Prologue

“You will not inherit the throne! You are too evil to sit on such a pure throne!!!” A very annoying and depressing laughter rang in the room. Five men that wore black clothes surrounded a man adorned in royal regalia. They were pointing swords at the man. “Your majesty, shouldn’t you be worrying about your life, instead of who should sit on a throne?” one of the men said with a big smile. Even though he had smiles on his face, there was darkness in his eyes. Without saying more words, he drew his sword and slashed the emperor's throat. The emperor fell to the ground and the sceptre made a clanging sound. The man who had spoken looked at the man and squatted to look at him. “Don't worry, I will make sure that your beloved son is enslaved till he dies. I promise you that.” The dying man tried to speak but he couldn’t. His blood was watering the ground spreading all over the place. The man in black stepped on the blood and gave a stiff smile. He took the sceptre that was on the floor and smiled at it. The sceptre was the treasure he had come to collect. “What are you doing?” a little voice called at them. The men turned and looked at the child who had spoken. The boy looked around and saw that many guards had been killed and he walked barefooted in the mist of the blood without a tear dropping from his eyes, neither did he look scared. He looked at the men and to the dying one on the floor. “Leave! Run!” the dying man tried to say but his strength couldn’t let his words be heard. “Papa!” The boy cried out when he saw that his father was the one lying on the floor cold blooded. He rushed to his fathers body and shook him. Yet he didn’t cry even though his father was dead. The men in black looked at the boy without saying anything. The boy was raged and then took his fathers sword that was lying on the floor. The sword was heavy for him because he was a child. Yet he took the sword. “You have committed treason! You dare to kill the emperor! I give the command that you should be punished by the law. You will be hung in the gallows of the rebellious tonight!” The child's voice gave power like an adult and it showed he was royal. The man who held the sceptre stared at him furious before he bursted into laughter again. He was looking at the fearless boy. All of a sudden the appearance of the boy disgusted him and he wanted to knock him out with the sceptre. Unknown to him the boy already knew what he was planning to do. He also lifted his sword and then the sceptre and the sword collided making both the sceptre and the sword split into two. This was a very shocking scene to those standing. The sceptre had been in existence for over two millennia and it has never been destroyed. Getting it splitted into two by a child was really a shock. Looking at the splitted sceptre the man got so mad that he drove the half sceptre in his hand into the boy's chest. He had plans to do more but then he was interrupted by more armies and a fight started. Seeing that he was outnumbered and injured, he had to escape but none of his men survived. They rushed the boy to the physician not realising that the other half of the sceptre that vanished into the boy's heart. …….. YEARS LATER “Your majesty, your horse is ready,” a guard said to Bounced Donnelly who was getting dressed while the servants watched him. Just then a servant wanted to adjust his collar but his hand was held tightly as if he had done something wrong. The servant panicked. The one who held his hand was the emperor's second in command and personal guard. “Who are you?” he asked with a stern voice. The servant trembled. “I’m Cain, I'm a new servant.” “His majesty hates to be touched the most. don’t you dare do that again,” he warned. Bounce walked away and went outside but was stopped by someone. “Your majesty,” the old woman bowed. “Grandma,” Bounce said casually. “Your majesty, don’t forget that you have a date with Duke Backley’s daughter by 2 pm,” she reminded him. Bounce started walking away without replying to the poor woman. Bounce had inherited his father's throne since the age of eight and since then he had been due for a bride but he refused. He had proposed in his heart that he wasn’t going to take a bride. It was a woman that deceived his father and got him killed. He never wanted that to happen to him. The whole kingdom had attended his bride choosing ceremony but Bounce had instead gone to war and didn’t attend. Now he was thirty one and he was still bent on not getting married. This had baffled the whole kingdom. Bounce male beauty and power had reigned all through kingdoms and many wanted to give him their daughter but he refused. Bounce went to his stable and waiting for him was his huge white stallion decorated in white lethal and symbol of the empire. It was indeed a beautiful and strong animal. Just like its owner, it was the envy of all. “Vitesse,” Bounce called and the horse brawled to acknowledge him. The horse was the first gift his father had given to him and he cherished it as much as he cherished his life. The stallion was treated better than even the dukes in the empire. Just then someone walked into the stable. A very beautiful woman who was dressed in a very beautiful blue gown walked in. “Your majesty,” Alicia curtsied with poise and she had a smile on her lips. Even with the way she was acting, she didn’t dare to move closer to Bounce. Everyone knows how mad he gets when people move closer to him. Only two persons were allowed to move close. His grandmother and his second in command. The woman tried to move close to the horse but it moved its head suddenly making her move away. Just like its owner, it wasn’t friendly. Definition of beautiful but dangerous. When Bounce was grieving his father, many had thought that his attitude was overbearing but later everyone got used to it. “Your majesty, my father had sent me to give you……” “Give it to Mitchell,” Bounce said without listening to what she brought. He hopped on his horse and galloped away. Mitchell also hopped on his horse not even minding Alicia and followed his emperor. Alicia was so sad that she gritted her teeth. “Don't worry Bounce, I will make you mine,” she said aloud before leaving.
