Hidden Hybrid Angel

I was driving my car way back home when my phone sounded. I looked at the guests call, and it was my sweet Daniel; I felt a thrill shot through my nerves because I was expecting he’s eager to celebrate our time simultaneously. I then glided the green button to answer my sweet Daniel. “Hello, love?” “Love, I’m so sorry that I can’t make it now on our anniversary.” He declared in an unusually gruff tone, which drove me to think weirdly. “Why? What’s wrong?” I asked, prepared to listen to his reason. I mean I am not that heavy to talk about some necessary things if it requires a rush appointment setting, what I most cherish about is his arrangements than mine because I know we can easily set up to another time.  “They sent grandma to the emergency room, I need to see mom and dad.” He said. “Oh, okay take care okay? maybe I’ll go visit tomorrow.”  “No, love it’s all right, I mean she’ll be okay soon, no need to worry yourself.”  I smiled because of what he asserted, Daniel was so thoughtful.  “No problem, message me all right? I love you.”  “No problem, bye.”  Then he hangs up without even acknowledging my affection towards him. I didn’t care for it yet because he was in an emergency, and besides, maybe tomorrow he’ll beat me to something to catch up on our anniversary.  Daniel was a decent boyfriend of mine since I was a kid and he is a reasonable man a finished package deal for an ideal man, never once he blew my heart and made me cry that’s why in all cases I always understand him even if it has the minor concerns to do.  Once I got home, I immediately went to my bed and took a rest. I was so tired from the hospital, there were so many patients that I need to entertain and most of them are in serious condition.  Well, so you know I am a surgeon doctor in Sacred Hospital here in Lost Angeles that specializes in cardio, it has been three years that I’m in service at twenty-one though they said that my job is hard but it wasn’t for me because I love what I do; I love helping people at all times, especially when I heal them. I had a very dark awful history when I was a child and my parents left me, Daniel and I grew up in an orphanage that didn’t even treat us well even though they receive a lot from the government. Since when we’re young Daniel kept me to believe that we will have a wonderful future together and that we both will live happily.  He learned so many things for us to escape from that orphanage, but it wasn’t easy since we didn’t know much from before. Until an accident happened, the orphanage caught fire that gave us a chance to get out of that miserable place.  They left nothing on me except my parent’s picture together with me. I hoped that before I get out, I would find them, but to my dismay, I didn’t.  Daniel and I lived in the streets to beg and find something to fill our empty stomach, but one day someone gave us help and had me and Daniel adopted to a different beautiful and good family.  I never saw Daniel after that until high school came and he noticed me, at first I wasn’t really into him but he made me fell in love with him that made me cherish him more and more.  Now Daniel is a well-defined lawyer while I became an excellent doctor. We both help poor and homeless people get into their selves as we both know how difficult it is to live in the streets with nothing in your hand every day. That is why I trust Daniel so much because we knew each other from the beginning and hopefully one day when we’re ready to settle. We will get married and have many respectful children to please and protect from awful people.  After having a good rest I changed my clothes and went to the kitchen to get something to eat but when I opened my fridge, I saw nothing even a small banana to eat.  I forgot to go shopping! Grabbing my jacket, I took my keys and went to the nearest supersmart.  On the way there, I noticed that the lights were off and it’s creepy to drive alone in the streets of Lost Angeles. I ignored the feeling and instead turned my music on, singing with Avril’s Lavigne’s new song “Birdie” “Like a bird locked up in a cage called love” “He caught her wings when she was born to fly” “He said “A pretty bird, you can’t sing” “But I buy you diamonds and ruby rings, Like a bird locked up in a cage And how can I escape in this place And go higher, higher?” “How can I avoid the flames, From your fire, fire?” “And oh, you can’t hold me down, no Oh, you can’t pull me down” “So birdie fly away (higher, higher) So birdie fly away (higher, higher) So birdie fly away” I was enjoying the beat when suddenly I saw a man wearing a black cloak standing in the middle of the gloomy street facing towards me; I being cautious immediately beeped my horn and forced to hit the break. I am not so sure, but I saw how his eyes glow gold in the dark while he's covered in blood. Angry or not, I got worried if I could help him? So I took my seatbelt off and also my emergency tools, but when I was about to offer help, he already disappeared.  To be honest, I found it strange how my heart beat fast because of just a mere stranger.   Maybe it's partly because of the worrying shock that I bumped and injured a man.  However, one thing came across my mind. I never thought I might encounter the retold story of this town. Did I just saw and meet a lost Angel? Or am I just going insane? But whatever it is, I think I might not sleep well tonight.
