Girl With A Gun

I woke up to my alarm blaring. Honestly i am not even semi happy about school starting back. I already miss the hot summer days laying out by the pool with my girls. And sneaking out to go to rooftop parties drinking in more than just the moonlight. Its my last year of High School and it was hard to be excited about being a senior when i had my future baring down on me. I had to chose by graduation if i was going to collage or being groomed to take over the family business, Which i'm not sure running a hotel is for me then again is collage? I debate my future life decision laid out before me as i rinse the last of the conditioner from my hair. Mia will be taking over her mothers Fashion Company as soon as we graduate. Tori will be the best Dentist in Manhattan with her Masters after just five years. Yet here i am without an inkling as to what my future holds for me. Who am i supposed to be? I ask myself looking at my dripping reflection in the mirror. I feel average like I'm not destined to be anything grand in my life. I'm nothing special, my face is mostly acne free and my lips are more pouter than most. My figure isn't bad I wish my breast were larger, my butt firmer and who doesn't want to be skinnier. Honestly i didn't have anything going for me beside my nice height of 5"7 making heels an option and the green piercing orbs i have for eyes. My eyes are ringed in dark forest green and grow lighter and brighter as my irises move to connect with my pupils. They are the only feature I don't hate about myself the colors swirl to make so many greens like the color of a Meadow. Throwing my fluffy robe on i continue with my morning routine drying and styling my hair and making up my face, as i lined my lips with a mauvey nude a knock came on my door. "Miss Black", Sounded my maid from the hall. " Come in." I called back to her as i blotted my lips with a tissue. "Good Morning Miss Black, I have your pressed uniform and breakfast bagel." She said as she laid my uniform across my bed and placed the tray on my table center of the room. "Thank you Ally " I said as i unzipped the hanging bag and pulled the blue plaid skirt on over my black tights. "Are you nervous for the first day back?" she asked as she collected my laundry from the bathroom. I weighed her words for a moment as i buttoned up my white blouse leaving the top one open. "Not too nervous " I lied placing my blazer on and pulling my dark brunette hair out of the collar of my uniform. "You will be just fine Miss." placing her hand on my shoulder for reassurance. I loved Ally she really was an honest person, she has been working for my father for six years and she had a big part in raising me. My mother passed away when i was eleven and Ally was hired on shortly after. I am on only child and my father is usually busy so Ally was the only way for me to have any form of a family. She really has been there for it all. "Thanks Ally" I smiled at her and placed my hand on hers. "Hopefully dad isn't to hard on you today, we both know how he gets when he has a hard time getting a deal to close." I gave her an apologetic smile. "Nothing i can't handle" she smiled as she head out the door. Grabbing a couple bites off my bagel and slinging my bag over my shoulder i headed out of my room and down the stairs . "Good morning Miss Black" Adien the chauffeur announced from the large oak doors in the foyer. "Adien, anyway you could not take me to school and we could drive around anywhere else? I asked in a pleading voice . "Not likely Miss, your father gave me strict instructions to get you to school, and on time at that." He remind me as he motioned me out the door. The Lincoln was idle out front and as we reached it Adien opened the back door for me. I slid in to the backseat and buckled my seat belt. My mind started to wonder as we drove through the gate at the end of my driveway. Heading towards the city i realized my nervousness had increased its fluttering in my stomach. What if i didn't have any classes with Mia and Tori ? What if i didn't get any of the classes i requested? Ugh why did i have to start freaking out so close to arriving to school? We pull up across the street of the school massive steps lead up from the sidewalk into the front door. I watched as students moved around the campus some exiting vehicles others walking up the steps while some stood in groups mingling. My heart beat a little faster and the idea of whats to come. i mentally slapped myself, closed my eyes and took a few deep breaths. "Have a nice day Miss Black." Adien said looking at me in the rear view mirror. I took on last deep breath and gripped the door handle . Stepping out of the car I turned towards my destination. I can do this i said to myself, here we go i breathed as i stepped out to cross the street.
