Anthony Brown is the handsome, unmated Alpha of the Corazon Pack. A perfectionist workaholic to the core, he spends less time on himself or his leisure and more time on ensuring the prosperity and protection of his pack.

One day, he is dragged out to the club by his Beta, Damien Axel. There, he meets Sasha Flair, an unrepentant Rogue so dangerous and ruthless, that she lives in the nightmares of so many packs. On the two of them meeting, they are both thrown for a loop when they discover they are each other’s mates. This revelation shakes both of their worlds, as it seems their love is fated to destroy all that they have believed in.

Can their love persist, when the Rogue he is mated to, is the same woman who killed his parents?

Chapter 1
Anthony flipped the papers in his desk frantically, trying to discover where the error in his calculations had stemmed from. He had directed his Gamma the day before to uniformly allocate the resources to his pack, but the girl had come back hours later saying there was a mistake with the figures. He ran a hand through his now messy hair and continued to scan the documents, his eyes darting slowly across the figures with so much focus that he didn't hear his door swing open. It was only when the people who had walked inside the room knocked their hands on his work table that he raised his head to look at them. His beta and also his best friend, Damien, was standing above him with a small frown on his face. The guy looked between the papers on Anthony's desk and the clock beside the table, and shook his head. "Tony, why are you still here?" Anthony gave him a quizzical expression, impatiently twirling the pen in his hand between his fingers. "Where else would I be?" He asked, just noticing his friend's polished look with a black suit on and nearly gelled hair. Damien's hair was never arranged, and he raised a brow. "And why are you wearing a suit?" "Really? Don't tell you've forgotten…Oh s**t! You have," the guy responded and glanced at his wristwatch, checking the time again. Anthony was still lost for words, so he bent down to look at his papers once more. "Forgotten what?" "Torero's wedding, Anthony. Did you forget that it's today and we're supposed to be there in...three hours?" Anthony nearly jumped out of his chair at that second, but he relaxed and out his own down as he opened his phone and checked the calendar. "s**t, s**t. I actually forgot that it's today. It's this resource allocation, Damien. I'm having trouble with it," he complained and leaned back on his chair, unbuttoning the black shirt he was wearing. "I don't want last year's issue to happen again, but this is giving me a tough time." Damien clicked his tongue and shook his head once. "Dude, you should have told me. I'd have helped you out with settling this." He moved away from the table and went across the room, where a plain black suit identical to his was hanging on a rack. "We'll settle it together once we get back, but for now, dress up so we can go to the wedding." Anthony sighed loudly. "Can't you go? I'm already–" "No offence, Tony, but not today. You can't devote your whole life into work. For today, be there for your friend." He brought the suit and placed it on Anthony's desk. "I'll come again, so be ready in twenty. Corazon Pack will be fine." At that, he walked out of the room humming softly to himself. Anthony shook his head after a moment and got out of his chair, picking up his suit as he began to get ready. True to his word, Damien went back to the Alpha's office after twenty minutes and was pleased to find his best friend already dressed for the wedding. The both of them wore matching outfits, with the only difference being Anthony's blue tie while his was black. Damien shook his head once as both of them stepped out of the pack house. He had been tasked with he role of making sure Anthony appeared for the wedding, given that he was the best man and everyone knew of his workaholic status. They got into the car designated for the both of them and within a few hours, in which Anthony was still working on his phone, they were at River-falls Pack. The whole place was decorated in different hues of blue, the pack members all wearing happy smiles as they dashed up and down between houses trying to make the final touches to the celebration. Damien and his Alpha watched as everything happened, and soon the happy mood began to rub off on the both of them. Finally they got to the wedding venue, and stepped out of the Range Rover. The clearing was a designated area every pack had specifically for celebration of weddings, burials, baby dedications. Now it was beautifully decorated with flowers at both sides and bright patches of land, along with hundreds of chairs across the open space. Torero and his soon-to-be Luna had invited packs from all over the district, and Anthony knew that the place would soon be filled with people. Not his favourite scene. Still, he sighed and stepped forward behind Damien who was already greeting the people already present. He made a few greetings as well, his eyes instantly scanning the place for the groom. He saw his friend, and tapped his beta as they grinned widely and approached Torero. "Hey man. Congrats!" Damien clapped him on the shoulder and gave him a one arm hug, and Anthony did the same. Torero chuckled nervously, continously rearranging his cufflinks and his tie as he pointed at his fellow Alpha. "You were able to drag this work crazed being here, Damien?" He asked and the guy chuckled and nodded his head, looking proud of his achievement. Anthony just shrugged at their slight jab in response and Torero sighed just as another of their friends, Michael walked up to join them. "Guys, I'm getting married in a few minutes. I still can't believe it," he said with a reduced voice, as he led them to the front of the chairs, where the officiating priest was standing with a small smile on his face. "You'd better, Torero. You're about to officially become one with your mate, an start a new life with her as Luna. You should be happy," Anthony responded and patted the guy on his shoulder twice. He was overly happy for his friend, even though his face didn't show it. Getting married to the love of his life, his mate would be a thing of joy. The groom nodded and wrung his hands together as his bride appeared. She was dressed in a simple well fitted gown, and Anthony looked at his friend just in time to see him wiping a tear out of his eyes. Torero was hopelessly and completely in love. The ceremony started immediately the bride reached her groom and they held hands. There was a brief moment of sermon, which Anthony enjoyed before the exchange of vows began. At that point, he remembered that he hadn't checked for the rings before leaving his house and a knot formed in his stomach. Quickly, he patted his pockets and let out a sigh of relief when he felt them and he handed them over to his friend. After the wedding ceremony, everyone went to the hall just a few metres away from the clearing for the reception. The best man and maid of honour were called to give their toasts, and Anthony delivered his with ease, throwing in a few jokes along the way. Luckily, they were replied with laughs from the crowd, and a wave of relief washed through him at the hours he had dedicated to perfecting the speech. Afterwards, he went to join his friends with a small bead of sweat forming on his forehead. They congratulated him for the speech and continued to make small talk, till the conversation moved into their mates. Anthony looked at them.with a blank stare as they shared stories about their wives till Michael looked at him curiously. "Any luck with your search, Anthony?" He asked, while the others turned to them as well and he shook his head. He had been searching for his mate for years without any luck and at twenty-nine, the elders of the pack were beginning to breathe down on his neck. "I'm sure you will soon," the guy responded and shook Anthony lightly, a smile on his face but he didn't return it. "Come on. You know what? Let's hit the club," Torero suggested, and the rest of him turned to him with an incredulous look. Of all the places… "On your wedding night? I don't think so," Anthony declined, but Damien wrapped a hand around his shoulder and pulled him a bit. "Besides what will your wife think?" The groom shrugged and pointed to where his bride was a feet away, drinking rapidly from a shot glass as she bobbed her head to the music, surrounded by her bridesmaids. "She suggested it, so she has no problem with it. She's just as wild as us, you know so let's go." Michael cheered loudly and clapped Torero's back. "If your wife is game, then I am. Besides, maybe Anthony will find his mate there," he joked but the Alpha looked at him with a frown. "My mate in a club? Highly unlikely." Anthony had lost his love for night parties and alcohol years ago, when he realized just how good of a person he had to become as the Aloha so his pack members could emulate him. He almost started to protest again , but when he looked at his trio of friends, they were all looking at him with expectant faces and he sighed in defeat. "Fine, let's go." The guys cheered again, and Torero quickly excused himself to inform his wife of their plans. They watched with anticipation and a bit of shock as the woman nodded her head and gave him a sloppy kiss before she returned to dancing wildly with her friends. "Time to party!" He exclaimed when he got back to their table, and all of them, except Anthony, whooped loudly in response as they stepped out of the hall and into Torero's car.
