Chapter 30 - The Day (1)

1389 Words
There were only a few people left inside the Ceremony Hall, the Royal Family and the Ten Councils, all murmurings and whisperings about the thing that happened just an hour ago. They all gossip about the possibility of war and the unknown enemy who wants the Crown Prince died.  It’s not really unknown when people are speculating about the same person. Lord Valon. The double door suddenly opened with a loud bang, scaring everyone inside. Elleryn walks with a slow step but her glare directs straight to the King, few soldiers are about to stand in front of her way until Kyzen shouts at them. “Stay away!” one of the soldiers chooses to ignore his word, but Elleryn shows it to everyone, what would happen if you stand in front of her. With a click of a finger, he was sent to the right corner, collided with the wall and passed out immediately, Kyzen knows the soldier is still breathing, but Kyzen doesn’t want to witness his sister killing people. Everyone freezes, no one manages to move an inch, not that they can’t, they just won’t, afraid that the girl in the middle of the room will wipe out everyone if they so much move an inch. Ladon moves and stands in front of her, her breath becomes much calmer but her eyes and hair still have its electrifying blue color. “Qeera! Elleryn!” Ladon shouts, startling Elleryn, she listens anyway or Qeera wants to listen. “He didn’t listen, I was correct” Qeera or Elleryn hissed, glancing towards the King that's now stood up from his throne with raised chin and looked down at her, as if he wouldn’t get killed by her if he showed such a stance. But the way he flinches just now had diminished all his confident appearance, he is scared but he tries not to look like that, tried. “Qeera, look at me” Ladon snaps, her eyes now turn and look directly at her brother orbs, her dragon controlling her mind. “I know you can hear me, you can see” Ladon licks his own lips before he takes a deep breath and continues. “Then you should know what happens the minute you kill the King, what will happen to Ezana after you were sentenced to be hanged,” Ladon emphasized each word he said, intending to wake her up and take control of her own mind. And it works. Because she flinches at his words. Her eyes that have now turned electric blue, swirl back to their original color, but then Qeera still dominates her because it changs once again. “If you kill the King, no one will side with you, not even Qye, we will be seen as traitors unless you are killed as well. Do you realize what would happen to Ezana if you died? She will have to replace you, is that what you want?” Ladon is being cruel, but rational at the same time because what he points out is exactly as it is, an honest and pure situation that will unfold if she happens to hurt the King. And tears drip down from her left eyes at that moment. Hurt imminent within them.  “Then, I just have to kill each one of them,” Elleryn whispered, before she lifts her hand and about to send her own brother flying away, until a hand grasp her wrist and pull her into a hard chest, his scent hits her hard and it succeed in turning her still, everyone was astounded at the scene, they couldn’t believe the Crown Prince would do that. Ladon couldn’t believe it either, for she still has her barrier. But, how was he able to go through that and hold her like that? “I’m sorry,” Rydan whispered, rubbing soothing circles on her back, calming her immediately. “I don’t want you to regret afterward,” he continued. Elleryn was flustered, eyes flickering with confusion, her breath slowly turned calm and hair began to change back to its original color, she wanted to push him away but unknown force had rendered her still in place.  “Please return back, I need you,” Rydan whispered once again, this time with a lower voice, but everyone heard it since no one makes a sound. At that time, her barrier disappeared into thin air, her eyes have gone back to its usual color, and she sighs before she closes her eyes and passes out in his arms. Rydan lifted her within his arms and turned around, wanting her to rest inside her room. Leaving everyone agape But one person, smiling at the corner “It begins, huh?” he said.  • • ⊱∘────·❅·────∘⊰ • • Xalen stands still at the sight, the moment he comes out of the Ceremony Hall holding his dearest within his arm makes his blood boil in rage. How could he let this happen to her? He was about to confront the guy when he caught a glimpse of Ladon, Fabin, and Kyzen right behind. Fabin saw him first and he waved his hand frantically at him, who only smiled at the prince a little because his eyes were directed towards Lady of Qye. Rydan just walks away, still holding her tightly. Xalen grits his teeth, he is about to run after him when a hand on his shoulder stops his step. "Xalen, you better not," Ladon threatened. It's not a secret anymore, that Xalen pretty much has a readable face, and his face shows it all, how he wants to rip out the neck of that man and watch him wither under his feet. But Ladon stops him, which makes him only hissed. It's not the first time. Xalen showed no respect like this, but usually, it was one of their silly acts that started those hissed, not one stopping the other. "You should know better, that's The Crown Prince," this time Kyzen interjected, shaking his head in disbelief at Xalen before following his brother-in-law's step. Xalen eyes widen at Kyzen's words, while Ladon just nods in acknowledgment and pat his shoulder then walks away, Fabin shakes his head and sighs before following his two brothers. While Xalen stands in the middle of the hallway, clenching his finger into a fist.  • • ⊱∘────·❅·────∘⊰ • • 'You should wake up.' A soothing and soft melodious voice said. Elleryn couldn't figure out whose voice that was, she was standing in an all-white room without anyone else present, but she could hear the voice clearly.  As if that person is close by. "Who are you?" Elleryn chooses to ask since she knows right now she isn't in the real world. There's a high chance that a witch decides to get inside her head, or a fairy chanting a spell of hallucinations for her, but she can't be sure. It feels more like a dream. 'He is waiting.' Elleryn furrows her eyebrow, confuses splattered on her face, she takes a breath before she continues to ask. "Who? Who is waiting? And who are you?" Elleryn asked this time, wanting an answer instead of confusing statements from her. All of a sudden, Elleryn could feel an immense power right behind her. She was about to turn around and face the person, but her body doesn't allow this action, she can't move at all. 'I have various names, I would like to introduce myself but I know this isn't the time yet.' Elleryn breathes hitch, the power that she could feel right behind her, keeps increasing by seconds, Elleryn knows that creature isn't someone she can easily take down with her power. 'You should wake up, open the book and reveal the truth, find your place, stake your identity. Because you need to do it all before you can stand by his side.' Elleryn was about to ask what she meant by all that, but a blinding glow of light started surrounding her, she shut her eyes tightly, then a deafening ringing sound was heard, making her wince painfully. Before she was dragged into the real world.
