I keep seeing the same thing on the front page of any newspaper. “Soul Eater Strikes Again,” “Soul Eater Seen.” If not those, anything similar at least. It started just last Thursday and has been ringing since, there’s another murder tonight. And I can’t help but be curious because that’s what I am. I doubt there’s really some sort of creepy creature in our city. It’s certainly a person skilled with tricks. Maybe they have a device that makes them fly or float mid-air, and they cover themselves with pieces of dirty black rags or some clothing to make them seem like unearthly creature. It is hard to see if it is mere cloth at night, and I think that’s why they attack at such time. The only problem is they’re quick, for sure. Because if not, they’ll be long ago caught by the police. Autopsies also reveal no sign of poison. The victims are not physically bruised or wounded, aside from the damages they took from collapsing. Some witnesses say the one who died last week just drop while in the middle of talking and they look around to see the “soul eater” above them. And then the culprit flies, like a ghost. Tonight, also Thursday, an office worker was heard screaming and when the guard turned to look, she was lying on the ground with not much energy, and the said to be “soul eater” was above her. The guard suddenly ran for help and was questioned after they announced the victim dead. What gets me curious is how they do the murder without damage. Maybe the actual culprit is someone near them at the time of the crimes, and the “soul eater” is only a projection to make people around think that it’s the culprit. Officer A wants me to take a look at the crime scenes once more. Because if this murderer plans to do their spree on a regular basis, then, it’s about to attack again next week.
