find him, track down your brother and he’ll lead you to the human. Good luck, my Daughter.” Dad pulled me into his broad chest, and I inhaled his scent. The feathers and warmth of his wings tickled my arms. He placed a kiss on my head before breaking the hug and my mom pulled me to her chest. As you call tell that my parents adore their children because they could never conceive after Hex was born. So, basically I guess you can say that me, Montell and Zathura were miracle babies, although we’re a year part–Zathura and us. I refused to argue with my parents and made my way to my room in the upper parts of the metal and glass house that I live in with my siblings. All though we’re all adults here, we refuse to separate from each other. The house is wide and expands to about 15-feet high and wide with silver walls and bronze flooring, our planets uniform. I walked into the kitchen and found my twin sister Montell sitting at the table eating a bowl of cereal. Montell has long red hair and light brown eyes and wears our planets uniform proudly, her specialty is designing our weapons. Montell is my older sister by two minutes; we’re extremely close but closer to our little sister Zathura, named after our mother’s planet. Montell looked up from her bowl and her brown eyes smiled at me, returning it, I sat beside her. “Hay, womb-mate, how are you?” she said chewing the ice crystals in the glass bowl. “Dad wants me to leave for planet Earth, and he wants all of the Angels to come with me,” I said. “Turns out Gallo is on Earth as well posing like a human.” “Seriously?” Montell said. “Am I the only one who gets late news? And besides isn’t like 2 galaxies away from here?” Montell finished her cereal and placed it in the bolding hood. Steam filled the bowl and Montell placed it on the glass stand. “That’s Pandora not us and I guess, we both are the late news reporters,” I said. “Dad wants us to leave as soon as possible. You do remember our training, right?” “We practically came out of the womb training,” Montell said leaning on the table. “And besides, it’s about time we leave this hell hole.” “Yeah, and this hell hole happens to be our home,” I corrected her. Montell rolled her eyes. Watching my identical twin sister was like looking at the reflection map, the same face, same everything, just different colored hair. While I’m the only girl with dark hair and light brown eyes, Gallo is the only boy with dark hair and dark eyes. Montell is honestly the only sibling I’d choose from the rest of our siblings; Zathura? Maybe, but even time will change. “Come on, let’s go find the others and get ready to lift off,” Montell said jerking her head forward to follow her. I followed Montell to the family room where the rest of my siblings sat waiting for us. Oracle, Hex, Connor, and Zathura. The only person missing was Gallo and he’s on Earth. Connor is the second Angel, the second big brother with shoulder length blue hair and yellow eyes, taller than almost all of us and specialized in healing, he’s our planet’s Healer, but since we have countless more than the Healing Kinds on our planet, Connor’s our Healer, and the only boy who can see through other Angels’ eyes and possibly the human eyes. Oracle is the third Angel with long blonde hair, blue eyes from our father, medium height with white feathered wings like we all do. She’s the first female Angel from our mother and father’s side. Oracles is specialized in technology, our technology and finished first place with learning human’s technology. Helena or Hex is the girly girl with long silver hair and green eyes. She’s my height like my sisters Zathura, Montell, and Oracle. Hex’s specialty is Transforming and like our mother she can turn into a human or any Warrior Angel on our planet. Zathura our youngest sister, has purple hair and eyes and her specialty is possession. She can possess a human or an Angel with her mind. Her talent is very rare, especially for females and she keeps her talent hidden from the planet and uses her technology skills as her prior advantage. “Did you guys get dad’s message?” I asked standing side by side with Montell. Connor nodded eating a banana. Connor climbed over the fluff bed and sat beside Zathura. “Yup, and we’re ready when you are,” Connor said. “Dad said The Sun’s with the Human, who leaves a dangerous object with Humans?” “Humans,” Oracle responded. “I read up on him and he’s a hottie.” “And what makes you think he’ll like you?” Hex said flatly. “Because I’m easy on the eyes,” Oracle said. Hex rolled her eyes and sighed. Our eyes locked. “Why do we even have to go together? I mean goody-two shoes can just go and do the mission and comeback unharmed,” Hex said. Connor agreed and wrinkled his face. “Because, unfortunately, dad put me in charge of the group and now that we’re all here and fueled, can we leave? I want to track down this artifact before Cybord does,” I said. “Yeah, as soon as we find out where this Human lives,” Oracle said sliding her hologram screen in her hand across with a finger. “Trend and Monty have the coordinates,” Zathura said eyeing Oracle. Oracle closed her hologram and expanded her wings. Something she does when she’s embarrassed. “Okay, let’s go. I’ve been dying to see Earth since we learned about it,” Oracle said balancing herself on her crystal ball, meditating herself. The ball below her vanished with a popping sound and Oracle did a backflip and landed on her feet. Ignoring the flipping Angel we moved in swift movements to the front of our home.  We boarded the leaving dock and lined up. Our parents met us at the outing house. Mom and Dad gave us smiling faces, their sign for lift off. Looking at my parents, and then to my siblings, I nodded and Oracle was first to lift off. We dove in line before auto-jumping into the atmosphere. The freezing below negative zero temperature in outer space felt lovely to my angel skin. I counted my siblings to myself and all five of us were here, including myself. The stars and planets flew passed us in a blur but we could make out every detail, speck of dust and other creatures on the surface. I looked behind me and Empire lied full circle behind us. The coral red and ocean blue and green sparkle watching her depart from its atmosphere. Almost like it was saying, “may we meet again?”
