A house filled with silence as soon as the door was closed.
I held my breath tightly, and thought about making some joke about Ian's family kicking themselves out of there to leave us alone, but nothing came out. As soon as he passed by my side, I thought he would stop in front of me, provoke me, and who knows, put an end to that agony. However, he just walked by my side and said absolutely nothing.
I saw him walk to the kitchen, and I forced my feet to do the same. As soon as I arrived there, my hands were sweating and my heart was almost in my mouth. I had so much to say. I had so much to ask. I had so much to try to understand.
