Amongst Us

 I only looked away for a moment .......... But when I looked back, it was gone. My eyes scanned the dark classroom , The bloody heads of my classmates stared back at me. I knew something was there with me, I could feel it's cold clammy body in front of me . I jumped and let out a loud shriek as a cold hand reached out for mine. Wind howled outside the rattling windows . I shrank back in the corner of the rusty desk table. Lightening cracked the sky into pieces and temporarily lit up the large room . In a few seconds a large bloody skull jumped at me _ cackling . I screamed and ran to the door, ponding my fist on the barred windows . 'Let me out !!! ' I shrieked, it coming out to get me !!'. But there was no one , not even a soul was was there to help me. But whoever or whatever was there was still with me . Rain poured down and dripped down the window and leaked from the ceiling. ' Drip . Drip . Drip '. I continued to fumble around helplessly in the dark classroom . I took a sneak peek outside but the sight of the smashed window left me stunned.what could have done that ? All I can think about is the creature I was stuck with, lightening smashes, thunder crashes and a cold shiver shoots up my spine.The water leaks on ' drip . drip . drip '. If only there was a way to escape this haunted place , what would happen if you don't get out of here . Would I be killed or would I be alive . If I did die would I be remembered ? Or would I be forgotten ? I shook my hair lightly . I needed to focus on how to escape and not my end . Something cold dripped through as I quickly shivered . How could it go through me ? The creature came closer, I could see the black hole where it's eyes were meant to be , it's jagged teeth as sharp as razor blades . It opened it's mutilated mouth and stuck a fork tongue out . I slammed my hands to the back of my head as I screamed till my throat was hoarse . " Time to go home " It hissed gleefully, His voice was cracked and every word he said sounded very eerie . I was facing my grandmother, I wasn't in a haunted classroom , there was no thunder or dark clouds, or a ruthless killer . I turned around to leave when something caught my eye . A black apparition in the dark classroom , and the huge window was shattered ............. ### I opened my eyes, the cold sweat was all over my body. this was the fifth time I had this kind of Nightmare since I moved into my grandmother's home. My parent were rich and always busy so they dropped me of in my grandmother's house . I shrugged off all the thoughts of my horrible Nightmares as a smile lit up my face . Today I was going to start a new school here in china , I was lucky that a school decided to accept me , because no school wanted to accept a student in the middle of the term . I quickly raced to the bathroom and took a shower and wore some clothes and ran downstairs heading for the door ... " Shaoyan !! where are you going without eating some food first ?! " My grip on the door reduced as I turned to face my grandmother, I was sure she was pissed off_ she easily gets pissed of . " Grandma you know I didn't want you to work so hard to get food ready so I decided to leave so you could rest a little " I said trying to ease the situation with a little boot licking. " I told you start calling me Aunty! Or don't I look young to you, and who said I was the one cooking _ get your rich excited ass in the kitchen !! " She started ranting and mumbling calling the attention of some neighbours . " Of course you are young ....ehmm...Aunty _even younger than my birth mother ...." as expected boot licking was the only way out of this she even forgot about the breakfast incident and started heading upstairs . " Grandma I'm leaving " I said bolting to the door knob . " Shaoyan don't forget to thank the teacher!!......... For taking you in this time of the year!! ". A/N : Chen Shaoyan is Zack Croyer's Chinese name " Got it pretty Aunty " I said as I quickly bolted out of the door, racing my way to the new school . Since I moved to my grandparents house in zhengde for the time being, the college entrance exams were around the corner , so it was quite hard to transfer to a new school . But My grandma got a call from No. 2 highschool requesting for me to join an experimental class, well what could I say _ luck was on my side. ### I dodged the motorcycle as I reached the other side of the street and entered the school building. The walls were cracked and old, which proved my guess right this school was very ancient . I ignored all those thoughts along with the stares the girls were giving me and hurried to the staircase to find the head teacher of the school_Mr Li . I knocked on the door and opened the door slightly the door was old and cranky so it made a creaking sound,I still can't believe a rich kid like me was attending this kind of school , but I had no choice whatsoever . The man on the chair had slightly silver hair , pale skin and dark soulless eyes that reminded me of the bloody skull I always see in my dreams infact he didn't look Asian at all. I didn't like the feeling I get from beign in his presence so I spoke up first . " Excuse me sir , are you Mr Li " i asked with all the courage I previously built up .The man on the chair just tilted the table slightly and gave a very dangerous smile . "You must be Zack Croyer , I am Mr Li your future head-teacher " . His voice gave me an eerie feeling that made me feel like fleeing . He then stood up from his chair and held my shoulder and whispered in my ear " Chen shoayan you made the right decision by joining Class 5E............... come on I would take you to your classroom" . Now the fear in my heart has increased by hundred folds ' How does he even know my Chinese name?, It is not even in my birth certificate my grandpa gave me that name _ just how ?!! ' The voices in my head continued screaming . Mr Li continued to lead me around. Since the classes started from Class 6F why does it feel like Class 5E is so far away? " Here we are " Mr Li's eerie voice sounded again. He grabbed my hand and held me tightly and led me into the classroom . " Everyone here is your new classmate, Zack Croyer , I hope you all get along " I didn't like the way he sounded _ it was as if he was hosting a challenge . " What " " A new classmate " " Why? " The mumurs of all the people in the class got into my ears. I turned around to study their faces. some were filled with anger, some with fear and others with pity_what is up with their weird reactions, it made me feel so strange . " Oh yes Zheng yihan come out " Mr Li said pointing to the boy in the front seat . " What ! Why me sir ? It was Zhaung lengjun that disobeyed the rules the most this month, I am sorry Mr Li I promise I would never do this kind of thing again No! No !! No I am not going" he knelt on the floor and started sobbing on the floor. Mr Li gave him a knowing look and dragged him of the floor . " Zack Croyer take Zheng Yihan seat by the window " Mr Li said as he flashed a deadly smile to me . " But where would Zheng Yihan sit, teacher " I asked looking at the boy beign held by Mr Li pitifully . " You won't have to worry about him anymore from today on _ oh! And here is the class rule booklet " Mr Li said as he threw me a price of paper . I don't know why I felt very strange about this class, and what did Mr Li mean by I won't have to worry about him anymore. I carried my bag and sat next to a chubby boy with curly long black strands of hair, he was lying on the desk sleeping . Mr Li then left with Zheng yihan . Then the boy that was sleeping stood up from the desk and turned to me and gave me a deadly smile . " Now that you know nothing about here, you better leave " he said as the smile left his face and he went back to school. What's with the huge pile of negativity in this class . I shrugged of his warning and opened the rules. *All students must join the class forum and participate in all ' events ' in the forum or he/she would be EXPELLED* *All students in Class 5E must not participate in sporting activities or any other events held by the school or he/she would be EXPELLED * *All class 5E students must not talk to other students of other classes or he/she would be EXPELLED * *Any student that break the most rules before another student joins the class would be EXPELLED * *The class Monitor for class 5E is given 3 lives* * This class rules book must not be seen by anyone except YOU or YOU WOULD BE EXPELLED* *Only the ears in here shall hear what happens in here * What's up with the harsh rules, and why does it sound like expulsion is a death sentence . And why must no one see the class rules .The fear from my previous Nightmare started coming back because of the last rule _ what really happens here ? . As I was busy thinking about the school rules and my previous Nightmare I unconsciously turned to the window side and almost jumped away in fright ....... The huge window by my side was broken ...... Was this some kind of prank ? ........
