The Experimented Mate

Astrids POV It's almost time, he'll be here soon I thought to myself. I paced my room that I had lived in for my whole life. It was like your typical bed room, or at least what I would think a typical bed room would be. In reality it was more like a prison cell. I had a small bed with a toilet on the opposite side of the room with a sink. The mirror, if that's what you could call it, was more like dull aluminum stuck to the wall. Couldn't have anything that could become a weapon after all. Which honestly didn't make any sense considering that's what they were trying to make me. I had a clock that was laid into the wall so it couldn't be pulled out. As I waited for Caleb to arrive I thought about my whole life since I had been here. I was taken in by a man named Caleb. You see he had told me that a pack of rogues had attacked my parents and killed them. He fed me what I didn't know at the time were lies. Caleb told me when I turned eighteen because that's when his experiments started. He told me that I was a very strong werewolf because my mom and dad were Alpha's. He said that he had been the rogues who killed my parents for days. When he finally killed them he noticed that I was there. Caleb told me that he decided to take me in to train me. He taught me how to shift into my werewolf. Her name was Bella, Caleb said that her fur was all white. He helped me train so I could get stronger and faster. The first experiment he did was turning me into a shapeshifter. He said that would be the easiest since my blood was already used to shifting agents. Once I survived that he began my training as a shifter. He would show me videos of animals so I could get a sense of how they moved, and sounded. It was difficult at first but it eventually became easy. Then he started showing me picture of people and showed me videos as well that took longer to learn but eventually it worked. Thinking back on everything if I had known the truth I would have shifted into one of the guards and made an escape but I didn't know what I do now. The next experiment he infused me with Demon blood. This one gave me interesting powers I will say and definitely helped make things more interesting when I was alone in my bedroom. I had gained the abilities of teleportation, pyrokinesis, telekinesis, and premonition. It took a while to learn these new powers as well. Teleportation was easy because I was able to see where I was going. Caleb would help me train with the teleportation by playing Hide and Seek. I would teleport to a room in the facility we were in and he would have to come find me. Telekinesis was also easy because I could see the objects. Pyrokinesis was a little trickier to learn; at least I had to have a flame created already like from a lighter or a match but as time went I was able to create it out of thin air. I didn't know it at the time but I also had the power of premonitions so I could see flashes of the future or past just by touching someone or an object that had been around. However we'll get to that one later on. The third experiment was the one that turned into a complication. Caleb had me turned into a vampire. They would inject me with a dose of vampire blood then wait a few days to see if any changes had been made. They would bring UV lights and shine them on me to see if anything would happen. When nothing would, they would just inject me with more doses. Eventually they would shine the UV lights and my skins would start to burn and bubble. After that they started bringing me bags of blood to drink which I would have to do weekly for the rest of my now immortal life. Caleb stated that because of this now sunlight weakness I would need to have one final experiment. The final experiment was more to help cancel out the sunlight sensitivity than for any actual abilities. They infused me with Fairy blood. Caleb told me before the experiment that if Vampires had enough fairy blood they could walk in the daylight so that is why I was having this done. This is when my life as I knew it had changed. Caleb was walking me back to my room and we were discussing the day he found me. "Did you learn anything about my parents while you were tracking the rogues?" I had asked him. Caleb was silent for a while staring ahead as though he was thinking. I noticed he would do this a lot anytime I would ask him about that day. 'I wish I could just tell what he's thinking' I thought to myself. Sure enough that's all it took. Soon my head was flooded with his voice. 'Quick Caleb say something she can't know that I'm the one who actually killed them' He thought.
