I remove the blanket carefully followed by the IV needle then step out of bed quietly. I did not want to wake Elizabeth but I needed the bathroom. I plant my leg carefully on the floor. It felt weird. It had been more than a day since I had to stand straight. I walk into the bathroom and after doing my business, I stood in front of the mirror. I looked like I got hit by a bus. Damn. I removed the elastic band in my hair and brush it out with my hands then put it in a loose, messy bun. I washed my face and then realize there were no towels.
