Kaitlyn’s Point of View: "I can't do this," I all but scream at my best friend Claire. "Yes, you can," she says calmly. "No, I can't," I shout. "If you don't do this, I'll never speak to you again," she says leaving me with a shock expression on my face. I can't believe she's emotionally blackmailing me. "Fine," I say through gritted teeth "I'll do it" She squealed and turned around to give me a suffocating hug. "I can't breathe," I gasped out. "Sorry," she said smiling sheepishly at me. Obviously, she's hiding something else. "Claire if there's something else you better tell me right now" "well…" she starts "Oh, just spit it out Claire," I say getting exasperated. "Well I kind of promised them that you'll sing like I'm gonna lose you by Meghan Trainor" I can't believe this; she knows how much I hate this song. It always reminds me of Ryan - my ex. But if I can sing this song without crying maybe I can give myself proof that I am completely over him. Taking a deep breath, I face Claire. "I'll do it," I say. She squeals even louder this time almost deafening me. "Never do this to me again ", I whisper pulling her into a tight hug. I quickly leave to go grab a microphone before facing the guests of my best friend's sister's wedding. I see Chloe, Claire's sister smile at me before she tugs on her new husband's arm for their first dance. I don't bother to introduce myself and just start singing. Kyle's Point of View: I scanned the crowd and sighed in relief when I didn’t see Britney- my date for this wedding. Believe me when I say I'm no fan of weddings but when your most profitable client decides to get married, you make room for the occasion. My name is Kyle Spencer and I am a blue-eyed, short black hair and 6 feet, tall billionaire. I don't believe in love ever since I got cheated on, now the longest I date a girl for is about 3 weeks. I am pulled out of my thoughts when I see Britney heading in my direction. I quickly duck behind the water fountain, luckily, she didn't see me. I stand up and begin looking for Claire to ask her where her brother in law is. I see her talking to a brunette and I become completely and utterly amazed when she turns around. Beautiful. That's the first word that comes to mind when I see her angelic face. I am so in awe that I watch her every move. She looks at Chloe and her husband Justin before she lifts her hand with the microphone up to her lips and starts to sing. She sounds amazing, her soft high voice blends well with the sweet lyrics of the song. I stand there just listening to her feeling full of pride at how she sounds. I find myself memorizing the last three lines of this song because of how much emotion she pours out while singing. I start to follow her having this sudden urge to talk to her and hear her voice. She must have sensed me following her because she stops walking and turns to face me. My breath catches in my throat, she's even more beautiful up close. "Hi," I say extending my hand to her, she hesitates but places her hand in mind. Soft, I thought her hand is so soft. "I'm Kyle, Kyle Spencer" she freezes when I say this and pulls her hand from my grasp. I am shocked by her response "and I'm not interested" with that she left me stunned and in utter disbelief. I watch her walk away with only one thought on my mind. I have to get her attention somehow.
