Sinclair is a beautiful young bartender who has a thing for bad boys and bad girls. Sinclair has a best friend named Jess. Jess and Sinclair had known each other since grade school. They became best friends and throughout high school had become more than friends. Sinclair and Jess eventually split, but always stayed super close. No matter who the other person was dating, they still stayed friends with benefits. Jess was a bartender at the bar before Sinclair started working there. She knew the owner well and had him hire Sinclair when she turned 18 to work the grill during daytime hours, then once she turned 21, she became a bartender. After a year Jess quit the job and left Sinclair by herself. Her life is turned around after she meets Joey. A quiet, conservative young guy with a bad streak.

At first, Joey is everything that she could ever want but after being with Joey for 2 years he starts to change. Sinclair and Joey decide they want to spice up their relationship with Sinclair’s absolute best friend, Jess. After the threesome, Joey becomes violent. He starts to stalk her, watching every move she makes. After getting sick of the abuse, Sinclair finally gets enough courage to leave Joey and finds herself in a domestic violence shelter for women. Sinclair chooses to stay at the bar and continue working, she quickly realizes that it was a big mistake. Joey starts harassing her, following her around, and eventually, it gets even worse.

Now with Joey harassing her at work, following her every move, and making threats to her, she decides that it was time to leave the bar and make a new life for herself after multiple failed attempts to have him arrested.

Angel, Sinclair's sister finds out that she is at the shelter and asks Sinclair to come to stay at her beach house and take care of it while she is on a business trip for a few months. She makes Sinclair an offer that she can't refuse, free housing and payment for taking care of her home. Little does Sinclair know that her life is about to be turned upside down after she meets Angel's handyman Ryker who just so happens to be a werewolf who is into bondage.

Chapter One
Joey has been a pain in my ass for so long. We got together too soon, and too fast. In the beginning, he treated me like a queen. I felt like I was on top of the world. No one had ever treated me the way that he did. He did all the right things, and I fell in love with him surprisingly fast. Boy did that quickly change. After so many failed relationships, I truly believed that he was the one that I was meant to be with for the rest of my life.      I met Joey when I was working at a local bar. He was a tattoo artist that worked next door. Tonight was his first night at the tattoo shop. He had just gotten off work and came into the bar. I was a bartender; he came in with a few friends. They were all tattoo artists from the look of it. They were all so loud and obnoxious, but not Joey. He was quiet, just seemed to keep to himself. That’s what I liked about him. He caught my eye, he didn't look like the rest of the slobs that came into the bar every day. He wasn't throwing himself at me before I even had a chance to talk. It was hard for people to catch my eye, but no for him. Not that I had high standards but I worked at a bar for God-sakes. I had to watch out for myself, especially here. There were a lot of drunken men that would throw themselves at me. Some of them would try to grab my ass when I would walk by. Others would try to grab my t**s, one man stuck his hand in my bra and felt up my breasts. He said that it made his d**k hard. I was disgusted. Most of the men would say vulgar things to me. At first, I would let it get to me. I felt like I was just some object. It wasn't like I dressed like a slut or anything. I had to remember though that these men were drunk and people do stupid things when they are drunk. Not that it is an excuse but that's how I looked at it, just to get through my day. Now, I just pass by them and just ignore them unless they touch me. Then I warn them, if they continue, I get the bouncers to throw them out.      Anyway, back to Joey. There he was sitting at the end of the bar with all of his friends. Two other males, and two other females. One of the females was flirting with Joey, but he just kept pushing her off. As I looked to the end of the bar, I noticed him staring at me. I just looked and smiled. It wasn't unusual, it happens. I made my way to the counter and I asked them what they would like to drink. The two girls asked for Margaritas, the two men asked for Bud light beers and then Joey asked for Fireball. He was a man after my own heart. His other friends jumped up to play music on the Jukebox and started dancing while Joey sat there in silence.      I was working a double shift that day. I started at 10 am, at that time it wasn't busy, I got off and got off at 6 pm, I had enough time to grab something to eat and then my next shift, 7 pm until 2 am started. I had a long night ahead of me. It was only after 9 pm. I was happy though I was off work the next day and I had a break coming up soon, only a few more hours left of work.      It was almost my break time and Joey was still sitting there at the end of the bar by himself with his hands under his chin staring at the tv screen. He looked incredibly bored. "Hey, you look like you are having loads of fun," I said sarcastically. He smiled at me. "I don't know anyone. I just started working at the tattoo parlor next door, and these people that I'm here with just invited me to come and have some drinks with them tonight. I just thought what the hell, but now I'm wondering what the hell I was thinking." said Joey. "I'm guessing not the type of people that you normally hang out with I take it," I said. Joey just shook his head no and looked back up at the tv screen. I walked away to help some customers with their drinks before my manager came over and told me to go ahead and take my break.      "Hey look, I don't usually do this, but would you like to accompany me to one of the empty booths for some wings and a drink or 3?" I laughed. It didn't take long for him to answer, "As long as it's hot wings and Fireball!" he laughed. "You got it," I said with a grin. Alonzo was our cook, he had been at the bar for a long time. He knew exactly how I liked my wings and had them ready for me when it was time for a break. "I can eat all of these by myself, but, I guess I couldn't be willing to share with you. Unless you want some of your own." I laughed. Joey shook his head, "No, this is okay, we can share." It was hard to get Joey to talk to me. He had me fooled to think that he was this quiet, sweet guy. I fell for it big time.      We sat there my entire break, talking to one another. "So tell me about yourself," I asked. "I'm from Georgia originally. I moved here 2 months ago. My mom lives here in the city, and she has my daughter. I've been trying to get back on my feet after my ex left me for another man. She left our daughter here and never looked back. I was a tattoo artist there too, and a damn good one. I made decent money tattooing but my daughter is more important than what I was making there. So I moved here to be with her, to make sure that my daughter is taken care of and to also make sure my mother is taken care of too." said Joey. "Wow, I hate that your ex did that to you. At least she is in good hands, and it shows how great you must be as a father to move back here to take care of her." I'm sure your mom appreciates it." I said. "My mom is a hard-ass. She won't give me custody of my daughter because of some of my past mistakes. I am trying my hardest to be the best dad that I can be. I have made some bad decisions in my life, but I am a changed man. That's why I am here, to prove that to my mother." said Joey. Joey then took a shot of Fireball and started eating his wings. "So, enough about me. We need to save some information for another date," he smirked. "Oh, so you're planning on dates now?" I asked. "Well yeah, if you'd let me take you on one." I had the biggest smile on my face. "Why the hell not?" I said. I wrote my number down on a napkin, Joey stuck the napkin in his pocket. He then got up out of the booth, and says, "Well, umm, what is your name?" he says embarrassingly. "It's on the napkin" I whispered. He pulls the napkin out of his pocket and takes a look. "Oh, well it was nice meeting you, Sinclair. It looks like your break is up, and I have to head home," he said. I looked over and my manager is waving at me to come back to work. Joey hugged me, and damn did he smell good. "Call me, if you'd like," I said.
